Mary Smith was so knowledgeable and confident. Her understanding of hair texture and coloring is phenomenal! Mary gave me several options for how to style my hair and when I decided I wanted to try for bangs, something I had not tried for 10 years, she blew me away with her skills for shaping and framing my face. Mary is also an absolute angel. I spent several hours there and we chatted easily the entire time. Often when you buy a Groupon for services you are treated differently. Not the case at Sol. Ashlee did and AMAZING job on my hair! I showed her some pictures and she did exactly what I asked for. The highlights and haircut were both super great. Ashlee is also so fun to talk to. I read someone else say it was like hanging with a friend and I totally agree! I love when you go to a hair place and you get EXACTLY what you wanted. Hair is a bitch esp when you have very damaged ends + previous bad root touch ups + random whites all mixed in to make the all-over high lighting a scary venture cos the splotching is imminent...yet ASHLEE knocked it out perfectly. I came to sol salon with a Groupon voucher for full highlights and haircut .when I was sitting already marisol told me there was an additional $25 for the toner ,that it might have been on the fine print which I checked right away and there was no fine print about $25 extra charge.I decided to do it anyway ...marisol did my hair,it looks good and considering I could have ended up bald according to marisol because all the treatments I had before it looks great ...she gave me some advices to bring my hair back to life.marisol is great,the only thing is that before coming to the salon ask if there is extra fees from the price they give when you make the appointment so you don't have surprises . read more

Ashlee has mad skills! Super happy with how my hair turned out. I came in with quite a head of hair to tackle - I'm talking unfashionably grown out roots, stubborn faded fashion dye and split ends galore. I arrived a complete mess and went home looking like my usual vibrant self again. Ashlee was so patient and made me feel very involved with the whole process, which was such a great experience. I could go on forever about what a wonderful stylist (and person!) I've been here three times now, once for my daughter, and have had a great experience every time. My daughter also loved Ashlee. This is my go to salon from now on. I purchased a groupon to get full highlights and a haircut. I called a week in advance and set up an appointment for 11am on my birthday. When I went in, they said they didn't have my name written down for the appointment. They asked me to come back at 2:30. I did, but when I came back, they had me sit there and didn't even start on my hair for another half hour. I told the stylist I had a birthday dinner at 5 and asked if we had enough time, she said yes. She then told me that it would be $80 more for a base color and toner, which was never mentioned on my Groupon. She rushed through the whole thing. She didn't leave the bleach on long enough and didn't even cut my hair. I left looking the same as when I walked in. For the amount of money I ended up spending, I could have gone to my normal salon and had it done properly. Luckily Groupon gave me my money back so I can go somewhere else. read more

First salon I've been to in ten plus years where I walked away completely happy. And by happy I mean, I didn't have to readjust my hair or put it in a pony tail for two weeks until it grew out some. These were most of my previous experiences. Left 100 percent happy and glowing. Came in with beach hair that was below my chest, ratty and knotted, with no definition or body. I left with exactly what I wanted which was texture, body, and healthy hair. I had Ashlee and she was both professional and fun. Listened to what I wanted, gave great suggestions and allowed me to veto or add in my own. I didn't feel rushed at all which was nice. The blow out literally made my hair feel like silk. Everybody in the salon was friendly....it literally felt like a home away from home. No pretentiousness at all, thank god! Hidden Gem! I have had my hair done by Ashlee twice and both times have been the best hair styles I've ever had (and I have had a lot). I like to have fashion colours and very blunt fringes which a lot of stylists are either too scared to do, or they don't 'get it' so it doesn't end well. As soon as I saw Ashlee and her mint hair I just knew it was meant to be! Ashlee is honestly the best hair stylist I have had, due to me changing my hair often it's not in the best condition but she doesn't judge like most stylist I've been to. She listens and understands what I want, She also adds suggestions but there is absolutely no pressure so you can take it or leave it. She is clearly very creative, skilled and has a great eye! Ashlee is very easy to talk to which is a necessity when spending hours with someone! I trust her 100%.
