After a long day at the water park, we were too tired to cook. It was kind of hard to find since there wasn't any signage from the road and it resides back in a plaza. Pizza was calling our names and we definitely were hungry for it. We placed our order over the counter and sat inside. The garlic knots came with a side of marinara dipping sauce. The large pizza pie had half cheese and half pepperoni. I liked the garlic knots more than the pizza. The pizza had too much oil and it was dripping way too much for me. The staff was friendly and brought out the food in a reasonable amount of time. We were the only ones that ate inside when we went in on a Monday evening. I'm not sure if a lot of the orders are take outs instead of dining in since we saw customers come and go while we were there. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot again for a specialty pizza. read more

**Gluten Free Crust Available!** Found Solorzano's on Yelp, my oldest loves a good ricotta pizza which they advertised. I liked that it was off the main drag - which made me think we could get in a bit faster than other options. The building is underwhelming, with giant window coverings advertising a variety of accolades. My husband wasn't impressed and wanted to try elsewhere. We went over to Big Daddy's Pizza and we're quoted an hour wait, so back to Solorzano's. Dining area is quaint with white painted metal tables and chairs. Everything was so clean, no dirty tables when we arrived. We were able to select our own table, so we chose the dining room to the right which has tons of photos on the walls and there was a television with golf on at the end of the room. My husband ordered our food at the counter (no table service) and our appetizer came out extremely fast. Bottled and canned drinks only, no cups. Two daughters split a white pizza while my husband and youngest split a pepperoni pizza. My GLUTEN FREE CRUST white pizza was delicious - could have been a bit hotter when it arrived to our table. Gluten Free was not advertised on their website but it is on the menu! A 12" GF Crust is $17. Definitely pricy for no table service and no drink refills, but not having wait for a table was nice. read more

This place is almost hidden and there are no indications outside that it is open! The slices in the case looked a little old, so we opted for a fresh made Centrella pizza. It was good, loved the crust! We also had the garlic knots, they were good, but not the best I've had! Did not see any fresh garlic on them, tasted like powdered garlic. After driving 5 plus hours from Cincy, we were too pooped to cook. Solorzano's was close, so we gave it a try. For a 4 1/2 star rating, I wasn't impressed. The pizza was okay, but it was expensive and the wait time (45 minutes) seemed a bit much for just okay. They don't offer delivery, so another trip to get it. I visited Solorzano's with a friend for a "pizza dinner" on our last night in Gatlinburg on 5/28/24. We started sharing a salad..not just any salad, but a huge fresh greens with yellow mini pepper slices in a huge bowl and centered in the middle of the fresh greens were pinwheels of salami rapped around a center of tasty mozzarella! Also, manyham/cappacioli wraps around a fontina cheese in the middle of the salad. A salad as big as all-let-out!! Many different veggies just delicioso! As we awaited, Frank Sinatra's robot, a traveling cart to deliver food passes us delivering food to nearby tables! An actual robot singing a Sinatra tune made me feel like I was eating in Italy (I'm from NY..fussy about Italian!). Then in the middle of eating this delicious salad our yummy pizza arrived. Thin crusted, great sauce, glorious cheeses. If you're lookung for great salad & pizza, you gotta try Solorzano's! They make it worth your while!! Oh yeah, try the Tiramisu!! I've eaten here twice: once in the restaurant and once to go. One thing I will say is the pizza is excellent. Everything about it is top quality and delicious. Where things fall apart is the service. When we ordered in, we ordered a supreme but ended up with a Hoboken heart attack (all meat) pizza. Rather than wait for a new pizza we ate it and, thank goodness, it was terrific. Point is, we did not get what we had our hearts set on. When we ordered out, we were given an estimate of 30 minutes to pick it up. I arrived in 30 minutes and was told it wasn't ready. So, I sat in the restaurant and waited another 30 minutes before going up and asking how much longer. He goes to the oven area and says, Here it is! Who knows how long it was sitting there for me to pay for it but I was the only one there, and I'd given him my name prior to sitting down. No apology, nothing. They do not appear to have their act together behind the counter. For the price you pay, and this place is very expensive IMO, I also have a problem paying an upcharge to use a credit card. With only the 2 of us, we ordered by the slice and it was $10 for 2 slices and a drink (canned drink). Service was pretty quick, and the food was hot. The design was very minimal, metal chairs, but the walls were full of fun stuff to look at. Took a couple of pictures and will post. We both had a slice of pepperoni and one of cheese. The crust was beautiful and had the appropriate amount of char. Very large slices of pepperoni which was delicious. The cheese slice was really good and could have used more sauce. Pizza is one of the most subjective foods and extremely difficult to rate because it's solely based on preference. However, this place prides itself on being NJ style pizza and I can say I have tried many! I thought the ambiance was great and away from the busy touristy spots in the area. The antipasto salad was amazing and I would go back for that alone. As for the pizza, it's a good option for Tennessee. The sauce and cheese were tasty but I felt like the crust missed the mark. Tried out a large pepperoni pizza. Pepperoni topping pieces were few and small. I'd say the pepperoni pieces themselves were maybe half the size of your average pepperonis. If I remember correctly, the pie was cut in eighths, and each piece maybe had around 3 small pepperoni pieces. Overall flavor was ok and I did enjoy the thinness along with its crust size.
