Tagliatelle Rustica.. my favorite entrée on the menu.

This is a great place. Located in downtown Freehold. Fantastic Italian cuisine. Everything is good. Ive eaten here many times over the years, I've never gotten a bad meal. Service is excellent. The wait staff is always attentive to your questions and needs. Parking can be a challenge at times as with any restaurant in the downtown area. Definitely try to get a reservation especially on the weekend. Otherwise Giorgio the owner is usually there and he will try to get you in if he can, but make the reservation if you can. It's not a huge restaurant and it gets packed in there. Very popular and for a good reason. Prices are midrange. BYOB. If you forget, there is a liquor store across the street that has some good options. I've also gotten catering from here and it is just as good as eating in the restaurant. Can't go wrong with this place.

We made reservations for dinner and we're seated on the back room. Not too great for ambiance but the service was prompt. We started with the eggplant meatballs, which had a weird after taste. The bread was decent, nothing to write home about. Our seafood fra diavolo was heavy on the seafood, they didn't skimp out. The cacio e pepe was horrible. Just by looking at my photo you can tell it wasn't cacio e pepe. A salty sloppy mess, I couldn't even finish it.

I'd been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurants ambiance was great for a nice night out with my girlfriend. The service was very good-- our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The bread was enjoyable. For an appetizer we got Carpaccio Di Manzo. It wasn't what we were expecting but the flavors came together very nicely and we both ended up really enjoying it. We both got Farfalle all' Ammiano for our entrees. This consisted of "bowties, shrimp, scallops, and seafood in a secret family sauce". The "seafood and secret family sauce" part incorporated salmon into the dish. We both found it very tasty. Overall I really enjoyed my dining experience. I'd especially recommend it for a special night out with your significant other. I plan to dine here again soon!

Really had a very pleasant meal here in downtown freehold! Nicely spread out tables during the coronavirus outbreak. Very very happy to stumble upon this place in downtown freehold. I was planning to eat at a different popular restaurant when I noticed that the outdoor dining was not spaced appropriately at that other restaurant. As a matter of fact many of the restaurants in downtown freehold did not observe the proper social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak. Fortunately I stumbled across this place where the outdoor tables were spread out extremely well and separated from other tables. Just so glad to dine here, starting with the bread basket, excellent! I knew right away we made the right choice stopping here. Terrific service and terrific atmosphere even for outdoors. My dinner was seafood over pasta and I remember loving it. They really did a great job here with a generous portion but cooked to the quality you would hope for fine dining. Another entrée we ordered was pasta with Bolognese sauce including meat and sausage. This was excellent! We split the different entrées and this was so delightful! The last entrée was a pear and gorgonzola cheese ravioli with a nice rich cream sauce. Heaven! Very rich and creamy but delicious and what we were hoping for. I definitely recommend the spot especially if you were visiting freehold borough during the coronavirus pandemic. If you want to dine safely and have a delicious bite you can't go wrong here!

Food doesn't disappoint but the service was painfully slow today at lunch on a Wednesday. We were literally one of two tables occupied for lunch at 12:30 and it took 2hrs 40min to get through the meal. Everything was delicious however.

Tucked in downtown Freehold with easy access from the back lot. Casual Italian restaurant with some familiar faces. I ordered the artichokes, fried calamari, roasted peppers with burrata and the cheese calzone as appetizers, they were all very good. For the main course I had the veal with arugula and fresh tomatoes it was very good. All in all I liked it a lot and will be back.

Parking is a little bit behind the actual restaurant (not much street parking). This was my first time coming to the area so took a minute to find the additional parking. It's is fancier (wait staff is wearing white button down dressier shirts and black pants), linen table cloths and napkins. We were seated immediately with our reservation. There is a ton of pasta choices, all are said to be made fresh. Both of our pastas (Cacio e Pepe and Pappardelle all Limone di Almafi) were both good, not amazing but good. Although we had different pasta dishes the sauces were similar which was weird. We shared the special which was the branzini with lemon sauce and sautéed veggies. This was a low point in the meal. The veggies were all cold and over cooked, the sauce tasted so strong like lemon juice straight from concentrate. Very overpowering and took over the palate completely. Would probably come back to try some of the other pasta dishes to compare. It is on the pricey side. Complimentary focaccia style bread with olive oil for dipping was provided.

Food not so good but large portions. Glopie is the word I would use. If you're not used to good food this place might be okay.

As soon as my card was charged, however, the delivery estimate changed to 3:48 p.m.--a two-hour wait that was not disclosed until after payment. I immediately called the restaurant to cancel, but they told me I needed to deal with the app. The app first routed me through an AI chatbot that could not handle the issue, and it took several minutes to reach a live representative. That representative then told me I needed to contact the restaurant. When I explained that the restaurant had already directed me to the app, I was told this was a "self-delivery" order, meaning the restaurant itself was responsible for delivering it. I called the restaurant again and was told the order had already been prepared. Rather than wait nearly two hours, I drove there and picked it up myself--after already paying a 15% delivery tip. When I arrived, I explained how frustrated I was and asked them to do something to make the situation right. Their idea of compensation was to give me two small round cutouts from what appeared to be leftover cake--not even an item on the menu. Rather than making things right, it felt like insult added to injury. To make matters worse, the food was terrible. The pizza appeared to have been sitting for close to an hour by the time I received it. I used to enjoy Frankie Fed's, but after spending nearly $100, being sent back and forth between the restaurant and its own app, paying for delivery I never received, and seeing such a poor effort to resolve the situation, I will not patronize them again. There are better restaurants in the area that are more professionally run and value their customers. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Pathetic Check out the pics for further details.

The restaurant is small and cozy, with wooden tables that seat up to 4 people lining the walls and sitting in the middle of the place. Three gear-chain chandeliers hang from the ceiling and the drinks station can be seen in the back, with a skeleton on a motorbike being propped on top of it. The ordering counter is in the back as well and a mounted TV plays overhead on the leftmost wall as well. We ordered the following: Veggie lover and cheese lover pizza, which is topped with mozzarella, broccoli, spinach, eggplant and tomato. This was ok. Hubs usually likes ordering vegetables on top of pizza to get his fiber. Hubs liked it, too. Linguine with white clam sauce - whole clams and parsley sautéed in garlic wine broth. Server came back to ask if we wanted in dinner portion or lunch portion. We didn't realize there was a lunch portion and was glad that he gave us a choice. We ordered the lunch portion. They were generous with the whole clams and sprinkled in some clam meat, as well. Loved the combination of clams, pasta and white wine with parsley. Delicious! Service was quick and friendly. I loved that the server offered us a lunch or dinner portion for the linguini. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

(Forgot to take photos of anything because it was so delicious)…read more From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly. My partner had been here before and always said how good it was, but this was my first time since I just moved to the area, so I was really excited to try it. The place is under new ownership, and the owner himself welcomed us and chatted with us like we'd known each other for years while he made our food, such a great vibe. We started with a plain pie to test the waters and it was honestly amazing. I went back the next day to try more and got a buffalo chicken slice to eat there and a chicken caesar wrap to take to work later. Everything was so good. The wrap was light but very filling, and the buffalo chicken slice was so good I ordered a second one to go before I even left. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for quality pizza and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

The buffalo calamari was perfectly crispy with a bold kick! I really enjoyed the twist on a classic appetizer. Served with ranch on the side, delicious! The spicy piggy pizza had me sold with dollops of ricotta, fresh prosciutto and hot honey! Man oh man this was delicious, all the components of the pizza coming together so nicely. The crème de la crème was Bobby's triple threat pizza. A Sicilian pie with tomato, pesto and vodka sauce. Truly a masterpiece! The trio of sauces blend excellently in each bite. And of course we had to test if their plain slice passed the test. Happy to report it was a solid 10 out of 10! We ended our meal with some of their amazing fresh zeppoles. They have a small, clean dining area with classic red and white plaid tablecloth. The vibe feels familiar, like you're at a family member's house.
