This spa is wonderful. Not the most peaceful I've seen, but still nice atmosphere... Plus their Avedo tea is amazing. The prices are about average for spa services, and we were even lucky enough to find a groupon! The employees were excellent, very attentive and eager to please, almost to a fault. I wish they hadn't given me the hard sell to buy their products the whole time though, it really took away from the experience as I felt I was making purchasing decisions the whole time. I love Sasha! She took me from at home box black and pink to a gorgeous caramel blond. She took her time and got my hair to look fabulous! Sasha recommended great Aveda products to help my hair with the damage and breakage issues (self induced, mind you). She was super informative and told me each step that we were doing to my hair and what the possible outcomes with the pink. She was very kind and professional. Scheduled a Sat. morning 1/2 hr upper back massage. I told the girl on the phone I had never been to their location before, she was very friendly and they had a lot of openings for appointments. I arrived 5 min. early, masseuse 10 min. late...and it was a man. I feel like they should've asked if I'd prefer a man or woman when they scheduled me. May not bother others but it was an unexpected surprise to me. I've had the same targeted massage @ 2 different spas prior. The first thing he mentioned to me was a breast/pectoral massage which I have never ever been told of before. I'm not saying it's not a legit technique, but for that to be mentioned to a first time client, thought that was unusual and I quickly declined. I went for upper back, not chest. I get that everything's connected, but really? Asking a first time client about the option to expose her breasts for massage? Little strange. Targeted upper back massage was great but not knowing it was going to be a man, and his mention of a breast/pectoral massage just turned me off entirely to return. read more

I really enjoy the atmosphere at the salon/spa. I have had great facials and massages. I've gone in for a few blow outs that were ok but not great. I do love that they carry a wide line of average products. The salon also offers frequent deals and sale. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I was home on leave and needed to get my hair relaxed - my usual salon of 12 years closed down. This place had good reviews and pricing seemed decent so I gave it try for a relaxer. First off I got there and it was explained to me that it's not reeeeally a traditional relaxer but it would straighten my hair or a bit. I'm thinking okay? I only have so much time in the US so let's do it. Everything looks good, I go to pay and he price was over $100.00 more than what's listed on the website. I asked WTF! They explain that hose are starting prices, mind you it DID NOT state that on the website not they did they tell me this prior to the appt to verify. Then for weeks after and now months my hair has been falling out and I have had severe breakage in multiple spots on my head where my hair has broken down to shorter than an inch in length. I am seasoned at taking care of chemically treated hair, I have never had this issue. I have handfuls of hair coming out every wash/brush. It's terrible. I do NOT recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I saw that this salon had a dry bar so I decided to make an appointment to have my hair washed and dried into curls for my maternity shoot. My appointment was with Michelle. When I got there she took me right away and we talked about what I wanted and she said ok and took me to wash my hair. When she has blown out a strand of my hair Louisa came by asking if she can help. They whispered something and Michelle left to finish a color treatment on another client. Louisa blew my hair out however never asked me what I wanted. Michelle seemed more concerned about her coloring and told Louisa volume and curls. When Louisa was done she had given me a bouncy blow dry. While nice, it was not what I had spoken to Michelle about. Louisa then told Michelle you better curl her hair so Louisa finished off Michelle's other client. Now another stylist came over to help Michelle curl my hair. When they were both done there was tons of pieces of my hair that weren't even curled. Michelle told me that I needed to come in and get layers done so the curls would fall better. I told her that I've had layers and I do not want them. Besides I came in for curls and not a hair cut. When I checked out I was extremely unhappy with how my hair came out. I told them I would need to go home and fix my own curls. They offered to fix it but I had to be someplace else in 20 minutes and couldn't stay. Besides the fact that it took an 1 and half to do half a$$ terrible curls. I almost booked a makeup application session and so glad I skipped that. They apparently don't know what a dry bar is and shouldn't be offering those services. Please go to Boston's dry bar so you know what a real dry bar offers. Too bad I don't live in Boston and it was too much of a drive for me (esp. being 7 months pregnant)! read more

This was my second appointment at the salon- both of my hair appts. were with Sasha . She was fantastic and asked me questions about what I was looking for with my color and style. It is the first time a stylist has ever really listened to what I was saying. I would highly recommend her and would return to see her again. With that said , I gave the salon 2 stars because the customer service is terrible - the associate behind the desk was rude and gave me an attitude when I didn't want to purchase any of the products that were recommended. I asked her for my stylist's last name so that I could write it on the check I was filling out for Sasha's gratuity , and she said " I don't know her last name - she can write it on the check herself..." I kindly informed her that Sasha was back at her station and asked her to please find out Sasha's last name for me . The associate seemed perturbed with me for asking this and again , gave me an attitude. I wasn't pleased with being treated like this after spending quite a bit on my service . Also , when I arrived for my appointment - ON TIME - no one was behind the desk and I had to wait quite a while to be greeted. All in all - poor customer service ! I am not happy with that - at the very least treat the customers with respect and treat them as you would your friend or family.... Unfortunately , I feel as if I don't want to return because of the vibe and customer service . I would however , highly recommend Sasha as a hairstylist . However, it was the worst facial I have ever had and the only reason I went was for the 15% off email I received and when I got home I realized I was charged full price. I have been seeing a stylist there, Sasha. She is full of great advice and foes s good job. What I am giving 1 star for is the owner, Louisa. I have extensions in my hair from 2 months ago. I was told it would be $200 to get them moved up when your hair grows out. I get to the register I was charged $45 for a minimal trim of my ends and bangs, plus $300 to do the extensions. I questioned this and Louisa called the manager who said the price went up and it's out of her control. I told the owner that I think she should honor the $200 quote. At least until the next time or when I have to get new ones. The owner passed this off to her manager who agreed with me that Louisa should have honored the original quote. Last time I checked.., the owner trumps a managers decision... So why couldn't Louisa make a decision then? Well... I did to NEVER return to a sneaky salon who I now lost respect for an owner that acts like this. I will not give my money to them EVER AGAIN! read more

Very poor experience, my stylist was 1/2 late. The receptionist did not say anything to me at all, my stylist just wanted to sell me something , barley talked to me at all. I didn't feel as if my hair stylist listened to anything I said to her. And they did not book my appointment long enough. After she messed up my color the first time, they had to re do it while she was styling and cutting several other people's hair. I do feel as if I have been over charged (170 dollars!!?&@) and I did not even get the hair cut I asked for. She barely did anything with the cutting. I can't tell if I'm more upset with myself for leaving and letting them rob me of that much money, or if I'm more upset with this business for allowing something like that to happen. read more

I have been to the salon side numerous times, one being on my wedding day for hair and makeup and they did an amazing job! Everyone was super nice, accomondating and fun. So when a friend and I booked our pedicures I expected the same feeling.....I was wrong......I get that some people might like the bucket and pitcher theme, but it was not my cup of tea...I like a some jets and comfy massage chairs. The lady who did my nails was very nice and did an ok job (not worth the money). I was a little uncomfortable holding my leg in one position while the lady did my nails, not to mention sitting in a worn wicker chair. Worst of all my friends nails came out unbelievably bad! Its laughable that she even got charged for such a horrendous job! And for her pedicurist to not notice such a botched job is unacceptable. I was not relaxed, pampered or comfortable. My experience was great even before I walked into the salon. I got a text to confirm my appointment which I think is awesome so I don't have to call back to confirm. Also, the day of my appointment I got another text reminding me about it which I could automatically put it into my phone's calendar. I absolutely loved the salon once I walked in. I have been coming to Soleil for years and plan on continuing to do so! I go to Soleil for hair appointments and although the owner, Luisa, is not my hairdresser, she knows me by name and is always friendly and attentive to make sure I am comfortable. Luisa has built a relaxing and organic retreat for her clients. The ambiance feels very comforting and natural. No matter how small the service you leave with the feeling of having been at a spa retreat. Kudos, also, to Emily for always giving me great color and cuts! Soleil prepped my groom, bridesmaids, mom and me for my wedding, and they were terrific! Emily helped me fix a terrible dye job mere days before the wedding, and then gave me a terrific style that lasted well past midnight on the big day, and Lisa Marie did a beautiful job with makeup! After dying my hair black for 7 years I decided it was a time for a change. I've never had a positive experience at a salon before until I came here. I met with Sasha and we discussed my options to do a blonde balayage. She made me feel much better and more comfortable with doing such a dramatic change. She explained that it would be a multi step process but she would be happy to do this for me. After a 4 hour appointment my black hair was gone and I was on my way to blonde. After this first appointment I had a few more appointments to lighten my hair. Every time I went into the salon I've had nothing but great experiences. Sasha really knows what she's doing and she is so creative! I 100% trust her recommendations. I am so happy I decided to go for a dramatic change and my hair is exactly how I wanted it, thanks to Sasha. Since I had such a great experience I decided to get a facial. I have gotten a few facials from Margarita. She is great! She is very knowledgeable and gives great recommendations for your skin type. I've been to see Michelle twice so far, and she is my girl that knows how to work with my curls! Worth the money - they work so hard to make sure that their clients are happy. Offered coffee or tea, water - I've even had wine there, which is amazing on a rough day! I love to have a stylist that talks to me in depth and remembers things I've said at previous appointments, which shows how much they care about their clients and Michelle does exactly that. I would recommend her to anyone, as she seems very knowledgeable and will comfortably tell me when a style won't work my hair, or face shape. Shelly washed my hair at my last appointment and she was great as well, very accommodating and almost sensed when people needed help or assistance, because she was right there when it was needed. Shelly also gave a wonderful head/temple massage while washing my hair! Also the online booking is super convenient - please don't get rid of that! Great job! read more
