I rented a space here at The Social Salon Suites for about 2 years and the experience my business partner and I had was amazing. Nourbert and Rosie are the owners of the suites. I can't even explain how helpful and kind they both are. Every time I had a question or an issue they resolved it right away. For example, I left my keys home one day and came to work I couldn't get inside my suite so I contacted Nourbert and he immediately sent someone to open my place. I never had a problem or anything bad to say about this place. The place is always clean, bathrooms clean, lunch room clean and they also decorate for all holidays. They leave you alone to do your own thing but when you need them they are there to help you. I easily rented the place and easily left with no problems. Coming from San Diego and finding a hair stylist in the LA area was not easy but luckily I was referred by a family member to Rosey at Mastery Of Hair in Glendale. Once I arrived, received a consultation by Rosey all my doubts were gone. She not only provided several options on color but also suggested new hair styles that would look great on me. Unfortunately I lost my business after 2 years due to CoVid. I wanted to update my review of my time at Social Salon Suites to reflect my experience with the management Rosey during this time of hardship. I put so much effort, time and money into my business but it wasn't enough to survive the mandated closing of salons. Rosey and Norbert were really there for me to walk me through government funding and to do whatever they could to help me stay. When you rent at Social Salon you really get more than just a landlord, you get a friend, business consultant, mentor, and cheerleader. Rosie truly wants her tenants to thrive. I LOVE THIS PLACE....I have been coming to Social Salon suites for quite some time. I go mainly for Hair Color and styling. Rosey is my preferred stylist, but I have also had the pleasure of experiencing other stylists there as well. What's great about this place is that they have it all! I don't have to drive from shop to shop to treat myself to different beauty services. I mean who has the time? I even had my brows tattooed. Greatest decision ever and now I save 15 minutes off of my daily makeup routine! I gifted my mom brow tattoo as well. My husband also gets hair cuts and has his hair chemically straightened. People are friendly and experts at what they do and this keeps us coming back! Great energy, professional, and easy to get to with free parking. I have had the pleasure of working with and also renting from Rosey. YES, Rosey is a property manager but don't forget she is also a licensed cosmetologist and has been for 20+ years. She also is a salon owner and suite renter herself and continues to works behind the chair. Rosey not only provides an amazing space for us to create at Social Salon Suites but ALSO generously shares, mentors, and coaches her renters and fellow stylist her vast knowledge of tools and goal setting techniques to build a successful personal suite business. Her wealth in understanding the challenges in all facets of the Industry speaks volumes. NEVER down someone who ultimately has the same goals set for themselves as their peers....success, happiness and abundance!!! As artists, we have to understand that life is subjective and everyone is going to have their own perspectives and opinions. Any stylist or beauty professional to throw another peer under the bus for being on the front line advocating for the whole CA beauty industry and being OUR voice to reopen OUR salons during this pandemic is absolutely absurd and disgusting. She didn't even charge rent for almost 6 months to her tenants whose businesses were closed!! It's all a trickle down effect so before anyone points the finger, take a long hard look at yourself and ask yourself... "did I use the tools and knowledge given to me to build a successful business"? LEASERS BEWARE!! I am approaching my one year of leasing here and let me tell you, it's been a bit disappointing. Upon touring social salon suites I was so excited to move in. I wanted a nice atmosphere to offer my clients. This place is extremely nice, from the bathrooms to the hallways every suite is exceptional. Not until I moved in I realize what a mistake. The Armenians here are EXTREMELY PREJUDICE and rude. If you're black don't even bother coming here (I'm black). I was poorly treated by them and told by the property manager at the time that's it's because they're "Leary" of "dark skinned" people. Wow. They stare at me and my clients until we are out of range without speaking. They'll stare, then start speaking in their native tongue about you. After 8months of being here finally Marine(Armenian esthetician) spoke to me. She said at the end of the conversation "wow, it's good to see you're a good person" what does that mean??? Once you ask for things to be done in your suite, you'll see that no one could care and Norbert(owner) will never get to it. I've asked Rosey(owner) personally to have something hung in my room last May and it's still not done. I've asked severely times. Rosey promptly fired the property manager and has failed to replace/fill her position and is no inconveniencing other business owners here. It took 5 days to retrieve my mail from the mailbox because it was an inconvenience for Rosey or her husband to do. The mailbox had been overflowing when I went and checked it. Hadn't been checked in a while. All the things they offer on the tour is not a real offer. They don't "check in" they don't help you gain or retain clients #falseadvertising. They tricked a few people this way and locked them in a lease they couldn't afford because they have no clients. For the price we pay for these suites I expect nothing but the best at all times. God forbids Rosey gets sick, like her most recent run in with pneumonia. Her whole business paused because "Tatiana I'm sick". We all get sick. Trust me I know, business still goes on. Rosey is undermining with the way she speaks to people and money hungry. (My opinion) I've heard things about her belittling the other suite mates and not providing the things she said she would when they signed the lease. When asked about it she responded "is it in your contract?" So just make sure the things she promise is in the contract!! She'll say they offer things like mail then when you want your mail the day it arrives she'll say "it's a courtesy to receive mail" these suites are in the $1000+ price range. My small 109sqft suite is $1900. For that price the customer service here is very shitty!! Nothing I've asked was ever done to my suite. Oh they "chocked" my AC 4 months after being asked because it gets below zero in the suites. #icebox I told them with it being so cold it compromises my health, they suggested I buy a heater. If you like being treated like this AFTER you sign your lease then this is the place for you . I'm including a conversation between me and Rosey and her terminating my lease early. Not sure if they posted in ordTHANK GOD !! I prayed for this. hope this review helped. A REAL HONEST REVIEW AFTER ONE YEAR OF LEASING HERE. Rosey walks in suites without asking permission!!!! Update: I received a letter from Rosey Ibarra's lawyer stating either walk away from your $600+ deposit, or we will pursue monies owed in back rent during the initial closures of the COVID-19 pandemic, and over $1,300 due for her claim that I broke my lease with her. She had asked if I would like to leave my lease early, ( June 1st instead of June 27th the original date) I agreed and proceeded to remove the remainder of my possessions out by the first. She then claimed I broke my lease. She gave rent relief to everyone else renting at the suites during this time, however excluding myself and a fellow renter because we were no longer intending to continue leasing from her after June 27th. To my knowledge she is the only salon suite owner who has asked for lessors to pay rent during a MANDATORY STATE CLOSURE. You can decide for yourself if you want to do business with a property management company like Ronor Leasing. Some of the other reviews that have been implored since my original review are on par with her bully tactics. read more

I would travel 23 miles here to get my lashes done and every time i came they would have something to complain about with my esthetician. She pays $400+ weekly for 100 square feet space and they complained of every little thing. They seemed very prejudice considering she was the only black worker. I have loved The Social Salon Suites since the first time I set foot on the property. I fell in love with the owner Rosey and the interior design and lovely smell of the suites! I am a tattoo artist and have been looking for a place of my own to begin my new business venture. This was exactly what I needed and I leased a suite here immediately after viewing it. She's up-to-date on the newest techniques and when she speaks it's clear she knows what she's doing. Many hairstylist are great at what they know and tend to push the techniques they are best at even if it's not what the client really wants but to Rosey it's important to get the big picture of what is wanted and she will make it happen. After 2 years of being at Social Salon Suites Im still in love. The salon is always kept fresh and clean. The interior design is just gorgeous. It's not your typical Salon Suites. The Suites here are spacious, unique and come furnished(small refrigerator included). But if you'd like to have a few things taken out or added the owners are always open to letting you make your Suite your own. There's FREE parking for your clients and if you work late hours it's totally safe here. Having WiFi included is also a huge plus. I am very happy with my experiences at Social Salon. I went for a haircut and also met an esthetician. Rosey gave me a great refreshing haircut that I really needed, then I met Angela who was very helpful with relieving an issue I had with my neck. I recently moved to Burbank and being so close to such a nice place in Glendale with so many available services is really great and convenient. The suites here are all new, large, spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is very nice having a place to park and it's easy to find right after exiting the freeway. Opening my business at Social Salon Suites has been one of the wisest decisions I've ever made. When deciding to rent from Rosey back in August 2014, I was still working for other people. This was my first time being in business for myself. It has been full steam ahead ever since. My clients actually tell me how much they love coming to this location for their appointments. It's always clean, quiet and convenient. One of my main concerns when looking for a space was parking. The parking is free for 2 hours on the street and the garage -- also free -- is always full of open spots. The salon is professionally cleaned nightly, so we are never concerned with the upkeep of the common spaces or bathrooms (cleaning your room is obviously your responsibility). The other professionals that rent the spaces around me are just that... professionals. They offer an array of services and everyone is courteous and fun. I feel I have made great friends by renting here. Rosey is the "Suite Lady" who is responsible for the buildout and management of the salon. She's also an absolute dream to rent from. She is prompt in responding to emails or texts, and always has a smile on her face. She clearly loves this place and puts so much into it. The salon is always looking festive... she even decorates for different holidays! It really is a pleasure to come to work everyday. While back in town from college I decided to visit soly who has previously had done my high lights, so I called and asked how much and she was charging me $350 just to retouch my high lights. So I book the appointment. and about a day before my appointment I had to cancel due to my flight leaving the next morning and I still had plenty of things to do, on top of that as a college student I'm very limited on money and I have to prioritize and wasn't able to make it to the appointment. I called soly and let her know I would not be able to make it and I was shocked to the core on the way she reacted. She basically went off on me, and ended the convo with "and don't think I can do your hair again !" And hung up. First of all she claims she been in the hair industry for years and yet she doesn't know how to handle a situation when a client cancels. This just comes to show she doesn't care about her customers if she easily said she would never do my hair again. I have referred many people to her and was a loyal to her as a hair dresser and this is the way I get treated when canceling an appointment. So think twice before you ever book an appointment with her, she might go off on you and deny her service to you. As a client I felt disrespected. read more
