Been coming to this place for a number of years. My go to place for a slice or stromboli after a night out. They are open late and have quick service. The non descript place in a small strip in uptown is easy to get to and has a small parking lot which is a plus. Very casual with some tables and counter ordering. The last time I stopped there was with the family after a play at the Orpheum. Ordered some Stromboli, a calzone and a slice of the gyro pizza. The stromboli hit the spot, and the calzone was good too. The gyro pizza this time was a little disappointing and not as good as normal. Maybe because I didn't see the main guy who I have seen for years serving or if they were just having an off day. Again, my defacto for a late night greasy, fulfilling dinner and hopefully will continue to go there for years to come. read more

Still love the gyro pita but wouldn't recommend the wings anymore. They're smaller now and today was the third time they have sent them without Buffalo sauce. If you order wings to go, suggest you open to package to verify they put the sauce on them. read more

Soho in Minneapolis is one of my all time favorite spots in my Uptown neighborhood serving up Pizza, Gyros, Calzones, Pastas, and many other delicious dishes for years! My favorite is The Gyro Sandwich which comes with a generous portion of Gyro meat. I topped it with some Tazatziki and Hot Sauce and the flavor was amazing! I've been going her for many years, it never changes. The pizza, strombolis, and calzones are always very good. I would stick to these basics, as the pastas and sides are just pretty conventional after thoughts. It's small and mostly a take out place, but there is still plenty of seating, and in the winter it can be a bit chilly inside. There's a little parking lot that's cramped, but usually you can find a spot, so you don't have to worry if you don't find one on the street. But don't try taking a left out of the lot, it's a nightmare crossing Hennepin. read more

My friends and I came in expecting great service, however it was not good at all. We ordered the chicken alfredo, which not only came cold, but runny / not creamy at all. We weren't going to complain about it, but then after digging our forks through the pasta, we found 2 short black strands of hair in the pasta. Like about 1inch long. None of us have short, black hair. We came up to the man and politely informed them about the hairs, and they tried to deny it claiming it was ours. At first we asked for a refund or a remake, but he said no and wouldn't cooperate with either of us. We even translated it because he seemed to be confused. A dependable late night spot- great for late night dine in or take out. Arrived around midnight and had a tough time deciding if I wanted pizza, stromboli, calzone or gyro... decided to go with the gyro combo. Thoroughly enjoyed the quality gyro meat, tsazitki and the seasoning on the fries. One of the best gyros I have had in the Twin Cities! We also tried the baklava which was shockingly good; probably the best baklava I've ever had anywhere- and the piece was double the size of most places. Found multiple hairs in my chicken alfredo pasta. They were quick to blame us for the hair instead of apologizing. It would've been easy to blame us if it wasn't for the fact that none of us had short brown hair. Asked for a refund and he would not refund us and instead made us a new pasta dish. Lost our appetite and then asked why we would even return the original dish. Overall would've been good if it wasn't for the fact that they weren't going to give us a refund no matter what. read more

Soho Cafe is such a dope underground place in MPLS. I usually get their gyro pizza and that alone is enough to keep you coming back. All of their pizza slices and calzones are super good and are heavy enough to fill you up but light enough not to keep you glued to your seat. Their desserts are incredible. I would really recommend their baklava... it's one of the best caps to a meal in my opinion. Their customer service is fairly decent and the energy of the place is great. I used to live in Uptown Minneapolis many moons ago. I don't live in the Twin Cities anymore. EVERY time I am in the Minneapolis area, I ALWAYS stop in to SoHo Cafe for their Calzones, Stromboli's, Pizza, garlic bread served with marinara sauce, etc, etc. It is all the 5 stars it deserves. The location is incredibly convenient as it is near other shops and restaurants. The service is quick and convenient, and the workers are kind. I found this on Yelp when I was looking for restaurants close to where I live. They are primarily a takeout restaurant that specializes in gyros and pizza by the slice. I hate ordering a whole pizza so that was nice to find and they're very close to where I live. But I really wanted to try their gyros because I've been craving them! They are on Hennepin avenue so I was worried about parking, but they have a small parking lot which is great! There were a few people sitting down there when I walked in, they have about 10 tables. It was very clean! I got a gyro to go and the service was very pleasant. I did get a can of diet Coke though, and it was warm which was a bummer because I like drinking it out of a can better than my glass. Crazy I know! The gyro was huge! I did ask for extra sauce but I should have asked for more because of how large it was. I didn't think I would eat the whole thing but I actually did because it was so good! Also prices are reasonable, so, it's a great little takeout place then I could run into when I need something quick and good. Give it a try! What you would expect from a small place that is open late. Greasy pizza, uninspiring ingredients, skewed sense of time management. However, it will get the job done, if it is to fill the hunger void without thinking much about taste, health etc... so yes, last resort during the day; a gem for late night munchies. We're frequent flyers to this establishment. The food is always quick, hot and delicious. Great option if you want a quick bite for lunch or quick meal after bar close. I really like this place because they aren't stingy with the veggies on your Gyro or Falafal sandwich. Other places heap on the meat and skimp out on the lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. I like a little more toppings with my Gyro thank you very much! Suggestion: don't park in their private lot, park on the street. After a long day at the City Pages Beer Festival, a couple friends and I went to the Soho Cafe to soak up some drinking and have heard they have the best Gyro's in town. We walked in and were promptly helped by the guy behind the counter. I was told I needed to try the gyro. So I ordered the gyro and a diet Coke. Lots of meat and a fabulous sauce with lots of grilled vegetables. We sat for awhile and had some laughs and an all around good time. A great restaurant for late night eats. I've driven by this place a 100 times and have always wondered what the pizza was like. I didn't know they had Gryos...that needs to be on a sign! Good gyro. Came as a platter though so I had to build it myself, not the end of the world but I do kind of like it when it's all constructed for me. The whole platter was very good, very fresh vegetables and a really nice homemade Taziki (DA white guy spelling) sauce. Only thing I didn't like was the cheap plastic utensils. Good food. Good prices. Great portion sizes. Let's break it down. Food - The food was awesome. I got the baked pasta and my husband a Stromboli. Both were delicious. The portions were huge and I was able to take some home so essentially I got two meals for the price of one. There isn't too much to say except that I left feeling happily full with great food in my belly. The sauce on my pasta tasted nice and fresh, the cheese was perfect, and the meatballs were the perfect compliment. Service - No complaints. There were two guys doing their job. They were nice, took our order, completed it without any complications and made us some amazing food. I can't complain. Price - The price was great. Not too expensive and the food is enough that you will probably take some home. I love their mozzarella sticks. They're pretty good and my other favorite place for comparison would be Arby's. But here at Soho you get a larger amount for a good price. The pizza is really good, but I only eat cheese pizza. I haven't had much else from here besides the gyro. The gyro sandwich is a flat piece of pita and then you have to eat it taco style, if you're wondering what that's like... compared to other places that offer pocket pita... which I think is an easier way to eat gyro. Admittedly, most of my visits to Soho Café have occurred after 2 AM following a night of moderate to heavy drinking and sweaty breakdancing. But that was years ago... Now-a-days, I don't go out that much anymore, and I haven't stopped by Soho in a minute. Until a couple days ago... While doing several loads of laundry at neighboring Rainbow Laundromat, I finally had the opportunity to taste their food while sober and before the midnight hour. Food: Overall, Soho's assortment of savory eats is solid. I especially enjoy their big-as-your-head pizza slices and lamb-luscious gyros that will stick to your insides of your stomach. Service: They do there job. However, I've seen them overcharge drunken folks before, (including myself), so make sure you know how much you're paying. Prices: Reasonable. Soho provides solid food at decent prices, but I don't think it's worth going out of your way to eat there. If I lived closer, I would probably visit more often. read more

Quaint and fun place to go for petty good food. Actually very good. We love the meat stromboli. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and that carrys over to the staff. Friendly and welcoming as you enter and you get the same as you say goodbye until next time. When we went the place was quiet and there were regulars and newbies coming and going. Terrible Tabouli. All parsley, almost no bulgur. Way too much lemon, couldn't make out any other flavors besides lemon and parsley. Also the picture on bitesquad totally showed it coming pita bread, no bread. Two bites and decided to go out for lunch. It gets two stars cause I had the falafel there once before at it was ok. Great Pizza, and Huge! I really love the pizza here, and the fact that they are open for delivery super late on the weekends.. that helps me out so much! I would agree with Mattthew C, though, sometimes it does taste a bit old, like it has been sitting under a heat lamp all day, then delivered.. soggy... It is better to go pick it up, but like I said, delivery is convenient! The actual restaurant area is tiny, but they do a big business. The workers are all pretty talkative and fun to be around! I haven't gotten anything from here other than pizza, but I'm thinking it's time to venture out and try some new stuff! read more
