Came here for the cinnamon buns as this place was on my list for YEARS! I was surprised to see the variety they had there. I went for the cinnamon bun with cream cheese on the side and a mini lemon pound cake. I was quite disappointed with the cinnamon bun. It was hard and quite thin compared to the ones I've had at other places. It was too sticky and chewy for my taste and I don't think the cream cheese elevated it, other than adding extra moisture. The only item that saved my review from going lower is the mini lemon pound cake. I thought it was well made and really cute! The lemon icing is so good and compliments and pound cake well. Not too sweet! I want to give the bagels a try one day and see if it can help boost my review.

A good place for a quick brunch! They are never stingy with their cream cheese and their bakery goods are quite unique. However, their latkas were soggy and didn't have the same crispy-ness they use to have before. Their cheese melt made the bagel a little soggy.

One of the best bagels in town. Definitely best Babkas. Their salmon egg breakfast bagel is da bomb. I would eat here everyday if I could. The 7th ave location is big. The one on main is tiny and rude staff. I would love to try every single item on their menu.

This review reflects a first and one time experience. I was surprised to read so many reviews stating unprofessional/abusive behaviour of the owner toward staff. I didn't see or experience any of that. On the contrary the staff behind the counter were all calm, collected and attending to their work and when the owner did come out she seemed chill and friendly. I'm not saying that's the way it always is, but I didn't experience any unprofessional demeanor from the owner. The Lox Bagel was fresh, well put together and tasty. I also love the amount of Israeli items they have that are imported. I was looking for a kosher deli and finally I found one in Vancouver. Their lunch items are plenty and so are their breakfast items. definitely going back to try their other items on the menu!

Nice atmosphere, coffee is good and the cinnamon rolls are great. Fantastic place to warm up and catch up on your reading

Worst customer service ever! A cappuccino took nearly 25mins from order to pick up. Extremely slow workers! Look at the sign, that wasn't the line up for ordering food, ppl stand there for nothing. So confused!

They've been around since 1990 and are known for their Montreal-style bagels and smoked meat, with bagels baked in a traditional flame oven using fresh ingredients. We arrived late in the day, near closing so by the time we got there, they had already sold out of a few bagel varieties. You can keep it simple and order bagels and flavored cream cheeses, or go for deli items and full sandwiches featuring Montreal smoked meat. I went with the regular Montreal smoked meat sandwich. It didn't take long to prepare, and we took our food over to the market's dining area. The portion was generous and came with a pickle on the side. The bagel itself tasted fairly standard to me--though to be fair, it was the end of the day--but the smoked meat was the real highlight: moist, tender, and full of flavor. That's the part I kept going back to bite after bite. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. It's an easy, satisfying market meal and a great way to try a bit of Montreal-style deli culture in Vancouver. Next time, I'd definitely go earlier in the day for the full selection.

Came in the afternoon. There was so line whatsoever, no one before or after me. Looked like they had some online orders. The lady who took my order was impatient when I was ordering and kept rolled her eyes when I asked if there was anything else I should try. So I only ended up ordering the one popular bagel I see everyone get. Pick up was awkward, they didn't call out a number or wave me over. They just left it on the counter till I asked. I stood near them the whole time so I would've miss my order. Overall, wouldn't come back bc of that experience but also the bagel was okay. Either way it's probably worth a try if you're in this market place anyways.

This is a Japanese bagel spot that has a variety of interesting bagels - they're more like pastries than anything. I got the matcha mochi bagel which has red bean inside, and every bite as delicious. It's fortunately served warm when you buy it, though I went at 9am so it was fairly early in their opening hours so I am not sure how it fares later on. I wished I got a savory one for comparison and to try more options but I had to save room for future meals.

I had never heard of Japanese flavors in bagels so I was super intrigued. The location is a little tucked away but I followed the directions of other Yelpers and found the spot no problem! They have a small counter on the basement floor of a business building. There's lots of couches and tables so you could dine in if you want to! I had a very hard time choosing which flavors to get because they seriously all sounded good, but I went with: honey butter, red bean & cream cheese, and kinako chocolate. They were all really delicious but kinako chocolate was a stand out for me! Second favorite was the red bean & cream cheese for sure. I really wish that I had asked them to heat it up for us but I was worried that it'd get hard by the time we got back to the hotel. My only regret is that I couldn't finish all 3 bagels in one sitting and that I didn't stay longer to try out all the other flavors!

Parking here totally sucks, so take the bus like a hippie. I must admit the bagel selection is pretty good here. There are both sweet and savoury varieties. The bagels seem reasonably fresh, and the flavours are pretty good. I had a shrimp salad on a jalapeno bun, and it was quite good. The bagel was pretty crunchy, and the filling was somewhat fresh. I also had their blueberry bagel with pineapple filling. This one was like eating a cake. Yum! Staff (2 Korean ladies) are very friendly. The only thing that gets me is the price. $4 for a bagel really isn't cheap. Thank goodness for those entertainment coupons.

Well, let me say first of all, that I would probably never come back, but certainly not without a coupon! Their sandwiches are ridiculously over-priced. They must slice their cheese with a razor blade, because you can practically see through it. I paid $7.11 for a ham & cheese bagel - and I found out they charge $.40 extra for a cheese bagel. They also do not let you use the coupon for salmon (lox) or the 'club' sandwiches. I asked for my bagel NOT toasted, but after eating my sandwich, I'm thinking I should've had it toasted because the bagel is not fresh. It's hard and way too chewy. I love bagels, and this is one of the worst I've had, especially considering that it's coming from a bagel shop. I can go to Subway for a FOOTLONG ham & cheese sandwich with all the fixings ($6.71) for less than what you pay for a little bagel sandwich. And Subway doesn't charge extra for their cheese bread.
