I had never heard of Sodamingo but I'm a fan now. I love our offerings of "make your own drink" places in town that specialize in coffee and tea. What a genius idea to do the same with soda and lemonade. I appreciate that they offer both regular and diet/sugar-free offerings of sodas and mix-ins. There is no end to the concoctions you can make. I had a Sprite Zero with sugar-free Coconut, Pineapple, and Cherry mix ins. It tasted just like a Pina Colada. My husband had the "Cowboy" which was Barq's Root Beer with caramel, marshmallow, and cream. Oh my! Sodamingo also carries some noshy foods. I couldn't resist trying their "famous" jalapeño popcorn. Holy cow, this was amazing. The popcorn was fresh with a slight kick but not real spicy. It also included slices of fried jalapeños that melt in your mouth. It was packaged in-house and comes with a twist tie so you can savor it overtime, but it's hard to not eat the whole bag. I'll continue to go back as much for that popcorn as the soda they're known for. The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to please their patrons. Everything was clean with bright, inviting decor. There seems to be two locations in town and I really hope they'll expand to the Helotes area. I think they'd have a great following there. read more

Loved this shop. The owner was very informative about upcoming pop ups and everything they had to offer. He supports other small businesses and I love it. MUST TRY! Right when I walked in, it felt like a "Margarita-To-Go" joint. But, it's not. This place is basically a Sodashoppe with some Tex-Mex soul food on the menu. I already had food in the truck, so I couldn't order anything else. "Lillian" appeared to be manning the floor all on her own, and she did a great job. I told her it was my first time and that I was going to pair it with some breakfast tacos. She did not skip or miss a beat she laid down multiple options, and they all sounded good. I landed on the "Chupacabra" and boy howdy, it was delish. I bought one of their tumblers, and that soda stayed cold for hours. I highly recommend this place, and all patrons should buy the Tumblr $30, especially if they want a cool looking Tumblr. I love quesadillas, and it was on the menu. I was finally able to try this place. I keep seeing them on Tik tok so wanted to give a try. My first impression was it's so clean and such a big spacious place even has drive thru what a plus. Lots of base drink options then you pick your add in- syrups and/or fruit purée. They even have sugar-free drink options as well. All the drinks we sampled were delicious. They have a couple of snack options like local bakery cookies and in-house made popcorn or jalapeño popcorn. The jalapeño popcorn is delicious- popcorn popped in jalapeño infused hot oil and has dried jalapeños in each bag. Service was very friendly and I noticed they have advertised karaoke nights and local food pop ups in store. I pulled up to the drive-thru and there's so many options!! They all sounded delicious I decided on the SA TOWN (Dr Pepper, cheesecake, strawberry puree and cream) and headed towards the window. I was greeted by a nice gentleman that took my order. He asked if I wanted any snacks like their Jalapeño Popcorn or cookies. I opted for a beautiful sugar cookie w/ sprinkles. I got to talking with him about the place and they had their grand opening on November 5. They are closed on Sundays. They partner with Opal & Onyx on the sale of their delicious cookies. There's a variety of mix-ins, syrups, flavors & purees you can add to your drink and the prices are super reasonable. I'm definitely going back soon and referring everyone I know. I live on the other side of town, but my daughter and I were in the area shopping and discovered the place by accident. I took a wrong turn and there we were! It's what I've always liked to call a happy accident. Anyway, it was really nice to see a new business embrace an old fashioned concept like a soda shop. I went in expecting that they sold a variety of different sodas out of freezers, but was surprised to see they were in fact an old style soda shop. The staff was nice and we really enjoyed the SA Town drink made with Dr. Pepper, cream, etc. So now I'm looking for an excuse to go over to that side of town again so I can try one of the Root Beer drinks. read more

We like to support local small businesses and happen to drive by this place a few weeks prior to the day that we actually went through the drive-through. We got the sugar-free H-Town and made it dreamy. I ordered a 32 ounce size. The customer service was great, absolutely no complaints there. We went through the drive-through but the inside looked like a fun place and they have the good ice IYKYK. Now here's where things take a turn. They use fountain soda which is great but they use Coffee Mate creamer as the "cream" and are shy with it as well as basic Torani syrup that you can find at any supermarket, which left me wondering...why am I paying over five dollars for a 32 ounce drink with nothing particularly special or unique about it? The "cream" was undetectable as well as the cherry syrup. It just tasted like a diet Dr Pepper. I don't feel that the price justifies the product. The owners might want to reconsider because if Bahama Buck's couldn't make it there, I doubt people are going to pay that amount for one 32oz beverage. I'm giving an honest review about the product itself and not anything else. I think this place has a good concept, but they need to consider the economy and their competition which is right down the road whom specialize in drinks and are half the price. read more
