First I want to say I love the aesthetic of this restaurant. The patio is beautiful and cozy and they have lights up as well so I can't wait to go there for dinner soon. I also came during lunch and the weather was a plus to our outdoor experience. Second I looked up reviews on yelp and noticed how fresh their food looked in the photos and that's what drew me towards this place. You can choose to dine outside there's a few tables spread out with umbrellas, or take the other road of dining inside with televisions and comfy tables and air-conditioning. I chose this after 7 miles of paddling on the river so you know I went with air-conditioning. Menu is pretty thorough I really wanted to have the Carne Asada, with corn tortillas, salad, and my favorite barracho bean soup. For Good measure, I also got a just side order of seafood tostada because I haven't had a good one in a long time! They are good spicy crunchy good amount of shrimp excellent. The food has always been good here - made from scratch and quite affordable. Maria has done a great job fixing up the place. Now you can sit outdoors at picnic tables under palm frond umbrellas and often a neighborhood chicken or rooster will strut by. The indoor seating is also very nice, especially when it's too hot to eat outside. The staff are always very accomodating and friendly. I also love being able to support a local small business owner instead of going to a big national chain restaurant. read more

I always get the steak soft tacos all the way. They come with a wedge of lime and salsa verde. They are delicious! I usually order a drink as well.. today it was cantaloupe but I usually get a Horchata. There are tables outside that are covered as well as some with umbrellas. Or if you want there is an indoor patio as well. The vibe is laid back with roosters in the parking lot and Mexican music playing on the speakers. I happened in this place by accident. I was heading to show my client a house when she told me she was running 30 minutes late. I decided to pull over and try this place out. WOW. I had 2 beef tostadas and they were perfection. I'm a tostada snob and these were the best I've had in MANY years (maybe the ever , period). A great tostada has to be super crunchy and this one did not disappoint. All the ingredients tasted super fresh. I'm impressed!! This spot is owned by the nicest family. They offer free samples before you order an item to ensure you will enjoy the option. This is traditional Mexican cuisine with plenty of flavor. Each day there is a different offering of fruit water that tastes delicious.The prices are great at this restaurant and they now accept credit and debit cards for your convenience. Oh my goodness! Did I just click my boots, and go to Mexico? Feels like it. I've only been to Wimauma once for a Yelp Event, The Yelptucky Derby! So I didn't remember what to expect. The closest I could think of was Dade City, FL. We saw roosters so Mocha Coconut, my dog, was in heaven. We also saw a horse trotting down the street. After parking we heard Spanish music, danced a little bit to the counter, and ordered caldo DE res (beef soup) and sopes (they call it gorditas). Best Mexican food we have found here in Florida. So amazing beyond words. 5 stars makes sense. Can I have that 6 stars that they are talking about for this place? One of the ladies working the window was so nice. She asked where I was coming from. I told her I found her on Yelp and she had 5 stars. She said she doesn't get to see that, but she felt honored, and stated others had told her the same. Such a sweet lady. I Oder the fajitas for me and my son order bistec ranchero and 2 coke in a bottle first the coke were flat and the bottles stunk so bad like mold and was on our hands.
