There is a good amount of parking even though it's on a small Main Street. The waitress was attentive to say that least. She actually kept coming over trying to get us to order even though we clearly were holding the menus reading them. After the 3rd time I let her know I have never been there so i needed more time. Unfortunately that did not follow into the rest of the experience. We got the app platter. It was ok. Everything was under seasoned. The marinara is sweet and tomato soup like. Mozz sticks were good. Potato skins which were actually sliced potatoes were decent. Pretzel sticks were fine. Cheese sauce was gritty. Chicken wings were ok. That's the word of the day ok and under seasoned. For mains we got chicken parm and famous Caesar chicken. The chicken was very well cooked but the sauce is the same marinara so it was only ok. For $22 I do think you could do better. The "famous" Caesar chicken was the same chicken but hot dressing and parm on top made it taste like fried fish with tartar sauce. I couldn't eat it at all but it is what it is stated to be. We got 2 sides with the Caesar and my friend chose Alfredo pasta and they counted that as the 2 sides and she added broccoli ($5 for plain steamed broccoli) the Alfredo was good. She got a soda as well that was never refilled. As a matter of fact we really didn't see our server again until she brought us a box for our food. Over all I would say this place is just missing the mark. It needs to season the food better. The servers need to leave people a minute to see the menu and then follow up throughout the meal. I think you should try it and make your own judgements but we won't be back.

Lots of knock knacks on the walls, many related to beer and trains. Deep menu of comfort food made from scratch. Good draft beer list. -- Depot Burger: Their more ambitious of two regular menu burgers (they also have some as specials) was a visual treat in a pillowy Portuguese muffin. This provided a full size patty cooked to medium rare with juices trickling from the gentle, loosely packed beef. Full-coverage Vermont cheddar added silky richness, red onion jam added contrast, and tomato and arugula added vegetation. The star, at least visually, was the bacon: crisp, yet soft and bendable, with glorious color. Flavor was even better, with a deliciously strong cure. The whole package worked beautifully. One of the better burgers I've had this year for sure. -- Fries (a $2 add-on to the burger): A big stack, hand-cut (they also have hand-cut sweet potato fries), cooked just to the point of crispness while leaving a little droop and fluff. Nicely seasoned. -- Beer: I was thrilled to see a Hill Farmstead Double Nelson on the tap list. Smooth, strong, and delicious. -- Buffalo Wings: Looked and felt a little different, so I asked. Baked, then fried, yielding some charred crust on the outside and some tenderness within. Good wings, but with great sauces: the homemade Buffalo sauce had some serious kick, some complexity (little bits of unknown herbs), and some vinegar too. Homemade blue cheese thick and zesty. On Mondays, $1 each in batches of 6 or more, and with a guest flavor on top of their interesting fleet (ginger is next). -- Quahog: A well-rounded stuffed pile with bits of chorizo crispily mixed in, served with lemon wedge. It needed it for moisture, but a formidable offering that still satisfied. -- Caesar Salad: A large one with two well-layered hunks of Romaine, with a zippy (maybe mustard-infused) dressing and a dense coverage of crispy pancetta. Numerous homemade, dice-sized, well-seasoned croutons. No additional Parm and no anchovy pieces I could detect on their, but that dressing didn't let me down. A different kind of Caesar, but a very enjoyable one. -- Steak Tips: Had as an add-on to the salad, this provided a taste without committing to a full order. These don't make my steak tips pantheon (Champions, Tuckaway Tavern, New Bridge Cafe), but decent. Cooked a bit past the medium rare but still somewhat juicy. Nice flavor too, but subtle. I wouldn't get these again; too many better things on the menu. Service at the bar was cordial and attentive on both visits. Friendly staff all around. Not everything was perfect, but so much of it was (and no duds) that it's impossible not to drop a 5 based on the overall quality of every aspect.

The menu changes weekly, and our party of four selected: * Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese * Tuscan Shrimp Pappardelle * Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle * (2) 1.5" New York Strip Steak * Cannoli for Dessert Let's start with the steaks. In a word, delicious! Both were cooked perfectly medium rare, tender and juicy. Two sides are included, I got the Beet Salad (tasty and nicely dressed) and the potatoes with bacon which were awesome. A co-diner ordered the same dish but got the Caesar salad which he liked very much. We both agreed, a solid 5-star dinner at a reasonable $37 price. The shrimp plate looked beautiful and substantial. The diner loved it and ate every bite. The Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle was also tasty, albeit with strong pepper undertones. If you don't like a lot of pepper, you might try a different dish, or ask if the chefs can cut back on it. That said, I liked it and would be happy to order this. Most of the diners liked the Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese Skillet (slices of Pecorino Romano cheese, warmed to a mild melt and drizzled with truffle-infused honey. The salty, sharp cheese and sweet, pungent honey are a classic pairing in Tuscan cuisine. Warmed and served on a cast-iron skillet). I liked it, one diner thought it was too salty, though that is the way it's described above. The dishes are all large, three of us brought home leftovers.
