The entire team - nurses, staff, and support personnel were all amazing. The food was great and the facility is comfortable and well maintained, which made her stay comfortable. In particular, Jessica, Michelle, Maria, Princes and Key xoxo and all the nurse staff provided exceptional care and kindness around the clock care. The physical therapists, Miss Elizabeth and Albert, were outstanding. They gave our mom the encouragement and support she needed to regain strength and independence. While she's taking small steps, we can already see her progress, and we're so grateful for their patience and guidance. The CNA's were helpful, busy, quick to respond, and easy to talk to. The OT and PT's were friendly, experienced, encouraging and skilled. The kitchen staff served hot, tasty balanced meals and would ask me what I would prefer. I felt more at ease and cared for at this facility than I did at the more expensive and higher rated one I had the previous year. It may be a little bit dated, but it is clean and the employees more than make up for any lack in newness. I especially appreciated how well the employees worked together without complaints, arguments, or gossiping in front of residents. My thanks to Tommy, Gloria, Josaphine, Rosalinda, Maria, Dawn, Walley, Esparanza, Victoria, and many others for their expertise, kindness, encouragement and patience.

It's like they forgot how they got you in there in the first place..... Promises and reeling family members into that SHIT HOLE of a care facility. The don't care once you have signed all the paperwork, the already see dollar signs. My family member was in this place, and she was sick most of the time. No one would come after the call button not even her yelling for help. She laid in her own urine for 6 HOURS, and nobody checked on her until we the family members checked our cameras that we installed and found this out. That same night they dropped her in the shower, and she broke her shoulder. It was all downhill from here. She never really recovered from the fall. even after the fall NO physical therapy. She was in better shape before we had her admitted her into Sylvan Shores. Today we no longer have my family member with us after 2 months and if we would have known that this place would not be taken care of her like they said they would, we would have never put her in this place. And she still would have been with us. If you are thinking about putting your family member in this facility DO NOT!!!!!!! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. You either freeze outside in the winter or sweat to tears in the summer until someone comes to let you in . Another problem is getting my mom's food heated up . First…read moreyou have to learn what type of facility is what and what insurance/Medicaid/payment options are. If it's your first time dealing with it this then that alone is a battle. Once you work through that you have to find the "perfect" place. I'm here to tell you the perfect place does not exist. Nothing is going to take the place of their home or living with family. And every single nursing home has bumps in the road. That said, I have nothing but high praise for Regency Village. Ignore all reviews more than 3 months old. Regency was bought by a new corporation 4 months ago and is aggressively working to make this the best place in the area for our loved ones. My dad has been at Regency about a month and I'm up there every single day, 3-4 hours a day. I've seen first hand the commitment to care. The office staff - admitting, reception, and business manager are all knowledgeable, accessible, and eager to help. Everything is laid out clearly and there were no surprises, delays, or issues with admitting or billing. Both ladies made a point to check on us after we got my dad settled. The receptionist is friendly and welcoming every single time. She goes out of her way to help. The nursing staff is accessible for family questions, well trained, and are intentional in connecting with patients. No one walks into my dad's room and hands him meds and walks out. They always stay and have a conversation with him. They care about the person. They are patient and tolerant with his grouchy personality! The CNA's are hard workers. Can the facility be short staffed in this area? Yes, but every single facility is. This is an incredibly hard job and it's hard to fill those positions. But, the workers at Regency don't skip on rounds, they don't ignore call buttons, and they don't rush with your loved ones. These folks work hard and have a massive impact on quality of life. They know it and they take their responsibility seriously. They also connect with residents. The therapy staff here are all above and beyond the average in house therapy. The therapy facilities are amazing and my dad has increased his abilities since working with the therapy staff. They know how to balance the fine line of motivating but not forcing. The facility itself is gorgeous. Clean, large rooms, outdoor space, quiet street. The workers are happy to be here and it shows. There is pride in being part of Regency. Make the time to come visit. I visited dozens of places before bringing my dad here. I'm so thankful we found Regency. This is where your loved ones needs to be.

My beloved Aunt Sherry has been at Baywind Nursing Home over 4 years now. During this time her…read moremedical care remains sterling and she has been very happy at Baywind. The Nurses and staff they employ there are exceptional and the reason why! Natalie Gibson, the Registered Nurse on our 300 wing, has been an outstanding, kind and gentle Nurse and a friend to us. She talks with kindness to the patients and the families. She educates us as needed and we consider her our family now too! She loves her work and her patients and she does an amazing job of seeing to what you need. She is a dream of a Nurse. Miranda Gibson, RN, is in Restorative Therapy and is upbeat and cheerful. She makes my Aunt smile and coaxes her to do what she needs to do even on those days she doesnt really want to do it! Garrett, Head of Maintenance, is a very strong and sweet man that fixes whatever needs fixing and feeds my Aunts beloved birds for her every single time. These simple acts of kindness mean so much to us! Maria makes beautiful wreaths by hand that go on my Aunts door and the doors of others regularly. It makes her room feel like a welcoming place and makes our Aunt Sherry so happy! Chelsea in wound care does excellent work too. She notices every detail going on with my Aunt Sherry and no detail gets past her! She can explain it to you too, and I find that so very comforting. The staff are what make Baywind Village a truly wonderful place for my Aunt Sherry to be and we are so deeply grateful to each one of them.
