Family came in from out of town and wanted to go to brunch. We wanted to go somewhere near the water. Although it was a windy day, the view was great. I knew the food would be good because the restaurant was busy. Very fast service and server and hostess were both very accommodating to our group. The pancakes were perfect! The crunch on the edges was really good! I opted for a single peach bellini mimosa instead of the mimosa flight due to the the bottle being $45 but other than that, will definitely return

Call ahead for patio reservations! This place is really pretty! Lovely decor, comfortable seats and an amazing view of the beach! We didn't know we would need reservations for the patio so we had to sit inside.. it was still lovely. My friend and I both got the chorizo breakfast burrito. It did NOT come with the pickled onions which we didn't realize until after we left.... The potato's were tater tots which was disappointing. I dont think any one expects tater tots in their burrito when it says "potato's." It was still good. Te salsa was a little spicy but I loved it. Side of avocado was 1/4 of an avocado. Huge burrito with tiny amount of avocado.. Friend got a mimosa and I got a French 75. Yummy Service was ok. They were busy so we didn't see our server much. We will definitely come back for the view alone even just for drinks. Lovely place.

Came here with a reservation on a Sunday afternoon! We were sat down quickly and were attended by servers. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to provide recommendations of dishes The ambiance outside was clean, private, and comfortable with space heaters on this particular day. The food! Amazing! Each dish was cooked nicely, great flavor, and decent portions The chicken was crispy and not too thick and the waffles were cooked very well! We parked valet as it was the only option since the streets were busy! Make sure to bring cash for tips!

Totally enjoyed our meal at Beachside! Food we had was deliciously amazing plus beautifully presented and generous. The Pan Seared Scottish Salmon and Charred Branzino were just excellent! Fresh and tasty. We also had the Soup of the Day: Corn Bisque, just amazing! Ambience is a beautiful restaurant with ample outdoor seating. Definitely worth coming here for a great dinner!

Perfect place to have a Sunday brunch. I came here to celebrate my birthday with family and I can't stress enough the quality of service Beachside Restaurant has given us. Their patio dining is very beautiful. I recommend sitting there so you get a full view of the mother's beach and the tropical feel of the property. The staff is wonderful! It's like they're always keeping an eye on tables, so they can swoop in and replenish drinks, replace tableware, or even exchange a word of care. They're always on top of their game with friendly smiles. The food was tasty. I opted for the fish and chips. Honestly, it was good but I felt the plate was a little bare. I suggest adding lemon wedges, an extra side like a slaw or a salad. A little bit more would complete the dish and give it that pop of color and fullness. I loved that the waiter sang me happy birthday and brought out a little dessert with a candle on it. It was very sweet of them to do that and I appreciate it so much! Definitely coming back here for happy hour and to try out more of the items on their menu.

The food here was absolutely delicious. They have outside dining and it has a beautiful view out on the beach. The mimosas a delicious as well. The pricing is a little high but at the end of the day you come out happy that you went there. Just like I did. Service was kind and quick which is exactly how I like it. Will definitely visit here again one day. Hope to see you all there!

I brought my boyfriend here for his 40th birthday. He is a total foodie. So I was excited to surprise him and take him here. I was super disappointed. When I reviewed the menu online the menu they offered or should I say had listed had a very wide array of different options to choose from. I was really excited to surprise him here. As we entered there was no staff around so we were just standing there for a while and a line began to form, the restaurant was not busy at all, but the bar was almost full. We were seated and our waiter was the most impersonal waiter ever, he never even said his name, to us. It was like he was a robot. Again to see that the menu was not the same was disappointing, yet our appetizer came out super fast and over all the food was bland and nothing special for the price point, yet it did come out hot, which was a plus. I had asked for the server to sing him happy birthday and for a desert to be brought out and I picked out the desert to add to the bill and he said that he could not do that service, yet before leaving 2 other servers were bringing out deserts and singing happy birthday to 2 other tables. The view was pretty, I'm sure this place is beautiful and wonderful for brunch, but for dinner this is not a place to be for elevated dining. I was better off taking him to SALT for a better dining and food experience.

If you brunch on the patio, it comes with a nice view of the marina beach. The servers are very friendly & enthusiastically helpful...and they'll even let you linger on the patio for the 3:00-4:00pm shutdown portion between brunch & dinner service if you ask nicely! I had a mimosa that was generous on the champagne and the fried chicken & French toast. I feel fine admitting that it was so delicious I finished the whole generous portion! My friend had the eggs Benedict with lox, which I happily report that she thoroughly enjoyed.

Natalie! The hostess was very attentive and went above and beyond with her service. She was personable and very welcoming! The service of Kenny - was also personable and enjoyed the recommendations! Kenny really connected with us and provided top notch customer service! Great view! Great service! We had the salmon and shrimp fettuccine! Definitely will be back because of the food, service and customer service from Natalie and Kenny!

Been here a couple times when I'm in the area. Once as a hotel guest and once again off the street. Bartenders are good at what they do and cocktails are great. Wine list is mediocre but there is something for everyone. Food- Burger was tasty, club sandwich pretty disappointing, more like a regular chicken sandwich. Ceviche was tasty and I recommend. The ambiance, vibe and atmosphere is relaxed and beachy. Dogs are permitted outside and there is plenty of room.

    Birthday dessert. Just decadent.

Justin was an amazing server. Very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel taken care of. The outside seating was picture perfect. The even turned on the heater for us. The food was fresh and delicious. I had a breakfast scramble and my friend had the breakfast sandwich. Both worthy of ordering again next time. Let us not forget the mimosas!

The staff were helpful with our large group. They had a bridal shower this morning but still were score to accommodate us. It's a gorgeous beachfront location inside of a hotel/Inn. Most of us parked valet and there is also ate parking farther down. I had a breakfast scramble w/ avocado and a passion fruit margarita. The food was great!

Stopped by after seeing it on social media. It's inside the Jamaican Bay Inn. It was easy to go inside. We sat outside to enjoy the beach views but it got a little windy and chilly but the staff was able to bring heaters. I got the salmon $32 and my fiancée got the lemon chicken $32. The salmon was a pretty small size maybe like 3.5-4oz for that much but the red quinoa it came with made up for it because that was delicious! The lemon chicken was cooked to perfection and the broccolini was good too. I got a cappuccino as well which was much needed for the chilly weather. Overall good experience.

I don't usually leave negative reviews because I always try to focus on the positive aspects of a…read morebusiness and give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out.

When we arrived, the entrance was constantly blocked by the hostess and security chatting. One staff member told me to head to the bar to order, but security then acted like I was doing something wrong. A little communication between staff would go a long way. At the bar, I was skipped twice while waiting to order. When I pointed it out, the bartender told me to "hold on" while assisting a 3rd walk up after me. I asked if we could move to an open table with table service as there were many empty for ghe hour we had already been there and was told no because they were too busy. Fair enough, but that's exactly when management should be visible, coordinating staff and helping guests. Instead, when I spoke with a manager, the response was essentially that he was focused on the bar area. Good management oversees the entire operation, especially during peak periods. I was one of 5 people in our party who spent around $100 on food and drinks (apx $500 spent in total), yet the service was a mess. If it's self-service, that's fine...but make it clear and make it work. Instead, I was skipped at the bar while ordering, staff gave conflicting directions, and there was virtually no support once we had our food. We found ourselves constantly going back and forth to the bar for drinks, utensils, soy sauce, and anything else we needed. No one checked in, and getting help from staff or management was nearly impossible. The food was decent, but the customer experience wasn't. Venice Beach is always busy. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If you're going to market yourself as part of that vibrant community, you need the operational standards to match.

Everyone seemed to recommend this place, so I figured it had to be worth the hype. Plot twist: I didn't realize it was vegetarian until I was already looking at the menu. Normally I'd be a little skeptical, but WOW... I never once found myself wishing there was meat on my plate. I ordered the Spicy Italian pizza, the oyster mushroom "calamari," and a glass of wine, and every single bite was delicious. That pizza though... It was hands-down the star of the meal. Crispy crust, packed with flavor, and honestly one of those pizzas I'd happily drive back to Venice just to eat again. The oyster mushroom "calamari" was also surprisingly convincing. Crispy, flavorful, and a really fun twist on a classic appetizer. And here's the real review: I took the leftover pizza home for my parents, and we all know leftover pizza can be hit or miss. Somehow this one was STILL amazing straight from the fridge. That alone deserves bonus points. If you're shopping on Abbott Kinney and need a break (or if you're just looking for a really great meal), don't let the vegetarian menu fool you. Even this meat lover left completely satisfied. From the beginning, the service felt unfriendly. I tried showing my server what I had ordered previously because I wanted to recreate the experience I had before, but I didn't feel like she was very receptive or interested in looking at it. When my food arrived, the avocado toast was completely different from what I had originally ordered. When I explained that it wasn't what I had received before, it became clear there may have been a misunderstanding in how the order was entered, but the interaction made me feel uncomfortable, as though I was being treated like I had caused the issue. I wasn't looking to complain -- I was genuinely trying to clarify what I wanted. On top of that, service was very slow and my order wasn't taken until about 20 minutes after I was seated. My matcha latte was also disappointing compared to my first experience. I made a special trip because I had been so impressed the first time, which made this experience especially upsetting. I understand that mistakes happen, but I hope there can be more attention to customer service and communication in the future because I left feeling unwelcome and sad rather than excited to return.

The hostess was amazing and read that we wanted a more secluded table not next to big groups so she sat us against the window in the corner to the left of where you walk in. It was a lovely spot - the people watching was fantastic! Revelation #1: if you want a specific accommodation for your table, make sure to note it in your reservation, be nice about it, but also be understanding of the time. We went early to get a good table. Revelation #2: if you want to avoid people and a loud atmosphere, come for an early dinner. They bump up the volume of the music and bass around 645-7pm which means everybody is talking very loud to be able to hear above the music. Our server came quickly, we never got his name or I would give him a shout out. Him and his shadow were great, but our server in particular had some great meal suggestions we never would have picked ourselves. Revelation #3: If you're a foodie, ask your server for recos. Ask what's new, what's freshest, what's special. Especially if it's summer because they will be getting the best of the best produce every week. The meal: - Thai crudo: 8/10 - liked it was slightly different than what you would expect at a sushi restaurant - *Cucumber salad: 10/10! Bright, fresh, summery, special. Lemon, Italian, Persian and mouse melon (mini) cucumbers with herbs and citrus. Beautiful plating, fantastic salad and reco. - Myrna potato pizza: 5/10. Wanted to love it but was really bland following the cucumber salad. - Sweet corn agnolotti: 9/10. Really tasty just wish there were more! Think there was heirloom corn as a garnish. - Spaghetti: 7/10. Spicy. Too spicy for me but we are generally no-spice people so if you like spicy this is for you. It's not overwhelmingly spicy. Flavor was good but not mind blowing. - Pana cotta with seasonal fruits: 8/10. Nice and light. Ours was mango/lime. Opted out of heavier deserts because we were so full by now. Meal size talk: totally wish we would have gotten less food. A perfect amount for 2 adults would be something like: 1 salad/veggie, 1 meat main and 1 pizza OR pasta + 1 desert. You also don't spend SO much $$$ on food that way, which if you get some things that are a little off you're not so upset about the bill. It's a foodie place with a creative chef... Anyways, great meal and great service. We'll be back to try out brunch on the patio with the remains of our gift card!

We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and the bartender was so nice and gave us recommendations on the menu. The 'Way of the Road' milk punch was so perfect--smooth and flavorful, it was almost too yummy. My husband had a couple of the spirit-free drinks and he loved them, too--he said they were much better than the usual mixed juices that get passed as mocktails! And to complement the delicious drinks... oh my THE FOOD. We tried so many things and every single one had such a unique flavor. We over-ordered because we were celebrating my birthday, but did we leave a single morsel on the plate? No... no we did not. Highlights of the apps/small plates were the kanpachi ceviche (his fave), the tuna carpaccio tostada (mine!), and the baked oysters. We figured there's no way the main dish could top what we had (especially considering it was fish which is never my favorite), but holy moley the kanpachi en banana leaf with its delicious makrut lime flavor... I'm going to think of you fondly until I get to come back! (For any cilantro haters like me, I didn't even realize it was in there until right now when I'm referencing the menu to write this review, so don't miss out just cuz of that!). The side of coconut rice was so fluffy and perfect (not the usual sticky sweet version that's personally not my jam). For dessert we tried both the sticky toffee and the toasted coconut flan and they were both amazing, too. The flan had this touch of lime zest that added lightness and freshness and helped to cap off the meal without being too rich, so that was my favorite. Shout out to Diane for being such a fun server--we loved your energy and you made my birthday extra special--thank you!!!

The portions are also a solid size and not so tiny you don't leave full. Every single thing I had was a hit, from the fried chicken, to the tartare, to the pork belly and the dumplings - just divine, everything. The service was excellent and the vibes are intimate though the space is large. I highly highly recommend checking this place out as someone who likes most things but rarely loves a place this much, you really need to check it out. The drinks were also well crafted. The flavors take you on a bit of a journey with their complexity and the flavors blend so thoughtfully together. It's a meal to remember, and definitely a great option for a special occasion, too!
