We arrived this past Friday and were staying for Father's Day Weekend. I cannot say enough great things about this place! We were 4 adults, 2 toddlers). We rented a cabin and were so pleasantly surprised when we got there. The cabins have recently been renovated so they are all brand new. Fully stocked with everything we would need for the weekend like dishes & cooking supplies, dish towels, pot holders, even veggie peelers and strainers. Coffee machine, toaster and microwave all included. Full bathroom. Very clean! The staff was extremely nice and we had no issues with any of them. Everyone was very helpful. In back of the cabins was a beautiful stream. And in the front we had our own firepit with grill attached and picnic table. The kids honestly had such a blast running around! There is an awesome kiddy park where our toddlers loved to play (they are also building another new one for older kids next to it). On Saturday night they had a great dj come and play music. The pool was under renovation during our stay, but that's ok as we went to a gorgeous swimming area right down the road from the campgrounds (walking distance). The convenience store had DVDs to rent and things like syrup and sugar that we forgot to buy earlier. The adult lounge had cable tv and a pool table, along with a few games. They are doing a lot of construction to update the place and make it really nice. We had a great time and will absolutely be returning!

Arrived earlier this week. Our first impression mud and standing water. Not great way to start when you have dogs. Gravel could fix the water puddles and mud here. Bathrooms. OMG. Nasty! I noticed the person signs the sheet everyday that they cleaned them. Not!! There wasn't toilet paper half the time. Toilets were backed up but people keep using them anyway. Trash wasn't emptied for 5 days. Really smells in the restrooms. Using their showers? Bring water shoes. Do not let your bare feet touch the floor! Glad we have our own bathroom in our RV. Laundry room had trash piled up. Needed swept. There is a sitting room next to laundry at entrance. Very dirty. Floors looked like they haven't been vacuumed in months! Only one light works. Lamps are unplugged and have no light bulbs in them. Playground near my side is out of date. Playground by pool very nice. Pool seems nice. I didn't use it. Rec and snack bar area. Not much to it. Unfriendly staff in this area. Staff in front office was nice. Staff or riding around on golf carts were nice. Mini golf has been let go. What a mess! Can't believe they refer to this as a resort. I know I'm staying here free. But the Thousand Trails membership wasn't free. Over 3K for the membership that bragged resort type RV parks. Most have been. This one just junk! Looks like a low class trailer park.

They have many options all for Tent Campers (that includes this wonderful little wash/dish/ bathroom/ shower hut) include a charcoal grill The main building has a HUGE CLEAN bathroom, several stall toilets and several open/separate roomed showers Pop ups fit wonderfully where ever you are comfortable, some of the tent sites even include an electric outlet, if you want to rough it with an outlet. Great easy pull in, or back in sites for bigger RVs with water/ electric/ and sewer hook ups This campground is new to this owner for a few years now, and 2020 has not been nice with a couple fires. But they are working hard, and really go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. They had to make some 2020 adjustments and move the store to the front in an older camper and it is ADORABLE! I love the idea of a little mini check in office ( I think you should keep it) Wood available on site for 5$ a bundle Bags of ice for 3$ And ice creams for the kids Thank you for a wonderful stay

The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

Of course, if you're visiting Yogi and friends, you're coming for the kids (and the water park). They have events you can sign up for, but don't count on them actually running. For example - the first night there was the silent disco. This is where you get headphones and get to rock out to your own music and just dance around. Good for kids and easy on the parents/anyone with sensory issues where it might be very loud. Except it didn't work - the headphones, the music, none of it. The young teens working there looked bored out of their skulls. Did nothing to entertain the kids waiting. After about 10 minutes of futzing around with the equipment, they were like eh "so and so said we didn't have to do the disco". Kind of annoying. On a rainy day, our laser tag got cancelled. Also kind of annoying, but you can't control the rain since this is an outdoor event. Wish they had some kind of indoor space in general for this in the event of rain. The inflatable pillow jumping pads were not inflated any of the times we visited the playground area. On the aforementioned rainy day, we took a stroll to the crafts area and figured, well maybe we can each get the kids something to paint. Except we were told that they don't do that, you have to pay them come back at the specified craft nights. What??? There's two people working here. And there is tons of stuff. But we can't buy something and just paint or assemble any of the crafts now? Make it make sense. Also, don't count on actually meeting Yogi Bear if you pay for the special Yogi Bear breakfast because we did pay for this add on, and neither he nor Boo Boo ever came to the outside pavilion where the event was. The attraction here is really the pool and splash parks which were a lot of fun for the kids. It opens at 10, which is kind of late. If you have kids, they're probably up early and chomping at the bit to come here. There are few other things to do before hand, other than mini golf or the play ground. The mini golf was cute and it's nice you can just play at your leisure and the equipment is always out. Other nice thing was the AC in the cabin worked very well. When we stayed it was mid-upper 90s and very humid. But you might want to wear shoes/sandals because the floor left the bottom of our socks quite dirty when we had them on and not crocs/sandals. The loft area in the cabin was a hit with the kids as well. All in all, our experience here was mixed. Would we come back? Eh. Maybe. The kids had fun and at the end of the day I'm grateful for that. But I'd like to explore other places before returning most likely.

But most important to us: We work from home and are only able to take extended trips by working wherever we are. It is VITAL that we have reliable internet to do this, however, so we always call ahead about the wifi. Before we rented, we called, asked about the wifi situation and were assured we would have a spot with a strong signal. My husband owns a software development company that customizes systems for businesses, and we have to be available to our staff of developers and programmers mornings and evenings. The internet did not work... at all. When we attempted to contact the owner/manager(?) by phone, there was no answer. Our voicemail messages went unreturned. Our email was also ignored. We finally got a return text but the owner said we should try getting on the wifi outside (in the cold). She then suggested we should enlist the help of a neighbor to connect (Again, we own a tech company. Not knowing how was never the issue.). She was very rude, dismissive and then devolved from the person we had just seen walking everywhere claiming they couldn't help us, because they can't walk, were tired, in pain and "about to be sick". We discovered that there was an up charge for "premium wifi"... So, if that is indeed the case, we just needed someone to take our credit card number by phone to give us the premium access to the internet. We suspect "premium internet" is a myth, since as soon as we requested it, the owner stopped replying to our messages. The final message we received was an ALL CAPS claim of being practically at death's door. If that's the case, someone else should be onsite to handle issues. We will be requiring our rental fee back. Avoid this place. It's pretty much falling apart, and the personnel here appear to have zero interest in taking care of guests' needs.

The campground is on three levels, with nice large lots with a fire ring and picnic table. Wifi and cable is included. The wifi connection was pretty fast, especially for a campground. The bathrooms and individual private showers are nice and clean. I did use the laundry, which was very nice, but very pricey! $2.50 to wash and $2.00 to dry. But this is New York, so I wasn't all that surprised. The Pavilion on the upper level was staffed for most of each day, and there were all kinds of activities which the kids adored. At the time we were there, our girls were the only kids in the park, and they got lots of personal attention. They made several crafts, played putt putt golf, and went on a nature hike. Even though it was pretty cool they swam in the heated pool both days (it's kept at about 82 degrees). The playground is very nice for younger kids. We were sorry that we were leaving before the holiday weekend, because there were lots of things going on for families. The staff was also helpful to us, providing us with written directions to nearby grocery stores and pharmacies, as well as directions on how to take the train into the city, which we were also able to do. The price was higher than we usually pay to camp, but the location and amenities made it worth the extra cost. We are already talking about coming back next year! Another thing that was nice about this park was that they gave me the name of a pet sitter who comes to the park, so that we could have care for our dog while we went to the city. I have never seen this at any other campground, and I really appreciated it.
