Once seated, she had to ask someone to ask me what service I wanted (which was under my appointment). I told her I wanted the 2D/3D, only to just receive a classic set, which was fine. They turned out beautiful. I didn't receive instructions on how to care for them, just given brushes. The next day, I started noticing them falling everywhere, which was weird. They don't like as full as when I first got them. I reached out once I came back and received a message today. I normally don't wear lashes and probably won't now.

I decided to try out a new place when I couldn't get a lash appt at my usual place before a vacation. Im typically a little paranoid and critical when it comes to trying a new place, but Charity was very warm and sweet from the start. She had just moved to a new location the week prior but the studio was already looking beautiful. She took the time to ask what kind of look I was going for and showed me options. The whole process she made sure I was comfortable and explained the whole procedure and aftercare very well. I waited to provide review, just to make sure the lashes held up well and they definitely have! I am including a picture 2 weeks after appointment. I returned a few months later, this afternoon, for the Jet Peel Signature with Leigh Ann. Leigh Ann fit my insanely crazy work schedule before my Thursday Philly trip, otherwise I would have--and perhaps should have--booked in advance with Rhianna. To be fair, maybe I picked the wrong facial. But spending $212 ($185+15% courtesy tip) and getting subpar results for twice the price of my initial signature facial caused a few frown lines...not sure whether Tru offers Botox, but I won't return to find out. Leigh Ann spent the majority of our brief facial session (less than 1 hour) talking about how horrible my skin was, and how certain facials would help my skin condition in the future. Look, I understand addressing skin conditions and offering a solution--once or twice, which is what Rhianna did. But taking our whole appointment to promote future services while degrading my face and without providing quality within our current facial is a complete FAIL. Perhaps my standards are too high, but as a model who recently moved from Los Angeles and felt stoked off my first appointment here, perhaps it was today's sad service. The extractions were minimal at best, and aside from the hydro-blasting machine, this felt like a weak "slather-creams-on-and-call-it-a-day" service I could have executed myself. When I went to the bathroom while waiting for my Uber driver, I noticed a few white heads that could have easily been extracted had Leigh Ann focused more on my face in the current moment and focused less on future sales. As a Pilates instructor, this strikes me as no different than dwelling on a client's love handles and how "future services" could "fix" these issues, instead of paying full attention to my client and catering to their individual needs within our time together. If Tru Esthetics wants returning clients, it should provide more of the quality I experienced in my first session, and less of the promotional-fluff I experienced this afternoon. Rhianna completely zapped an incoming cyst in my first facial, and Leigh Ann could barely extract a basic zit today. Again, I'm disappointed that I spent over $200 today on results I could have achieved myself at home.

Kylie is incredible!…read more I had not gotten facials in the past, but now I am a repeat client. Kylie has been patient from the start, explaining what she's doing and how helps your skin. She uses high quality products and is very knowledgeable about her craft. Her space is in a shared salon plaza in Matthews. She meets you at the door, so you don't have to worry about getting lost! Her room is very cozy, which helps you feel relaxed. Kylie is kind and will talk you through the process, though if you want to simply listen to music or have a quieter moment, you can let her know when you book your appointment. She is, by the way, appointment only, so check her out online! Her social media is active (@kylieanneesthetics) with photos of her work and tips for your skin. This was my first time, I spent $200 and all but five fell out before the full week was out. It's…read moremy fault, I waited til the last minute to refill was told I needed a complete set, disagreed but I had an event and was in need. The tech told me that I will lose five lashes a day ( should have left immediately after hearing that) , she didn't seal them afterwards and told me she would not ( my fault again). So I did not go back did not call back. Figured it was my dumb choice to allow the tech to do this to me. When she finished I didn't have a graduate look, the lashes started mostly in the center of my eyes and I asked for those to be filled, instead she took some out she said to balance. Shame on me but not a fool to go back. So I really paid $200 she wanted $225, so I got a slight discount for my lashes to look cute for that one day.
