I would give a negative star if I could. We parked here thinking it was public parking but it was not. We got charged $50 which we paid prior to exiting but then realized I had lost my phone. Took us an additional 20 minutes to find it and when we put the ticket while leaving we got charged an additional $10???!!!!!!!! I had already paid the max amount. Ridiculous! My review has nothing to do with COVID so I don't feel bad giving honest feedback. This place has no signage indicating it was private parking. I thought I was parking in the city of Vail garage which is free during the summer. I was charged $50 when I left. They fool you because it looks like the official City of Vail parking garage. I plan to contest the charge. This place is so sneaky. Don't park here. If enough of us make a raucous, they will be forced to be conspicuous about the fact they are NOT City of Vail parking and they will charge accordingly! read more

What a deceptive freaking RIP OFF! The lot sign said "FULL" and showed no prices. An attendant waived us in. When we walked back in, about 2.5 hours later, every line on the sign that said "full" now showed the hourly prices. In our case, it was $40. I have to wait until their office is open on Tuesday (not open Labor Day) and give them a chance to do the right thing. If not, I'm just going to get our credit card company to issue a chargeback. The free Vail lot is just about 1/8th of a mile east of this one. BEWARE! read more

Public parking is free after 3 pm in the other 2 parking structure; and Solaris parking structure has it in big writing "Public Parking" to throw you off. If you're planning on shopping, bowling, seeing a movie, or having a meal, I HIGHLY recommend parking elsewhere. Even with a fully validated ticket, we were treated with enough disrespect to completely ruin our Christmas holiday. It all started when we pulled up to the gate with our validated ticket to leave. After inserting the ticket, the machine still showed a $30 balance. Naturally, we pressed the "help" button since our ticket had already been validated. After being hung up on multiple times, the woman on the other end of the phone said, "it says what it says and I can't do anything about it." Really? We ended up going back into Cine Bistro (who validated our ticket) and the same woman was rude to their MANAGER....even after he confirmed we were there to see a movie. After 30 MINUTES, someone finally let us out. I don't know why this simple issue had to be such a big problem. Ultimately, if you want to be treated with respect, park elsewhere. read more

Another minus 5 star review! This garage is impossibly frustrating. I was 6 minutes over the "10 minutes free" allowance - because I couldn't get out! I sat in the car for 15 minutes waiting for the exit backup of cars to clear. Apparently, the exit toll machine was eating credit cards. Their computer problem cost me $10 and great frustration, but at least I got my card back. NEVER again, Solaris! read more

Just echoing what everyone else says is true. Advertised as "Public Parking" and rates are not posted anywhere that we could find. We were totally shocked when we were leaving the garage that we couldn't get out without paying $50 for 2.5 hours on a slow summer day. Didn't realize I was pulling into ridiculously expensive parking lot right next to free public parking. Their sign is very misleading and it's easy to mistake this for the free parking. Rates are posted at the gate, so very hard to back up at that point. $20 for 1/2 hour, $30 for an hour, up to $60 overnight. Felt like robbery. Don't park here!!!! read more

A sign on the street advertises free day parking, $25 for overnight. When you follow the parking signs into this garage, you will be extorted by the gate before it lets you leave. We were charged $40 to get out when parking is advertised as free from the street. I hope everyone that gets ripped off by this bait and switch charged their credit cards back. We were parking during the farmers market on 8/5 and there was a lot of traffic to leave the garage. We paid downstairs before getting into our car and then left immediately. Due to traffic when we got to the exit they charged an additional $10. We told the attendant that we already paid and that because of traffic could not exit in time. He was a complete jerk and hole laughed and said, "you have to pay again, not my problem" and walked away. read more

Reviews are correct, and the town of Vail should take some responsibility for allowing signage that indicates a parking facility, and allowing the garage to have the words PUBLIC PARKING in 3 foot high letters on the wall as you enter. Don't park here. It is a huge ripoff. The public parking garage is literally right next door, and even closer to the ski lifts if that is your destination. Plus the public parking is free in the summer, and after 3pm in the winter. I'd rather walk from West Vail than give the Solaris any of my money to park. read more

Such a beautiful residential development...shame on them for presenting a parking place to eager tourists in a tricky , low, scam like manner. We are ready to pay for the pleasures of touring,wherever. This place places its sign in such a manner that this visitor believed that it was free to the public! Upon entering there is a sign that tells of the first ten minutes,free..,.,after those minutes the price escalates rapidly,by 10's....how cute...how low! We ,also,were charged with $ 30 for a very short stay...we were pleased to spend on food,drinks,gifts and the like. Never were we left with such an unwelcoming feeling..Cali,Seattle ,Vancouver,New York, etc.have always made us at home...NOT this high priced, low class parking enterprise...really, they should simply not offer to the general public.
