    Tonkatsu and Sashimi Set

Giving this a 4.5 - if your in the area this a great jaapanese soba spot! I've been here twice, the 1st time getting the soba noodles and the 2nd time getting this tonkatsu & sashimi set. The food here tastes pretty good overall (not just the soba noodles). I found out they are also doing breakfast on weekends so I look forward to trying it out!

My husband and I was looking for a place to eat and we don't know what to eat.. was thinking about ramen, but then we pass by this place and decided to give it a try.. It was a cold day so my husband decided to get the nabeyaki udon, and I decided to try the soba lunch special (cold soba with chicken tempura egg rice bowl) OMG.. the udon was sooooo delicious!! Not sure if it's because it was cold outside, but this hot udon hit the spot!! Not that the soba is not good, but since the udon warm you up right away, soba seems to make you cold.. they were all delicious and we would definitely go back for more!!

Hard to find a better place for cold soba. It's not a 5/5 but there is nowhere else to go if you want a heaping bowl of cold soba. If you've experienced the real deal in Japan then this is as close as it gets in this area. You will leave full and I appreciate that the noodle portion is adjustable. I usually get the set which comes with different rice dishes. We also got the tofu agashi which was decent. The okonomoyaki pancake was also pretty good. They renovated the interior so it's more spacious with more seating. There is also more parking constructed near the restaurant. Service is quick. You won't be dissatisfied eating here!

If this place were closer to me I would visit it once a week. This is as authentic as it gets for Japanese soba/udon in this area. Their picture menu will have your head spinning because of the endless food combo dishes. On this visit I chose their AZUMA GOZEN SET. You can have the soba cold or hot. For the noodles just know that you will paid the same price whether you choose small, medium or the large (100 grams of soba per portion). I loved all the sides that came with, super delish and their tempura is one of the best I have ever had. And don't get me started on their gorgeous presentation. I plan to come back to try their other dishes. Reservations are highly recommended as the place has limited seating. Staff is super friendly. Fun fact: buckwheat noodles has many incredible health benefits so slurp up!!

We randomly walked in to this place after seeing their menu and seeing the activity inside and I'm glad we did. The place has around 10-15 tables and it was almost full on Friday evening. They have an extensive soba and udon set menus (the menu has photos) and everything looks so appetizing. We each got a cold soba set - their summer special fried eel set and beef and tempura set (both regular size), and also a mini pork cutlet curry to share. The noodles were cooked to a perfect tenderness and the cold soba was both refreshing yet soulful on a hot summer evening. The curry hit all the notes as well. We had to wait a little longer than usual for our food because the person who took our order forgot to put it in but our server was so accommodating and tried to get our order quick once they found out what happened. I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area to try their udon set next time. The dishes are all reasonably priced in my opinion as well. -9/10

Came here on a Saturday night and it was packed! We had to wait around 20 minutes which wasn't that bad. Service- everyone was super friendly and attentive. Definitely love that. Food- everything was amazing! From the freshness of their salmon and their udon was so good! It was a cold day so their udon was on point. Their tempura was battered well- not too dry and had the perfect texture and crunch. Overall- would definitely come back here when I'm in the area. So worth trying !

Yummy soba!!! Super chewy and very good texture. The salmon and sushi rich were pretty good and the price was amazing! You can get up to 300 grams of noodles for the same price as the normal 100 grams. The tonkatsu was a little soggy and the rice was okay.

I was never really in to soba noodle but we are so glad we gave this place a try. The server was excellent, I lost count of how many times he bowed (a gesture of gratitude and respect) and he was so helpful with recommending something from the menu and make sure we had everything we need. I don't usually ordered udon because I thought we could make them at home but recently we had some good udon in Morristown. The udon at this place is at another level. The soup was boiling hot when it came to the table. The pork was perfect with a little fatty portion. The soup just very hearty and makes toot belly warm and happy. The shrimp tempura was light, not greasy and well done. Soba was good as well though not as outstanding as the udon. We were too full to eat the chicken over rice but tried a little piece and it was very good. Would definitely come back again.

Suchhhhh good soba here! They do both hot and cold versions. The broth is always flavorful and the noodles are a good texture! The staff is nice and the restaurant is a good size and we've never really had to wait for a table!

Very impressed with this restaurant and did not disappoint. They had so much on the menu and sets at an affordable price. You can choose whether you want the soba to be cold or hot and how much noodles you want. Me and my bf got the soba combo set. One with shrimp tempura and the other with pork cutlet curry. Both were really delicious. I was scared the soba broth would be too salty but it was perfect as well as the noodles. Definitely will come back and workers were really nice and checked up on us

I want to preface this by saying if my brother wrote this review, it would definitely be five stars. He liked this place enough to come back here and take me and my family. I think for me it's a four stars but I'm splitting the difference and rounding up partially because the prices were reasonable and many things were still delicious and everything was baseline Good. We ordered a couple of things - soba with tempura, soba with raw fish, soba with curry katsu, and a warm soba. Everything was yummy and what you like best is probably a matter of your personal preference (as evidenced by my family and our different favorites). The curry katsu was excellent - I love a good katsu not any old katsu and I would come here again just to have their curry katsu. The soba with the raw fish was also good and I loved how cozy the warm soba was. I am only a four for myself because I felt the soba was good but didn't blow me away, and tasted similar to noodles I had made a few weeks before eating here. I did buy them from Japan so it makes sense the quality was similar but once you know how to do it, it does feel pretty simple (and I am not an impressive chef by any means). Still! A good place to eat and a yummy meal.

Great spot for traditional Japanese soups and more. Recently enjoyed some warm, savory Udon with Donkatsu at Azuma with my wife who enjoyed Udon with shashimi. Azuma is a very warm, well appointed restaurant that's very inviting. Service is timely and extremely polite as you might expect. And the food prep looks as good as it tastes. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning again soon and often.

Been here a few times so far and I can say that this place is consistently good. The food is always delicious and prices are fairly reasonable. I love their noodles which are always a good texture, not too soggy and a good amount of chew. This time I got the udon and donkatsu curry rice combo. This was the first time I tried their curry and it did not disappoint! The donkatsu was crispy and not dry at all, the curry was advertised on their menu as homemade and tasted great as well. Both the udon and curry came out piping hot the way I like it. Service was good as always and they keep the space very clean. Can't wait to come back again!
