Visited solace outpost because a friend was performing there. Really liked the QR code system, they bring the drinks to your table. Wish I tried some of the food but next time! The back of the establishment has an arcade too!

Solace is a great place for tasty happy hour beer and food, while hanging out and playing arcade games or just chatting. The location is spacious and the staff are friendly. I visited with my husband for happy hour on a Friday afternoon and we had no trouble finding free parking in the garage just past Solace by Sweet Frog. We entered Solace and picked a table by a window. We started with the Phantasmal Cider for me and the Devil's Due black IPA for my husband. Both were exactly what we wanted. We also tried a giant pretzel because that is what goes best with beer, right?! Anyway, the pretzel was delightful. Next, we shared the Suspended Animation barleywine with its 11.2% ABV....delicious. Last but not least, we sampled the Scuttered red ale and it was also really good. We had a harvest bowl with grilled chicken and a burger with curly fries for our meal. My husband also ordered onion rings, which he said were good. All in all, it was a great evening adventure and I would definitely come back. Thanks!

Really surprised on how spacious this place is. There's an arcade section that features skeeball, two pinballs, a few arcade games. The other side features a stage for live bands to perform and a giant countertop where patreons can sit down and have a drink. I admit, I was bar hopping with a friend so we didn't really go for the food but we did get beers to try out. I think the best part is that you can order through your phone ( they have QR codes to scan ) and pay for it through there. If you are the introvert like me, this is great as you don't have to wait in the bar area if you are with a group of friends. I don't mind the convivence at all. I wasn't here for long but I think I can say I'll be checking more of this place soon!

Very good food (spicy chicken thighs) and happy hour beer prices are the best. See below This item use to be on the happy hour menu for $7. Now $11. There were many items on the HR menu but that has been cut down significantly. See pic below. Beer is the better pricing as of now.

I stopped by solace outpost when visiting northern Virginia. It was a very open space, I loved the vibes! I got the Vibrant thing pineapple mango gose and it was very crisp and tasty! The onion rings were amazing.

Recently visited on a Saturday evening with the fam bam (4 year old included). If you're in Falls Church and looking for a decent crowd, good food, and great beer then this is your place. Family friendly, though don't expect a kids menu and crayons. Parking is ample in the adjacent garage and free of charge. On a Saturday evening with the Final Four games on we had no wait for a 4-top table. Also a private party had half of the place reserved. Solid menus for both food and drink (wine is available too). Self-serve at the bar, though there was no wait. Food was out literally before I sat down with our drinks. Recommend the selection of fries, and trying all of the beers (all of the IPAs especially the Partly Cloudy and Suns Out). Cheers!

We came here right before a major storm hit and the power went out. There's a parking garage right around the corner from Solace but otherwise, there is some street parking. They have 2 screens that show beers on tap and then a QR code on one of the menus that you can access the beer. It's pretty cool because it shows you what beers are available and how much of the keg is left for tap. They did have food menus though. My friend and I ordered 2 beers each and some Beer Cheese and Bacon Fries. I wish they did flights but the beers we chose were all very good. Beers ordered: Hope of Hearts ~ I'm not generally an IPA fan but this was surprisingly light and refreshing. It was not very hoppy and I would definitely order it again. Buzz Bin - I think my favorite out of the four that we had. It was a light beer which was surprising for it being a coffee beer. Coffee was not overpowering and paired really well with the lightness of the cream Ale. Golden Sunset - A lighter beer as well and very easy to drink. Quite refreshing and great for a hot day. Trost - I really enjoyed this but it was slightly heavier than the Golden Sunset. We got the fries a little after the power went out and they were very good. Before the computer systems powered down, all the checks were printed to close out. However, instead of accepting cash for any other transactions, they decided to close which was a little disappointing but understandable. It was entertaining sitting their in the dark - I used my phone for some music hooked up to their Bluetooth speaker. I'll probably go back another time just to experience it when a blackout is not occurring.

Found this place while searching for new breweries and we figured we would give it a shot. There's little parking out front but they have a nice free garage just around the corner with plenty of spaces. They have a decent amount of tables outside but their inside space is huge. We opted for inside which wasn't so busy since outside was packed. We grabbed a few beers but our favorites were the Buzz Bin which had a nice coffee forward flavor and the Lucy Jucy which I only had a sip of but was a strong, slightly fruity double IPA. The food was pretty good, not the typical options I see at other breweries. We had the classic thighs (fried chicken thighs cut into strips), beer cheese & bacon fries, and funnel cake fries. The thighs has a nice crispy outside to them and the 4 dipping sauces is a nice touch. Gotta love options. The fries weren't bad, not super crispy but the beer cheese and bacon on top helped flavor wise. The funnel cake fries were very crispy and also had three dipping sauces. Great snack/dessert if you needed to pick something. Great spot to pick up a few beers and grab something a little different food-wise. Definitely a place where I don't have to wander around looking somewhere to sit so I plan on coming back.

A great add for our family's pizza Friday! Don't miss the funnel fries for dessert.

Are dogs allowed in the outside eating area?

I have seen people with dogs on the patio so I would assume yes

We stood out there for a few mins and then a guy opened the door saying "we're open". Hello to you too sir. It was awkward after that. The guy was not personable or welcoming. They had menus for a Mexican place that delivered, service was quick with that and food was tasty, servings big. I ordered an IPA but really didn't want to ask any questions with the guy who told us the place was open.

The environment was an open industrial space with a low-key vibe (at least at this time). A handful of regulars were posted up at the bar. They had sports on the TVs in front and on the big screen in the back. There's a stack of board games in the corner. For the couple times I've been here, the bartender has always been very informative, walking me through the beers on tap without my asking. The beer list is solid, and I had to try the Raspberry Beret imperial stout - the flavor was unique and the raspberry very notable. If you're feeling brave, ask about the Sweet Scoville Sting. Seriously spicy, so make sure you taste it before committing. Beyond beer, there's wine, ready-to-drink margaritas and cocktails, and a robust food menu so something for everyone.

Highly recommend as my husband loved his prime rib (he said it was excellent) and I had a gluten free chicken sandwich that was yum! the ambiance was lovely, and an all around great experience for a quick bite as the location is very close to INOVA. I got salmon, which was good just make sure you like a smoky taste as it has one. My husband got ribs and he said they were good too. The waitress was on point and kept checking on us refilling our drinks. It wasn't over crowded for 4th of July and I do think it is decorated beautifully. Now, couple things that are weird. I asked for to go cup for my full glass of lemonade so it wasn't wasted and we were informed they have no to go cups. However, they do to go orders, but no drinks... that's weird. 2nd, they advertise that you can get 4 of their house made beers to take home, here is the catch you can't mix match them to get different ones. We wanted to get 4 different ones to bring back to NC for a friend and could only get 4 of the same kind. Which we did, but no where does it say you can't mix match them. We were told their POS systems isn't set up to be able to do this. I do love their food, but come on get to go cups.

The biergarten has ample canopy seating with long benches and tabletops, perfect for groups! You can't make reservations. They have a strict policy of no outside food or drinks. The ambiance is very casual and there's no table service. Rather than ordering through a QR code, place your order at the bar and then you'll get a text alert when the food is ready for pick-up at the long table closest to the bar. The line is always pretty short and you can get a drink within 5-10 min, the food takes longer and even up to 1/2 hour for fries. I would stick to the beer on draft, the cocktails can be hit/miss depending on the bartender, the draft drinks tend to have better consistency. The Wildberry Mule cocktail and Pina Colada Sangria and Peach Seltzer on draft were my picks while the Bourbon Smash, Passionfruit Mojito, Pina Colada Mojito, and the Passionfruit Seltzer were misses. On the flip side, the bartenders poured a generous amount of Prosecco for Mimosas, much appreciated! The bottled Angry Orchard apple cider is generally my go-to. There's always a mocktail on the menu (came in handy when I was pregnant!) The new battered fries are so much better than last year! The menu is limited with simple bar food (bbq pulled pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, hot dog, fries, kettle chips). Wish there were more vegetarian options like charcuterie board, hummus and crackers, nachos, mac and cheese, etc. While I give credit for having a Veggie Burger on the menu, it's sad and disappointing. It has a very smoky meaty flavor (from the grill, not the patty) with lackluster toppings - the vegan cheese is disgusting. I would swap out the kettle chips and pay the upcharge for fries. The doughy pretzel sticks are quite salty and a step up from the movie theater. They are good for absorbing the alcohol! Despite these minor complaints, I love coming here with family and fries. So glad The Perch opened up, Starr Hill Biergarten is a great spot to kick back and relax with a beer or 2!
