Now I have to take Benadryl because I am too far away from this location to return the orders. It is best not to order from this location. I've been to many Sobol's in different towns, and this one has the freshest fruit. Many of them have old strawberries and so I've stopped asking for strawberries in my Açaí bowls. Today I can say I actually enjoyed my açaí bowl AND the fresh strawberries :) read more

Went Sunday and was 30 minutes from closing so I get that the young woman wanted to get out of there . But having worked retail for 20 years I know how to handle customer service . Telling me as I walk in that it's cash only and only regular açaí bowls and they're all out of bananas as if to scare me away so I leave . I ordered four bowls and presented the foodie card with my cash (that I ran three doors down to the atm to get ) and was informed they don't take the foodie card anymore . When of the lessons of retail is your employees are the face and representatives of the company. The young woman needs to be trained or have more staff on hand so she is not the only person working doing everything . Sorry. Not going back to this location read more

I give 3 stars because I do highly enjoy their Açai bowls. A few months back I received a $10 gift certificate for Sobol from the long beach location. On the gift certificate it says "find a sobol near you" and it's worth of $10. I was super excited when I learned they opened the Hewlett one which is much closer to me. Yesterday I went in to get two Açaí bowl and use my GC. The first person who rung me up said hold on and got another employee from the back when it came time to using the GC. The young girl told me she had no way of inputting it as it didn't have a scan bar or number to input.. so told me I couldn't use it which made absolutely no sense to me as it is literally a gift certificate from sobol. She said I had to use it where I got it.. when it didn't say that anywhere on it. So whatever I didn't push it and figured she just didn't know how to use the system which in customer service you'd think she would've maybe contacted someone who did know as it clearly was not an impossible task.. then we got our açaí bowls and left not even a have a good day from the staff lol when we ordered our bowls we both asked for peanut butter to be added which obviously was an extra charge.. got home.. no peanut butter inside. Just poor customer service so definitely won't return to this location since the Long Beach location has much better customer service. read more

I have been to every sobol in Long Island and I have never had any complaints until I have come to this one. The service was disgusting. There were 2 girl, one of them was the sweetest, had the biggest smile on her face and greeted every customer, She had curly hair. There was another girl working with her, she was acting like the manager but I have spoken with the manager and that is not her, sadly she took my took my order. I sat there and watched her charge double for an extra topping. Then when it was my turn at the register she told me cash only, while the other people there payed with a card. She took 20 minutes to make my smoothie after I asked about it. I will never come back. I don't understand how someone who is this rude is still working at this job. I've looked at the other reviews and I'm not the only one who has complained. Cudos to the girl who had the best attitude but I can't say the same about the other. 0 stars. read more

We went in at 7:20 on a Monday. We saw the chairs up and a woman mopping. So they were certainly in a rush to close. The woman taking our order looked very annoyed. I understand they were 40 mins away from closing but during the hours you are open you should still try to service your customers. We spent over $50 worth of smoothie bowls and all of them were disgusting. My family and I frequent another location VERY often and never have an issue. But this location lacked consistency in the blends, the fruits were not placed well on the bowls. WHILE she was making them my mom said why are the bowls only getting 2 blueberries. She replied, "yea we don't give a lot". If we are paying extra for fruit toppings (which we did) why are you serving 2 blueberries per bowl?! My bowl had a small banana end in it and it was not cut well. It just was not a good experience and the quality was not up to par. read more

I want to say that this place does have very good food. Every time I come in the açaí bowls are very good, one of the best around. That being said, I am rating so low because every time I come in, I have a bad experience with the staff. They are very rude and it hasn't just been a one time thing, it's literally every time I go in there. I understand that working with costumers can be difficult sometimes, but I haven't done anything to cause such rude responses. Even just walking in they gave a dirty look! I read all of the reviews and I haven't seen anything regarding the staff so I am wondering if I am the only one with this issue. I feel badly writing a negative review but it's come to a point where something needs to be said. read more

Saw a new store had opened in the shopping center so went in to investigate. The inside was clean and simply decorated. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Had a fruit bowl. The fruit was fresh and delicious I would definitely go back for another or try something different. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Inspired by his family's successful ice house, Jason Mazzarone created the Acai Café in 2012. this location has one of the best smoothies ever around. I've been to Rvc and Long Beach and nothing compares to this one. They are super friendly very nice and organized. Super clean. Customer service is the best here some girls, a little quiet and some are more talkative than others, but very respectful we come sometimes in the morning and it's amazing. We had never had SOBOL before and decided to give it a try. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by the owner named Russ who was very friendly and happy to explain the menu to us. My wife got the Acai Bowl with a scoop of Nutella. My son had the Super Green Smoothie, and I had a Pitaya Bowl with a scoop of cookie butter. All three of us were pleasantly delighted! Saturday night I was my husband thinking on getting some thing to eat and didn't know what but then we were driving by hewlett on Broadway and saw sobol it was like last minute we came it was like 7:55. And there was only one girl, but she was so sweet. We asked her if it was OK she took care of us wonderful we got four bowls and a smoothie and everything was great.
