Wow! The pizza was soooo good! The sourdough crust was definitely the highlight here. Being from Seattle, we are very lucky to have some decent pizza places, but this is at the top of the list. I could cry thinking about this place. It was incredible. Truly an experience. My brother was hyping it up a lot, and honestly his praise didn't do this place justice. Every pizza is exceptional, but the ones I thought were truly truly exceptional were the Pizzicleta and the 'Nduja & Mushrooms. He was kind enough to share a slice of his pizza with me. I loved the combination of the roasted mushrooms and speck ham. My hubby also got the Abridged Homeslice beer and loved how they had that as a special tonight. For dessert, we couldn't leave without trying the cherry mascarpone gelato. Wife and I went here upon arriving in town. We were lucky to get an 8:30 reservation on a Thursday night. Had the Ovoline appetizer which was fantastic. Got a 'Margherita pizza and added pepperoni and mushrooms. Excellent. She bakes homemade sourdough bread at home every week and this was just as tasty. The highlight of the night was when they brought the appetizer plates - all of the heirloom variety. One was the same as the China set wife inherited from her grandmother when she passed away in 1996. We asked the server if we could purchase it, which we did for $5. Super cozy spot that typically requires reservations, but we were able to call ahead and get a table. When the table opened up earlier, they even called us to let us know. The service was wonderful and the house wine was delicious. The pizza wait was a little backed up, but the server went and checked on it for us. The pizza itself was delicious and I appreciate that they have quite a few options but a special as well. The crust was the real highlight because it was so fluffy but light. After spending 3 days & nights in Knoxville and eating at some VERY good restaurants, this was hands down the best meal! We started out with their Insalata Di Ruchetta. A refreshing Arugula salad with Pistachios, Sliced Parmiganio Reggiano in an amazing Lemon Vinaigrette dressing. In fact the salad and dressing was so simple and delicious that I tried to look up the Vinaigrette dressing on line and "The Google" actually provided a huge response, including the dressing recipe in Italian! For our Pizzas, we ordered a 'white' one-"Funghi" which had an amazing truffle oil and full of tasty toppings and a 'red' one-"Calabrese" and added some fresh sliced garlic to it. It too was AMAZING with a great spicy flavor. We couldn't finish both pizzas so breakfast the next day was covered! We had to finish our experience with some delicious gelato- Oreo & Cherry Marcapone. HOLY MOLY WHAT AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Ohhhhh, have to talk about the other two rating points. The pizza here is insanely delicious. The flavorful toppings and sauce combinations are wonderful, but the crust is my absolute favorite. The sourdough is baked to perfection in the woodfire oven and is both flawlessly crisp and chewy. I have been here a handful of times and took my parents here who were visiting from Arizona, and they quite literally said it was the best pizza they ever had in their life. The bianca pizza with prosciutto and arugula is my favorite, but they have several other delicious options including the calabrese, simple margherita, and spicy greens if you like a lemony kick. I have had wonderful service here, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings for your meal. The place is dim lit overall, but they have a room reserved in the back for larger groups that has good natural lighting if you go before dark. I had a to-go meal from A Dopo during a solo work trip. It was after I had a late evening yoga class from The Glowing Body Yoga & Healing Arts, an instructor and a few very nice class mates had recommended for me to try out A Dopo! From my first impression, it was a very cute yet high-end, very busy and lively pizza place. I felt a tad undressed in yoga pants and athletic gear given that I had just left from an intense workout. I realized that I was not dressed for the occasion and went up to the host stand and asked if I could order to-go since I was an out-of-town traveler who was here for a work trip. Even though I looked a little out of place (for being under dressed) the host was extremely nice and accommodating to me as she told me that I could order from their to-go menu (different menu than the sit-down menu) and that she could deliver the pizza to me as I waited in my car. It was very sweet and nice of her, especially since it was raining super hard outside and I wanted to stay warm in my car. It was a long wait, but I was grateful for the pizza nevertheless. The margarita pizza was airy and light on the sauce. The basil was not in good condition, lots of browning. The pizza was pretty good, however I felt an extreme sense of FOMO because I did not have the opportunity to eat their pizza from the original menu. My yoga class mates and the host explained to me that the original menu has pizzas made with different ingredients over the to-go menu.
