I had the El Pastor Chiliquitos and fresh squeezed orange juice and Mexican Hot Chocolate. All of it was just what I wanted. My husband had a more traditional breakfast it was huge and he loved it. He had fresh mango and pineapple juice. Everything is made in the kitchen. He wanted a biscuit but they were sold out. The owner explained that she only makes a limited amount so get there early. We were the only ones at the time who were not speaking Spanish. It felt like I had been whisked away to a Mexican Village to enjoy their delicious food. Absolutely delicious brunch with bold Latin flavors. The coffee was a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but the food more than made up for it. The country hash was packed with flavor, and the biscuits and gravy burrito with chorizo was --a perfect blend of spice and soul-food comfort. Cozy, welcoming vibes all around. The front door is just oddly very light so be gentle and ensure the door closes behind you! My friend and I came for an early breakfast and were pleased to see they opened at 7am. The menu took us by surprise as they had very fun options for breakfast including hashes, French toast and even crepes! But don't waste your time there, you have to order from their "eggstra special" menu, haha get it? So punny. For entrees, we ordered the Huevos rancheros and huevos encobijados. From their drink menu we ordered the Mexican cocoa chai, and their beet goodness shot. I really wanted to try their morning glory sipper but they were out of papaya! The owner even offered to wait for her daughter to bring her a papaya (OMG I love that, so sweet). We told her it was totally okay but she still ended up giving us some samples of the other sippers she made. And good thing she did because I ended up ordering the sunrise. I ordered the Cochiquiles, and wow -- tender slow-cooked cochinita pibil layered over crispy fried tortillas, with beans, crema, queso fresco, and a runny egg on top. The flavors came together perfectly, and every bite had that balance of richness and spice that makes you want to keep going back in. To drink, I had the Morning Glory juice (papaya, pineapple, kiwi, and ginger). It was spectacular -- refreshing, bright, and the ginger gave it just the right kick. Our server was very nice and helpful, even going as far as recommending her favorite drink. This restaurant has only been open a few months and is owned by a wonderful Hispanic couple that work every day along with their kids to make it work and I love supporting new businesses. Yum! This little gem is tucked away in a darling strip mall. It has an older, rustic feel to the exterior, but in a way that makes great curb appeal. We enjoyed the Veggiequiles and the Garden Burrito. I was so impressed by the variety of veggies! Instead of just providing a few sparse vegetables, our dishes were packed with goodness and flavor. We've been here three times. Everything has been delicious and a little bit different than normal Mexican restaurants. Things are made fresh, so they might run out, later in the day. They have their Sunrise Sippers, but the daily aguafresca is made just for that day. The chile rellenos are made fresh. I've enjoyed the huevos divorciados, encobijados, and the chile relleno omelet. My wife has had the Birriaquiles three times in a row. The sunrise sippers are sort of fruit smoothies. The chicharones are pork belly style. They are glad to answer questions about the menu. So much food she brought it home for dinner, so she must have liked it a lot as she is a picky eater. My husband said the Farmers Discada breakfast hash is worth going back for, again and again and again. The food is so different, fresh and delicious.
