Ashlee was super welcoming and made sure she knew what I wanted/liked every step of the way. My hair feels so much lighter; I love how she did the layers and framing around my face. The price is super reasonable as well ($25 for cut, $50 for cut and blowout). Looking for a new hair salon in the area and in need of highlights. Found a Groupon for this salon, $62 for full highlights. I called to book an appointment and they said do NOT buy the Groupon, they would honor the price. I did as they said and came in for my appointment. Sat in the chair, cape on, ponytail out, and as the woman got ready to work on my hair she said that she would be charging me $30 for toner after my highlights. WTF? I mean, this isn't my first rodeo. Not only is that unheard of, to ITEMIZE TONER, and at $30! - it's just a VERY BAD business practice to drum up business with Groupon deals and then add on the extra cost so the deal you thought you were getting no longer exists. I asked if I would need toner as I never seem to need it unless I have been over processed and she said yes, I would NEED the toner. -um, okkkkkkayyyy? If they would have said, hey we need to charge you more for extra length, or maybe we recommend this conditioning treatment would you like to add this on, I likely would have not thought twice. But the TONER? Please, give me a break. Anyway, I got the highlights, and like the other yelper review I just read, the toner made my hair DARKER. I came in for highlights and these 'highlights' not only did not 'take' to my hair (only 5 mins under the dryer will do that - again NOT my first rodeo getting highlights, I get them every few weeks!) My hair is now a shade of a muted grayish brown. My husband and his friend both made a comment on my new darker fall hair color that same day. *Notice I said comment and not compliment - it looks just plain bad. I am SO bummed I went to this place and spent over $100. NOW I have to find a place to fix this mess and spread the word on their business practice. Let me save you time and money ladies - DO. NOT. Not a fan. I found this place through a great groupon deal and looking at past Yelp reviews I felt good about making an appointment with Marisol. She's a sweet girl but when I gave her a picture of the textured long bob I wanted, she gave me more of a soccer mom bob :( When I asked her if she could give me more texture, she interpreted that as giving me large curls that ended up making me look like a show dog! With the short hair I was given, why in the world would she think it was okay to give me such full, round curls? At that point I gave up. I'm horrified that Marisol actually thought this looked good!! I couldn't even go out in public with this hair, I put a baseball cap on it and it still looked ridiculous! Normally, I would expect more from a hairstylist but it was through groupon and I can see now this style may have been out of her skill level. I left the place thinking I could come back and have someone else fix it but when I called to make an appointment with someone else, Marisol answered! I tried to come clean by telling her I really didn't like my hair but I didn't think she could fix it. She then told me I couldn't schedule an appointment with anyone else because "everyone else was on vacation." Wow. Now that's just bad business. Don't come here. read more

UNFORTUNATELY, they canceled my appointment two hours before I was to come in, and since I bought a Groupon for their place after making the appointment, I now incurred the cost of the Groupon plus the $200 I'm going to have to pay for whatever salon I hope to god I can find this last minute. Marysol, the owner is understanding. If you are not happy with the job one of her employees did she will take responsibility as an owner and offer to fix it. I went in last week to get my hair fixed by her and she was friendly and even gave me suggestions as to what she thinks I should do to fix the color and I asked her to just go over the highlights that Joceline had done and she did, she did a decent job. However, she used a toner that made my highlights DARKER than what they were the first time I ever got highlights. Now, I don't know why she did that because I had told her I was eventually going to go all blonde. I am not happy with the salons work over all. I wouldn't recommend it so anyone. Wow! I'm blown away and Blonde again. I grabbed a Groupon for highlights with Ashlee. I've never in my life purchased a Groupon for any type of hair service. I've had 2 people doing my hair for the last 16 years. They both now live in different parts of the world and are geographically undesirable. Ashlee is freaking AMAZING! I purchased their Groupon for a wash, cut, and blow-dry for $25. I was able to make an appointment on a Saturday, and was booked with Ashlee. I was greeted right away by a stylist who was with a client. I only had to wait a few minutes before Ashlee introduced herself. Everyone there was genuinely friendly. From the moment she started, I knew I was in good hands. I had read their great reviews before purchasing the Groupon, but was still nervous I'd get a discount haircut. I was very very wrong!!! Not only was Ashlee a really nice lady, she's a great cosmetologist. I hadn't had a haircut in a year, and have been losing hair on and off since my son was born. I also have fine hair. She took her time, did a really great job of layering, and trimmed those short baby hairs that are growing back. She even gave me a short lesson on how to blow dry my fine hair to get more volume. She doesn't even approach the desk just yells from the back that they'll be with me in a minute. So I sit down and wait. And wait. And wait. For over half an hour. I see one stylist walk out the door! At that point I'm like f-- it I'm done. So I went home. Hours later I get a half assed attempt at an apology via text from Mary who claims she was behind on haircuts. Well Mary, maybe you should have told me that in the half hour you ignored my existence. I understand having to wait a few minutes for an appointment, but half an hour with stylists chatting amongst themselves not doing much is ridiculous. Ashlee is AMAZING! Being brand new to the area I was nervous about finding a new colorist/stylist. Going to see her was the best decision I could have made. She gives off a confidence that immediately makes you feel comfortable. She takes her time and is very attentive to detail. She even gave me an amazing scalp MASSAGE during shampooing...I've never had that happen before :) She gave me BEAUTIFUL high and low lights and was creative enough to let some of my old highlights also shine through to create a tri-tone of colors; introducing a complex color scheme that shines. My cut was exactly how I described and overall I left feeling super happy. Oh and she is super affordable. I booked my appointment by purchasing a full highlights/haircut LivingSocial deal. I've had a blonde balayage for over a year now, so I wanted to go brown. Since my hair was light and the color I wanted was way darker, they told me I would have to pay about $80 extra for a base color if I wanted go to full brunette with light highlights. I was disappointed at myself for not doing my research as to what full highlights was vs what I wanted. Marisol was very nice and accommodating and gave me a few options to avoid that route. Overall, I just paid $10 extra and my hair looks amazing!! Mary was the hairstylist who worked on my hair and she did a great job. She made me feel very welcomed and was very sweet. BEWARE! Dont you dare buy that GROUPON! I came here for highlights a year ago, and they were average,but not bad. I came back 2 months ago with a groupon for Balyage and a haircut. Marisol the owner,did my hair. I knew immediately that it wasn't lightened enough but she said it would be fixed with toner. So I agreed, but after the toner one side of my hair was bright orange,so she added more bleach and toner. Now my hair looked like straw due to the damage, and I was still not happy. But I was so tired that I conceeded. The first time I washed my hair I was able to see that the highlights were not blended, I had a straight line across where the "balyage" began, and orange bright hair. So back I went, and she added more toner. She then asked me if I was on any medication, because she had never seen this happen to anyone's hair before. So she blamed me for her incompetence, clearly this woman did not lighten my hair enough which is why it's so brassy. And instead of fixing it or realizing her mistake she blamed me and my health for it. Shame on you! I have since had to cut my medium length hair into a short bob to try and get rid of the damage as much as possible. I will soon have to spend a few hundred dollars on color correction. I regret ever letting this woman touch my hair. read more

Very disappointing! I called to make an appointment for a full head of highlights and asked how much it would cost, was given a quote but when I came in for service there was an additional $25 for toner. Hidden fee but I let it go since I was already in the chair. Two days after I had the highlights done, my hair seemed orange. At the time of my appointment I brought a picture of what I wanted and was told that's what I would get. I didn't! I called the salon and was told I could come in to get my hair toned again. Marysol toned it for me and was extremely accommodating except that after having it toned again, now I don't see ANY highlights! I spent a lot of money and now I'm back where I started. Nice people but bad work. Won't be coming back! read more
