The decor has so many different textures and yet all elegant. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice day. Instead of doing a tasting, we decided to order a glass of wine, there is a wonderful choice of wines, and she also serves with cider and local beer. Grab our glasses found a table on the covered porch and just relaxed and savored our wine. The wine was delicious and we bought a couple of bottles This is a working vineyard, so there are chickens and quails roaming around. It's pretty cool. Just another thing to add to the charm. Before I forget this place is also dog friendly although if they do react strongly to words that may not be a good fit. Definitely worth the stop and looking forward to returning

They have different live music and food vendors regularly. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Good selection of wines and even some beer! They also generally have soda and water for those who don't drink alcohol.

The wines were all good. Obviously liked some more than others. I personally appreciate and prefer biodynamic wines. I just think they have better flavor. I'm not a wine snob, but Troon is Demeter Biodynamic and Regenerative Organic Gold Certified (only one of four in the world). The Amphora Amber Vermentino (orange) was good and the Tannat was awesome. They do small batch so many of the reds had already sold out. Our server, Kitty, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, the process, and the uniqueness of each variety. We were blown away! She paced the tastings perfectly. We weren't waiting too long in between and we also didn't feel rushed. I didn't take pictures, but the outdoor lawn area is wonderful.

This isn't a restaurant "winery" where many come mostly more to eat and socialize more than taste and buy wine, and as such there isn't a nonsense tasting fee (So do the right thing and buy a bottle, or two, or...)

Truly, there's nothing better on a chilly day than a wonderful glass of wine paired with genuine hospitality. During our trip, we found ourselves returning to Walport Family Cellars several times. Each visit was just as welcoming as the last. The owners and staff have a special way of making you feel right at home, creating an atmosphere that's relaxed, inviting, and memorable. We'll never forget the fudge pairing they offered--the flavors were incredible and perfectly complemented the wines. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--not only for their outstanding wines, but also to hear the story behind them. It's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
