He not only said he could do everything we wanted but he also made several great suggestions on how we could save money including cabinets. The pandemic really screwed things up as far as timing and delayed our project several months. Jose made sure we had everything ready to go and prioritized our project to get it done as soon as possible once we finally received our permit. It was crazy how fast things moved after that. Jose and his team worked daily, sometimes late into the evening to make sure we got our project done by our targeted move-in date. There were some surprises a long the way and we also made a number of last minute decisions including asking Jose to install flooring throughout the entire first floor. Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.
