I have gone to Solis for years and only go for Dr. Gentry who is an exceptional doc. I give her a 5. The Solis staff and company itself is awful and they deserve zero stars. They are not healers and can not understand when issues arise that are out of a humans understanding. As a provider myself the compassion you show others when going through rough times is part of the experience. Learn to be more flexible with your patients. This was my 3rd time being disappointed and left saddened and crying. Don't waste time here unless you want to be treated like a non human being. read more

Sadly Solis has transitioned from a motto of "we care" to "we profit". Over the years, I had 3 scans all done by the same radiologist at one of Solis original locations, now consolidated to here (most likely to reduce overhead). This is incredibly important for those who have "fibrous" breasts, which is a lot of us gals! As a medical practitioner I know that a radiologist can quickly see patterns year after year and understand it's nothing more than your genetics with no need for false positives or additional testing which costs you money, time and even-in some cases-increased radiation. With the consolidation my radiologist is gone from Solis, YET I informed the technician about my "fibrous breast" situation (this scan was done in winter 2019). Strangely, there was one person running the entire office and just 2 technicians on staff (this was strange but it was evening) and the technician hurriedly moved my appointment up and rushed me through the scans. She sort of gave me that balked look when I said I had to use the restroom because I was delaying her schedule. So these were already not very "we care" attitudes. NEXT, yup you guessed it...they never called but sent me follow-up emails and physical mails saying come back in so we can do additional tests. Two emails and a phone call never got me an email or a call from a radiologist who I could simply ask "Is this because I have fibrous breasts?-can you please look at previous years-all 3-D?". That's because another office visit and more testing is quite lucrative to Solis both out of your pocket and from my insurance. My hasty technician called and just kept repeating "you have to come in, you have to come in". Even when I said that would be a 4 hr round trip drive to ask this very simple question. What could have taken my radiologist just a few minutes of their day to "care" was not even anything they would consider at this new big money fast medicine corporation. I think the initial mission and work of Solis until 2017 was "we care"-it's apparent they have been sold, re-organized and driven by referrals as profit drivers (looking at their new website). Of course I never went back and my primary physician and I just opted for me to get another scan this year-and GUESS WHAT LADIES-just fibrous breasts. HMMMMMMMMMMM read more

This is my second time getting my annual diagnostic ultrasound at Solis. My breast surgeon referred me to Solis, stating they were the best in the valley. For my 2019 exam, it was the last appointment of the day on a Friday. When I arrived, I was told they were not in-network for my insurance - which I gave them when I schedule the appointment weeks prior. I decided to proceed with the procedure. After the tech did the ultrasound, she went to get the Radiologist to review and give me the results. After waiting almost 30 minutes, half naked, she came back to say the Dr. had gone home for the weekend and couldn't be reached. This year, my appointment was 8:30 a.m. The Radiologist indicated I had an enlarged lymph node and would need to be rechecked in a month. Upon check out, I was given biopsy paperwork for my next appointment. When I stated I didn't need that, as I wasn't having a biopsy, the scheduler informed me, that I was, and that is what the order was for. Two weeks later, Solis calls me to see if I could come in early for my biopsy. When I asked why, and whether I really needed to wait the 4 weeks the Dr. said, the record was checked and it turns out I was scheduled for a biopsy in error - only need a repeat ultrasound. I spent two weeks freaking out that my cancer was back and now in my lymph nodes. Shortly after hanging up, I received an email to confirm my 'new' appointment time. Without even consulting me as to when it would be convenient to come in for that appointment, they cancelled my 4:30 time slot for the wrongly scheduled biopsy to an 8:30 in the morning the slot, which I could not make. Trying to re-schedule it has been a nightmare. I am now in the process of transferring all my records to a new, and hopefully competent, provider. I would NOT recommend Solis Mammography to any woman needing diagnostic testing. read more

I have gone to Solis for two years now (both Camelback & Tatum locations). The care that I received has been exceptional. It is scary to have abnormal screens, and the providers and staff were incredibly kind and thorough every step of the way. The ultrasound tech at my recent biopsy was so kind and thoughtful, and put me at ease immediately. The Dr called me right away with my results just as he promised. I feel confident that I'm receiving exceptional care at Solis and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had my yearly mammogram screening last week, and got a call back asking me to come in for an additional diagnostic 3D mammogram and bilateral ultrasound as the previous photos weren't clear enough (I have dense breasts). Long story short, my insurance company told me that because I haven't met my yearly deductible, the entire procedure after discounting their fees, would cost me upwards of $450 out of pocket. So I cancelled next week's appointment. I'm pretty irritated because if they had only taken better photos last week, I wouldn't have needed to come back. And because of their ineptitude, I'm having to pay for the additional tests. I went through this a few years ago at Ben-Ora, but I wasn't charged for the additional testing. Over all this is an awkward situation for anyone to be in. The people who work here and the people visiting for mammograms. For the most part Solis makes the process easy! Thank you for that :) Two points of contention - Solis wrote me a letter to let me know I could come in for my yearly mammogram and I didn't need a referral from my doctor. No, that is not correct. My primary care physician (one of MANY in a group of physicians) will not approve a screening until she sees me first. The reason, if one of their patients ends up with "concerns" the doctor's group does not want to be left with any debt incurred by such a discovery. Does this make sense? Not to me either but I get the referral and off I go. The front desk folks are kind, very nice and accommodating and so is the radiologist! Not everyone is though so here is my suggestion for the rest of the staff. Please look at me and tell me your name. I'm getting ready to put my bosoms in a vice grip and expose them to radiation. First of all, they confirmed my appointment after my appointment time. Immediately upon arrival, coming out of the hot Phoenix summer air, they took my temp and said it was too high -- 98.8. I had taken my temp before arriving and it was 97.2. They said they would take it again because it was hot outside. Then it was 98.6, which is normal. They said that wasn't good enough. They had to wait a few minutes and take it again. Then it was 97.8. They thoroughly angered me. I don't know why they don't wait 5 minutes to begin with. You are not allowed to enter the office area until your temp is taken and you are cleared. Never once did they apologize. I've been coming here for at least 20 years. I'm going to rethink where I'll go next year. read more

The biggest mistake Solis made was when they noticed a spot on my mammogram and then didn't inform me about it. I later felt the lump, which turned out to be cancerous, and only then did I discover that the lump had been noticed by Solis 9 months earlier. I advise everyone to get copies of all your records and look at the images yourself. read more

First the address on here is wrong, it is 1313 E. Osborn Road. This is a very good facility. I have been here several times over the years. This year when i went. I had a Mammogram and was diagnosed with 2 lumps. So i was given a sonogram on the same day and saw a DR. The results were immediately sent to both my family Dr. and my Woman's health Dr. Everything was explained to me in great detail and i was invited to ask as many questions as i needed to. I was very happy with the care. They scheduled me for a Biopsy. When i came in for that, i waited for 1and a half hours to be seen. But, when i finally was the Nurse and Dr. were absolutely wonderful. They both explained everything in great detail. Which was very comforting. Go for your mammogram every year and when you do this is a great place to go. read more

I have been going to Solis for many years and have always been satisfied. However, customer service does not seem to be as good as it has been in the past . A few weeks ago I showed up for my appointment (took time off from work) only to find the office closed. When I called they stated there was an equipment issue and that I needed to reschedule. They called my home so I did not get the message; stated they had no cell phone on file so I left one at that time. I rescheduled. Showed up for the new appointment (time off from work, again) to find out my appointment had been cancelled as the radiologist was not available. The claimed to have called my home as well as my cell and stated messages were left. I received no messages at all (and double checked to make sure phones were working and able to accept messages). So again, time wasted which seemed to be of little to no concern to anyone that I spoke to. Said I needed to reschedule..as if! I am moving on over to a competitor that offers the same services and hopefully has better customer service. read more

Went in for annual mammo & ultrasound on March 1st. Appt was at 10:30, arrived on time and was taken back to change at about 10:40. I wasn't called in for the mammo until an hour later, and then it took another 40 minutes before I was taken back for the ultrasound. When I mentioned this and complained about the time I had to take off work for this I was offered a $5 starbucks card for my wait. I detest starbucks, and if I remember correctly $5 isn't even going to get you a coffee there. So after 2 hours, I'm on my way out and have to make an appointment for 6 month follow up. I stop at the front desk and ask if I can make an appointment for 6 month follow up. Front desk lady says that she can help me make my appointment. I state that it needs to be in 6 months and start to take out the paperwork the doctor gave me. She looks at me and asks if I want to call in and make the appointment - after I asked to make it now. I gathered up my stuff and walked out after stating that I would call, since she didn't want to help me. I have NEVER had to wait 2 hours for this. I am seriously disappointed in the wait time and the fact that no one seemed to be able to help or rectify the situation. read more

Went in for my annual mammogram. When I realized I was running about 10 minutes late, I called in to see if I needed to reschedule. Nice lady on phone said no, so long as I arrived within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Got there within 15 minute window and apologized to reception desk clerk. Within minutes all signed in and updated my records on I-Pad. Then I sat for the next 45 minutes! One by one the waiting area cleared out and new ladies came in---but I didn't get called. When I went up to registration lady, I asked if there was a problem. She reminded me I was late and said she had to get me back in line. I told her but everyone has left that was here and even those that came after are gone too. I told her I needed to get going for work. She said that was fine and said she'll just cancel my paperwork. Without a care in the world or an apology for my long wait (now more than 4x the amount of time I was late), she said it was ok if I wanted to go elsewhere to get the mammogram. Felt like my 10 minute tardiness resulted in a lengthy or purposeful delay in getting tested at the hands of the front desk girl with the maroon/purple hair! I would have been happy to reschedule when I called in, if I only knew this is how I would be treated. NO MORE! Send my records to Mayo, where they appreciate your business and know how to treat people NICE! read more

I went into the building originally to determine why my blind friend had difficulty with her appointment. I verified the long walk that was necessary to reach the Solis suite from handicap parking. My exam was fine...professional and competent. Her experience with the exam was otherwise. Young techs didn't know how to deal with a disabled person... No such problems previously. A+ visit on Wednesday this week. Went in for a 3D mammogram and it was a great experience. Yes, a mammogram! I honestly can't remember the last time I had a doctors visit where the staff was so friendly and helpful from start to finish. Almost no wait time, nice clean facility, and everything went smoothly. Note: I usually have my mammograms done via mobile mammogram at my workplace for convenience, but missed it so had to schedule elsewhere. I'm glad I did as 3D is the way to go. (The aren't as painful) read more

I have been to a lot of radiology/imaging centers for sonograms and mammograms and this place is the best. Unlike other places I have been, I didn't see a tech, I saw a radiologist, so I didn't have to wait for the radiologist to review the images and then go back for more shots/views if the radiologist wasn't happy with the images the tech captured. The staff are very professional. And because this is a women's care center, there are only women being seen in the back and you don't have to worry about men (patients or accompanying patients) walking around goggling you while you're bra-less in your "gown." read more

A great experience every time! The easiest entrance to the parking lot is from Highland just east of 16th Street...on the North side of Highland. The building is under remodel now and looks a bit rough but signage to Solis is good. Their facility is lovely and clean. I met Lisa at reception who is friendly and efficient. The changing room is peaceful and there are cute lockers with names of prominent women on them and secure with a key if you want to stash you clothing there. Securing my appointment on line was a breeze but you may also phone in for an appointment but you won't be speaking with someone in PHX. My Technician was excellent and unfortunately I have spaced her name. She helped make me comfortable. BONUS: This Solis location offers evening appointment...maybe only Wed. AND they have Saturday appointments. They no longer offer the exams I always bundled with my mammogram. Focusing solely now on boobs! read more

If you need mammograms, ultra sounds, etc. this is the place to go. I've been coming for nine years and have always been treated amazingly. They hire great people at the front desk and the techs for your Mamogram's are the most compassionate. The doctors explain everything in detail and with compassion and detail also. I have never felt like a question was stupid or dismissed. read more

For a place that is supposed to cater to women I found them very insensitive. Due to family history the annual mammogram day is stressful for me. In addition, I have had thyroid cancer and a near miss with colon cancer so my annual sonogram for thyroid screening also creates some apprehension. Finally throw on the fact that I am rather introverted and just not Chatty Cathy. The mammogram was ok and the sonogram was nothing special but apparently the ultrasound technician decided to write rude and impolite things on my record about me on the record which was then transcribed so that I saw her calling me names when I got my copy - wow. I have had a lot of testing done with my history but NEVER have I seen anything remotely like this ever done. I also work in healthcare so I was shocked. Clue in people-not everyone is comfortable in these situations. Professionals make them comfortable rather than call them names in reports. I will not be back as I am sure there are facilities in the valley that will treat me professionally and respectfully. read more
