    Gyro Sandwich
    Mo S.

Soho in Minneapolis is one of my all time favorite spots in my Uptown neighborhood serving up Pizza, Gyros, Calzones, Pastas, and many other delicious dishes for years! My favorite is The Gyro Sandwich which comes with a generous portion of Gyro meat. I topped it with some Tazatziki and Hot Sauce and the flavor was amazing! Definitely check them out if you're in the Uptown Minneapolis area! * Gyro Sandwich- Tender slices of beef & lamb in spices topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion.

A slice of Cheese Pizza by Slice. A little crushed red pepper added.

Just passing through the area, I was waiting for my laundry and stopped in for a slice (2) of cheese pizza. Fresh hand-tossed crust. Generous slices with a nice mix of cheeses. The sauce is especially good. Many items on the menu in this little family-owned restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Wish I could try the calzones, stromboli, gyros, or pita sandwiches.

Awesome authentic Italian food without the high cost of the fancy dinner. Food quality was pristine and I love the unique character of the place.

Perhaps it is because I requested a window seat when I made the reservation. It was very pleasant. This visit was on February 21, 2026, less than a month since Alex Pertti was shot and killed by ICE, only half a block from the restaurant. I was glad to see the restaurant was filled, even very early on a Saturday night. The waitress was friendly and very competent. The humas was as usual, wonderful: creamy and tasty. My wife ordered the appetizer version of the Spanakopita, which was enough for her to consider it a entree, along with a soup. I had the dinner special of broiled Atlantic Salmon with white wine and butter sauce. It was served with asparagus and rice pilaf. This is something that I had never tried at Christos and it was excellent. It also came with a house salad, which was also very good. The total, with one glass of wine, was $70.88 plus tip. One question: Why do the nightly specials never change?

I go there for the delicious Middle Eastern food, which, for a buffet, is amazingly fresh and tasty. It helps, of course, that the buffet is replenished frequently. It includes a wide variety of salads, hummus, pita, soup, protein, and desserts--and it's all delicious! If you have not been to the family-owned Mediterranean Cruise, the building itself is surprisingly large and impressive. It features a 25-foot or higher ceiling, a private dining area, and even space for belly dancing presentations. While Mediterranean Cruise offers Mezas, soups, salads, rice and hummus bowls, sandwiches, and more off the menu, you must try the buffet to truly appreciate the breadth of their offerings. Highly recommended.

I have pretty high standards for Greek/Mediterranean food, and it just doesn't stand out anymore. The pita has been dry, although the hummus is still solid. The platters are fine overall, but nothing particularly memorable. Service has also been a bit underwhelming recently compared to past visits. That said, the atmosphere is still a highlight. The space feels very authentic with all the decor, and the belly dancers are always a fun touch. The patio is also nice if you're able to sit outside. Parking can be a little tight in their lot, but there's a ramp nearby which makes it easier.

The sign out front is no longer readable and it really needs a scrub down and freshen up. The food is still very good and very authentic, different from what you see at many Greek restaurants. Our server was lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. Finally, I used the restroom while I was there, which also needs a scrub down, and they were out of paper towels. On my way out one of the staff members was taking a break on his phone, which is fine, and I quickly mentioned the towel situation. He started getting up and said, "oh I'll take care of that right away." About 15 minutes later I returned to the restroom to wash my hands and the staff member was sitting in the same place. The restroom still did not have towels. Boo. While this isn't a dealbreaker it just didn't present the restaurant well. Not sure we'll return.
