Pretty good spot considering there is not much else in Middleton. Life alive ish but has more varied options and more protein options. Service was quick but my bowl came out before my friend's who ordered a full 5 minutes before me... we got the same thing. Protein berry smoothie was good, they were able to sub coconut water for the normal milk alternative. Tasted like protein powder but not that bad!! Bowl was good, lots of onions and olives. I really wanted to love this place. It is good, but needs improvement. I placed an order over the phone. Upon walking in, the place is clean, spacious, and overall aesthetically pleasing. However, the unprofessional and unfriendly employees ruined that vibe. I don't expect above & beyond service from anywhere, but a simple smile and hello will do. After paying $30 for protein smoothie and grain bowl, I waited for my food. The Thai bowl was good, but needs some more flavor. If there was more of that sauce covered on the almonds, it would have been tastier. I do like how they added sweet and salty (pineapple and almonds) to increase the flavor component, but it's not enough. The tofu was bland, no flavor whatsoever. The crispy shallots were the best part! I probably won't be back unless I'm looking for a healthy spot in a pinch. This was out first time at the new location. It definitely had a different vibe than the original. My Acai bowl was delicious and very filling. I especially liked the lovely granola on top. My daughter enjoyed a salad with tofu. We split CocoWhip for dessert. They were out of chocolate syrup, so put extra chocolate chunks on top, which worked out fine. I thought the staff was friendly and the service was quick enough. We went around 6pm and there was a lovely sunset outside during our visit. It appeared that they didn't have breakfast items any more. Not sure though. They need a sign outside. We had a hard time finding it. read more

Stopped by for lunch and had the lentil soup and tofu Rueben- both were delicious. Soup had lots of lentils and veggies- you feel good eating this food! The Rueben was very tasty and the tofu was well prepared. The service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and delivered the food to the table! Everything is made from scratch so it is so worth the wait! I also had the wheatgrass shot which was so fresh and made on the spot. Got a falafel wrap today. You would think that it would be filled with falafel but instead it was mostly greens and 1.5 falafel. It tasted bland, even though I had an add-on of pesto in it... I was wondering why. Come to realize there was supposed to be vegan ranch in it. I asked for some, and they said they didn't have any. The least they could've done is notify me. For a 10+ dollar wrap, this was really disappointing... next time I'ma just hit up an authentic Mediterranean place. Also the decor is tacky and contrived. Fluorescent lighting is depressing. They probably need to make sure they have all the ingredients before offering such a substantial menu. The staff is young, nice but seem a little clueless. read more

YUM. If you're looking for healthy, delicious, and of course Instagram worthy food then this is your place. They have a large menu offering things such as paninis, wraps, smoothie bowls, and salads. My favorite meals are the original Açai bowl and the casa panini. One of the best things about this place is that everything they use fresh ingredients, so you aren't seeing premade frozen food being used ever. Each time I've gone the staff has been extremely friendly and answered any questions I may have had. I highly recommend Sol Bean to anyone looking for something great to eat!! read more

I eventually decided on the Turkey Reuben Panini and a juice drink (which I then learned they no longer served, even though it was still on the menu?). I was asked if I wanted to substitute the drink for another, the Lemon Zinger, so I said yes--it was $3 more than the other drink though and I had no idea until I got my receipt and saw the individual price. A little expensive. The reuben I had high hopes for though but I was really disappointed. It was almost ALL turkey. There was WAY too much turkey in this panini--barely any sauerkraut and barely any thousand island dressing. Because of that it was pretty bland because I was just getting mouthfuls of turkey. Had high expectations for this place but just didn't live up to it for me. Girl at work had been telling me to try it and I was dying to try it so went by before work. Now I'm not familiar with setup or how to order so I'm basically a rookie at the healthy eating/ordering out type. I mean I can make a smoothie at home but no clue what or how to order here and was a bit intimidated when I got up to counter and there really wasn't someone to really help you the workers weren't that engaging when I was asking just pointing to rack where menus were like I can't read I wanna know about them for the prices I paid for smoothies I got I would've at least liked to enjoy them. I realized after I got mine that if lady explained to me I wouldn't have gotten that one but I learned. I may go again but will definitely bring my friend or do my homework first read more

I was also excited for this place to move into a bigger / seemingly better location, but it now seems like it was a poor business move. What happened?! The ambiance at the old small location up the road couldn't be better. It was friendly, welcoming, and the perfect little oasis to grab an açaí bowl and iced coffee on the weekend. The new location is larger but also feels totally opposite of the first shop. Decorations are sparse for a huge area and it feels mostly empty without customers in it. And now? They don't even SELL iced coffee anymore. Only hot. No espresso, no iced tea, nothing else. Considering the old location had a great iced coffee, this is extremely strange. And the prices were absurd. With tip we spent over $40 on two paninis, a smoothie, and a wheatgrass shot. I specifically ordered avocado on my panini and it arrived lacking. Had to go back to the pickup counter and wave down someone to get some. Overall, it's a huge decline from what it once was. The food might be similar, but the staff is all super young and doesn't care, at least 3 peoples orders were incorrect to some extent while i waited for mine to be fixed, and it's just a shame. I was gifted a lunch from here for Mother's Day. It was incredibly delicious. Went today and it was horrible, the chicken was thin, very tough and stringy. There was hardly anything between the bread. Service was extremely slow even with 9 or 10 employees behind the counter. It was more like social hour with no one to greet you. They have recently moved to a new location which was way overdo. Their old spot was crowded, dirty, and parking extremely limited. I am big into smoothies but I don't have the time to make my own in the morning so I was excited to see their offerings. The prices are high which I don't mind paying for quality ingredients. The ingredients they use are not high quality though, some of the smoothies they charge OVER $10 for are made using Market Basket brand frozen juice concentrate. Your order will likely be made wrong, employees are less than friendly, they will barely listen to you and enter your order wrong, service is extremely slow (no matter what time of day - even if the place is empty) and the food is never consistent. I truly don't understand how this place is so popular. All I know is I am done wasting money here. read more

Today I went here to the new location and ordered a Hang Ten Bowl which is topped with coconut, banana, strawberries, pineapple & granola. I got my bowl back and it was topped with apples, kiwi,coconut, granola & over ripe pineapple (so firm I couldn't even eat it) I never got the strawberries & bananas ..and couldn't even find a bowl that had apples and kiwi (not that I wanted it) just confused where they came from? I wanted to like my bowl and my over all experience but I didn't. The lady taking our order was not friendly at all which set the mood. I'll add a picture for reference. As Kathleen said, this place is actually what a lot of new age hippie joints are trying to be. FOOD: Love, love, love the vegetable soup and Vegan a la Sarah Panini. I'm a vegan who rarely enjoys a good panini and this one is amazing. ATMOSPHERE: The place is small probably about 14 seats in total including outside seating. Its a nice cozy place to take a friend or a date because they have cushions that line the walls. Music is great, very low key alternative music. SERVICE: The girls that I spoke to were very friendly and It seems like they work in a great work environment which brings lots of smiles to staff members faces. Very glad to see that. Many places you'll go to where its obvious the staff is being over worked and stressed out, but everyone seems to like that they are working and they have a great energy that shows through in their service.
