I wasn't ready for this commitment and emailed the staff quickly after signing. They explained that I did sign and that's that, although they could cancel the payments for a $100 cancellation fee! That didn't make any sense to me. I was genuine and just wanted to cancel, happy to pay full price for what I had taken. They just wanted my money. The woman I spoke with, very kindly, explained she had mentioned this after the intro class and made sure everyone heard. I admit she probably did! And I must admit there is a lot happening during and after class. My attention at the time was focused on moving through the room to collect my things and leave for the day. My attention was not on her at the time. I decided they can keep my money since I guess they need it more than I do, and I stuck with the classes. With that being said, in the same vein of that disappointing experience, I must say these are FANTASTIC CLASSES and why I've rated 5 star! The women are knowledgeable with their adjustments and assisting the movements, their queuing is specific, the classes are always tough and great for toning/muscle building. The facility is clean and set up nicely. The front desk staff are sometimes instructors too, and like what they do. Another weird money issue I had with them is midway through my few months contract, I had to freeze my account and sent an email to staff. They got back to me quickly, which was helpful, saying that'd be fine and there's a $15 fee for that. I understood, yet it is frustrating as a person who's already paying a good sum of $ for their classes. I know it's corporate to do things like this - have contracts, charge fees, and have lots of disclosures. And I know Pure Barre isn't the only one doing this, it's just discouraging that in order for me to get a good work out it's SO expensive! Overall, my experience with Pure Barre is a toss up. I'd go to another class bc the classes are great as well as the instructors, yet the nuances of payment didn't work for me.

So far I've gotten numerous harassing calls, unending emails and nasty people on the phone when I explain that I didnt come back for any of the 4 classes which by the way cost about $100.00 The bills that they send me for $178.00 do not stop and I have no idea what it is for. When I call I get no answers and they tell me I owe the money. Money for what? This is a cute local yoga center. It is clearly visited by regulars and locals. It is an easy…read moredrop in studio. The people seem nice. However I visited two times. I can't review the actual instruction quality because to be fair, each experience is personal and it is really a reflection of your own ability to participate and your expectations. But I have to say as a small older building my first time was in the summer and the air conditioner was turned on or up at the beginning of the session not leaving enough time to acclimate the room before we started and there was a gym odor in the warm room most of the time during the class so I felt as if it was not particularly conducive to a calming yoga experience where sound and smell are an important part. My second visit in the fall the room was cool and comfortable but it was a more intense combo class so attendees did work up a sweat and the room became humid and again, it was not a pleasant environment. Maybe they should have turned on a fan to stir the air. This is my pet peeve that gyms or exercise facilities should smell as though it is cleaned regularly which includes washing the equipment regularly and wiping down surfaces used by customers. I do bring my own matt and blocks and bands where I can rather than complain but weights are needed in some of their classes and you have no choice to use them. All in all, they have been there for quite some time because they are convenient and familiar and I might return for those reasons. Last word, the instructors were nice and supportive.

They have a ton of retail space filled with Pure Barre, Spiritual Gangster, Lululemon, Beyond Yoga, and more. There is even a cute changing room! As far as workout studio, all their equipment is new and in great condition. The studio is long and equipped with mirrors and a good speaker system. I highly suggest supporting them as local owners and for a seat kicking workout!
