I am a big lover all cider and a few months back was delighted to discover a cider bar nearby! I invited our beer drinking friends out to drink so that I, for once, could enjoy my preferred drink - cider - without being limited to the same limited options regular bars often have. I arrive with my husband and we grab a table waiting for the others to come. We both try the Limoncello spritz cider and get some food. My husband gets the burger and I order the breakfast wrap (with bacon) I believe it is called. First of all, loved the limoncello spritz cider. Would definitely order again. The food was also good. Second, we got 2 more ciders. My husband got the chocolate raspberry flavored one. I think called Sex Wax, and I got the Best Coast cider. The chocolate raspberry one wasn't our favorite, but I couldn't pick a favorite between the Best Coast and Limoncello one. I will definitely be back and have those again, and try others. We ended up being there for 4 hours so safe to say we had a grand ol' time! read more

Not pictured in my review were the Baja Shrp Tacos one of the best shrimp tacos I've had. The batter wasn't overwhelming and the size of the fish was a good medium portion. The tortilla is a yellow corn - yes there is a difference in taste. I also had the watermelon salad which was refreshing and sweet. My gf had the spicy chx sandwich - it had a kick of spice at the end, with soft buttery buns. Order at the counter and food is waited. Overall great vibes. I saw a small family with a child in the patio so safe to say it is kid friendly however this was during the day. Abbot Kinney has a couple lots and garage near the baker my sf the end of the corner. Pretty cool spot. Has a great selection of ciders and food although I wish the food came in bigger portions. I got the PB cider which I would've never gotten if I didn't try a sample. It didn't have a such an overpowering PB flavor. It was still refreshing. We got the beef and fish taco. We enjoyed the beef taco more. The fish taco was pretty bland. We came around lunch time on a Saturday and there was still seating available when we got there but once we sat down we noticed a line of people starting g to come in. There is a really chill backyard area with sofas and seating. Surprisingly wasn't packed. Service was pretty helpful in recommending what to get. It's def a cool spot to stop by if you're in the area. Parking is street parking unfortunately but plenty of spots to check out so it makes it worth it. read more

We popped in here for the first time more recently to grab drinks with a couple of friends and wanted to try the ciders here since many are advertised as gluten-free (which my boyfriend and I are), so we were excited. We've driven by the place many times and it always appeared small, but it was even smaller inside than we realized. It was fine, and cute and the vibes were as to be expected for what the place represents but it was honestly a little crammed and the seating was a bit uncomfortable. The service was pretty good (it wasn't very crowded that night) but they were accommodating and answered any questions/ food concerns. We got some fries and ordered the "SoCal Vibes Ciders" which was basically about 6 different unique ciders served on a tray. This much I'll say; we'd definitely come back for these ciders. Especially the "sex wax" which was a unique chocolate and raspberry flavor. So good, just unexpectedly good. All in all, I would come back, I just wouldn't necessarily come on a weekend so there would be room to walk/sit but maybe that's just my preferred vibe ;) read more

It's another place where you order at the counter, grab your table number, and let the food find you. The tacos are solid (not life changing but satisfying) and they offer a decent variety. The happy hour is a nice perk too especially on a street not exactly known for bargains!! In my experience, the service was fine, nothing special, but the staff is quick and the food comes out relatively fast. The atmosphere is really what I loved about this place. Indoors, there's the casual coastal aesthetic while outside there's a surprisingly spacious back patio that feels like a little Venice hideaway. On a warm evening, it's the perfect place to sit with friends and enjoy a simple taco night. I distinctly remember a lovely gas fire pit!!! Fantastic place, the "vibes" are definitely great in this place. They have a ridiculous amount of details from the paper umbrellas on the ceilings to the surface magazines wallpaper in bathroom. The bartenders were super nice and helpful with picking out drinks. The food is way better then you would think it would be for a brewery. Girlfriend got 2 fish tacos she that were great and she doesn't like fish tacos but decided to be brave haha. I had the bacon jam burger and damn that thing was good. We had a debate of how to eat a burger and against my judgment eat this one top side up. This savory sweet mixture was perfect. This is a great stop when walking Abbot and Kinney. I'm in love with a cider... and I found it at SoCal Vibes. I also found a cool vibe here too. The Mexican lollipop (I.e. spicy habanero watermelon) was SUCH a highlight and a treat. Hot damn! Loved it for sure. We also tried the mead based cider which was also delicious, much higher ABV for disclosure. I also enjoyed the cholada cider. Not as sweet or potent as the lollipop but still enjoyable. More mellow cider. I feel like you can't go wrong here. We didn't eat but the fries looked so good (& reportedly were per neighbor). The men helming the bar were a cool group of dudes. They gave us tastings prior to selecting, were warm and answered our questions regarding the brand and origin story. We also sampled their brandy which was likewise, knock your socks off tasty and I've never enjoyed brandy. The store has such neat interior decor that feels vibrant. It's well planned out but there's also an open air window to sit at or outdoor seating in the front and back. Plenty of space to find your preferred section. Discovered their cider from a random campsite bar and had to make the drive to come in person. My wife doesn't drink most kinds of beer or alcohol but loves cider and fell in love with SoCal Vibes. I'm not the biggest fan of cider but also fell in love with the flavors. Our favorites are the Sex Wax and the Lychee Mead. But you really can't go wrong with any of their ciders. And you can grab a growler or a 4 pack to go. Additionally, they have housemade brandy, which manages to still be delightfully decadent while being high in ABV. Come here for Taco Tuesday. My favorite place to grab a cider!! The best locally brewed ciders I have found thus far in Los Angeles. Their ciders are incredible - the best flavors. Had to try their two flights so we could sample all their current ciders. Not a single bad one in the bunch! The Honest Abe ones have a higher ABV on average with some delicious mead options - their Lychee mead was probably my favorite of the five. However, the SoCal Vibes had my big winners. The Sex Wax is 100% the way to go - it's a richer cider as it's a chocolate raspberry flavor, but it is absolutely delicious. The Life's a Peach and Piña SoCalada were two other favorites. Great food options, too. Their tacos are our favorite thing on the menu - their fish taco is fresh, flaky, and oh so tasty. Take advantage of their Taco Tuesday - 50% off tacos all day! Good prices for a glass - about $8 for a cider and $10.75 for mead. They offer some ciders in cans for to-go or you can purchase a growler. It's not the traditional growler as it's a 32oz bottle, but still perfect for bringing home your favorite cider not available in cans. Such a laid-back vibe. Love sitting outside around the fire pit. Food: Came in with my mind made-up that I was having a spicy chicken sandwich and then quickly changed to something lighter as I was meeting up with friends in a few hours for dinner. That said, ended up settling on the Chicken Quesadilla with french fries and a spicy cider. Quesadilla was smaller than I envisioned but perfect for what I needed. The chicken was fried then placed inside the quesadilla. It's about the size of 2-3 mini street tacos. Flavor was good, not too crunchy where you couldn't enjoy it, but crunchy enough where it held its texture. Came here on a Friday afternoon to dip my toe into the SoCal aesthetic and maybe justify wearing sunglasses indoors. Grabbed a blonde beer (because hydration, but make it adult) and the Abbot salad with crispy chicken--which, thankfully, was actually crispy and not some sad soggy afterthought. Disappointing experience -- wouldn't return. I came with three friends, and we all paid separately. I was the only one who wasn't given a receipt, and later I noticed a tip had been added to my total that I don't recall entering. Since it was processed electronically, there's no way for me to verify what was submitted. It felt dishonest and left a bad impression. I intended to bring it up before leaving, but the bartender wasn't at the bar -- possibly in the back -- and I was already frustrated and didn't want to hold up the rest of the evening. I also ordered a brandy with LaCroix, which was the only mixer available. Instead of preparing the drink, the bartender handed me a shot and a can. The apple brandy itself tasted more like juice -- overly sweet and not worth the price. If you choose to go, I'd recommend asking for your receipt and checking your charges before leaving. read more

Wow I was so impressed by this brewery. They have mainly ciders with a couple meads and beers. Also have a full kitchen with food menu. I had the lychee mead, blueberry mead, pineapple cider, and peach cider. My favorite was definitely the lychee mead!!! Everything else was solid can't go wrong. They offer flights so you can try out a lot of drinks! I really liked the aesthetic of the brewery and there's a nice outside area with a couple fire pits too. It is small but on a Friday night it never got overly crowded. They had a DJ playing mainly house/techno style music that added to the atmosphere. Service was good and attentive. I was looking for a place that served mead and was excited to see that SoCal Vibes had flavored mead and cider on tap. In Abbot Kinney you need to find street parking and we were able to find parking pretty quick. The whole place was decorated for Valentine's Day and had a cool vibe. There are indoor and outdoor seating, you order food and drinks at the bar and chose your own seat or find a spot at the bar. The drinks came out pretty quick. We started with glasses of blueberry mead which is one of the tastiest drinks I have ever had. Then we split the feta, mustard aioli, arugula burger and the loaded tots with the cherry brandy braised beef. If you are hungry you might need 1-2 items because they are not huge portions but very tasty. After the food I wanted to try a cider and got the "love potion" which was a cherry vanilla cider. That cider was out of this world and I really hope it isn't just seasonal and stays on the menu. The prices are very reasonable, about $8 for the glass of cider and about $11 for the glass of mead. We will definitely return and excited to try more items. read more

It comes with two tenders in the bun and one kept falling out of the bun and it lacked any spicy flavor. My daughter's loaded tots were missing sauces and the side of jalapeño. The French fries were also lacking. My son also thought his burger was undercooked. However, I did like my pulled pork taco. One taco for $9 is a little high though. They do offer a discount on Tuesdays. I enjoyed my Cactus Cooler cider. If in the area, I recommend trying their ciders, just wasn't impressed with the food. read more
