I loved my experience here! One of the best massages I've ever received, done by the lovely Ava. Hospitality was wonderful. I believe her name was Lourdes, who was one of the attendants, was a doll. She positioned my friends and I for some photos and she knew her angles! Amazing services all around. They have light snacks, tea and cucumber water available. Possibly a 3.5 if I'm being generous. We walked in and their systems were down. Thankfully, they didn't turn us away, which is why their score is not lower. Multiple lockers were broken. The steam room was not working the whole time we were there - it only had cold steam. They do not have a hot tub. They say that they have all this skin care for you to use afterwards and they only had a cleanser, regular body lotion, and three different types of serums. The worst part actually was during my expensive treatment. They played the worst music I've ever heard at a spa and it was quite loud. It got to the point where I had to ask my therapist to change the music and it had to be changed more than once. I got the body wrap. I wouldn't say it was worth the price. The therapist slightly presses on your back for a minute, then uses a dry brush to rub on oil, wraps you, and leaves you. When she returns, she adds a lot of oil to your hair barely massages it, wraps your head, wipes you off and sends you on your way. I've gotten the body wrap at spa LA and it was a much better treatment so I'm very disappointed. This was not comparable. read more

She also helped me do a full blown photoshoot and made sure my husband and I enjoyed our anniversary massage day. However, I didn't love my couples massage therapist. Im giving a 3 star to her. My lady didnt say hi like the one my husband had and she also didnt tell me her name she just came to work, did her job, and left. I usually love deep tissue massages, but this one was actually pretty painful and she seemed to have an attitude. When she finished she dropped my belongings on me which had my phone in it and actually hurt my leg. I said "owe" out loud. She didn't say sorry or greet me at the end with water or anything. I didnt see her again. I would say to management just make sure your therapist mind their bedside manner especially at a luxury spa on anniversaries. I was picked up by Svitlana to have the Delux Organic Facial by Eminence. One star is being generous . Had a terrible experience . Went for a package deal that I read on their website, even called to confirm the package and what it included and the price I saw online. Afterwards when I went to pay , I was charged in full for a service that I was told was included. When I shared with receptionist the online special and what it said all she said was " I guess that wording is confusing" . The I said I called to confirm it though! She said there was nothing she could do. I have never written an email to a manager ( and I have never left a yelp review ) but I emailed, sent him screen shots of what was stated included in the package. I have to say it was a lackluster experience at Dtox Day Spa when I visited back in March. I meant to write a review sooner but never got the chance to do so until now. I scheduled a custom facial appointment while my friend tried their acne facial. We got there a little late because it was hard to find parking in the area so I thought it would be a helpful tip to account for more time to look for parking. We checked in at the front desk and they provided us with a key to the locker room where we changed into the robes and slippers provided. I was immediately greeted by my esthetician when I got to the waiting room since I was running a little late. She asked if I had any skincare concerns and I said nothing in particular so we opted for a moisturizing treatment. She started off with cleansing and face steaming while performing some light neck/shoulder and hand massages. Normally I'm very sensitive to massages but I could hardly feel any pressure this time around. Then, she performed some light extraction around my nose area and once again I could hardly feel anything, no pain whatsoever. She finished off by applying a few layers of moisturizer on my face and that was it. I waited for my friend to be done with her treatment in the atrium room and helped myself with a cup of tea and light Costco snacks (brownie bites and madeleines). When my friend was done with her treatment, she pointed out that my face was pilling from whatever products that was applied to my face. Thus, it's fair to say that my face did not exactly feel rejuvenated after. I could have achieved better results from my regular skincare routing if I'm being honest. The cost turned out to be around $165 after tax and tips, which is almost comparable to a Skinceuticals product that may take longer for results to show but at least it does its job. I would suggest going for a specialized facial treatment for better instant result next time. Oh I also want to mention that we could access their steam and sauna rooms before and after our facial appointments so that was pretty nice. read more
