Since I received a Dunning letter from the manufacturer to charge me for the old inverter that hasn't been returned, I tried to find another company to do the installation. They will be doing it at a cost of $399-649. Bottom line, Solar Going Up is completely unreliable and overcharges!

Thankfully my neighbors helped get them back in.. 2. I was never told what side of the roof my panels would actually be installed on. I assume they would be on the front of my house because I have a giant oak tree in the back that shades the roof through most of the day. Of course the panels were installed on the back of my house under the shaded oak tree. They told me they would trim the tree. that never happened.. 3. This one is probably the worst one of all. My panels have been on my roof almost 2 years now, the new roof mind you.. that I needed to have before they could install my panels. it leaks every time it's rains. we have contacted Solar Going Up several times they sent one person out a year ago he added caulking around some of the penetrations, but it was obviously not a fix. my roof continues to leak every time it rains And Solar Going Up has not responded and has done nothing about this. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.
