I didn't even get to do that because of this ant infestation & the property doesn't take it seriously. When I let Samantha know there were ants she was like "yeah, that happens during this season." If it's such a common occurrence it should be marketed as such. If I would have gotten a full refund I wouldn't even be as mad. I didn't pay for a room with ants in it & when I let Samantha know that she said that I already got the room at a discounted price. Sounds like just because something is at a discount means it doesn't meet quality standards.

Any photos you find online please realize are taken at creative angles to make you believe that you are about to frolic in the Elysian Fields for a weekend, when really you are down a 15' dirt driveway overlooking a glorified puddle of a pond, with the nosey owners 100' away. You will realize that this is no bargain after you check out and are pursued by the owners for "damages." Their chief rhetorical strategy is as follows, and I quote directly from email correspondence: 1. Overstate the extent and severity of the damage. (e.g.: "Hot tub trashed beyond recovery. Inside filter askew and light cover broken"). 2. Cite a preposterous figure for what repairs would "normally" cost. 3. Back off that figure slightly, while implying this is because they are such reasonable/kind people. It's classic, really. Please don't picture some Spring Break scene in the hot tub, with tequila-fueled games of chicken fought with pool noodles. We were two couples in our early- to-mid thirties who ended our soak by midnight each night. There is no way our collective grunginess could have clogged the system, nor do I think a "cracked light" = "trashed beyond recovery." Then they tried sticking us with a $15 charge for not putting the dishes away from the dish rack. They backed off. But they did try. And, finally, my favorite blanket statement of indemnity: "The stove WAS FUNCTIONING WHEN YOU WERE THERE AND UPON YOUR DEPARTURE, but because it had been bumped hard enough to move and displace the stove from its normal position it set the stove pipe and internal logs askew is not typical. WE REALIZE IT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN YOU directly that caused the displacement but it is why WHOEVER RENTS THE CABIN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES AND ANY GUESTS KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY for any damage." Ask yourself: Do you really want to deal with these people? I rest my case.

The owners were quiet nice and the cabin had everything we needed. The property.was beautiful and the cabin setting was quiet lovely looking out over the water. The weather was a little cool but it made the hot tub and fireplace a real treat each night. The cabin was neat and clean and the beds were wonderful. They have two cabins they rent and I hope to plan a family reunion for the summer of 2011. I think my grandkids will love this place with it's campfire pits, fishing pond and little boat. Over the last decade we have mostly stayed at hotels or B&B's but finding these furnished vacations rentals on our travels has made our vacation / road trips more peaceful and enjoyable. Professional Driving: The ride was smooth with no surprises or sudden moves. After chatting with Dave and Dawn, I learned they had been trained on advanced competitive driving, including skills for handling aggressive drivers, low visibility and slippery roads. 3. Outstanding Service: On our return trip, we accidentally left a baby toy in the vehicle. I was prepared to pay for shipping it back, but Dave delivered it to our home the next morning. This gesture was above and beyond my expectations. 4. Reasonable Pricing: Compared to other companies offering similar services, their prices are very reasonable. Overall, I was really impressed by the quality of car service, especially the predictability. That's the most important factor. I often opted for driving by myself rather than hiring a transportation service because it would introduce another failing point, but they really nailed it with no surprises during and beyond the entire trip. Over the course of four days, I was given four completely different SUV price quotes, each time blamed on a "system" or "technical" error. The rates changed repeatedly with no clear explanation or accountability. If a company cannot consistently generate an accurate quote, it raises serious concerns about their ability to deliver service on the day of travel. This process was disorganized, frustrating, and a complete waste of time. I ultimately cancelled the reservation and would not trust this company for any future travel. I will be advising others to avoid them as well.

Great option from Seattle to Crystal…read more Two recommendations: 1. Clarify pick up location in e-mail. There were two addresses for the Downtown Seattle pickup. I was lucky to be at the right one, but I was 2 minutes from walking to the next address when I did not see the bus. 2. We left at 415pm from Crystal. We waited for other passengers. I don't mind waiting, but I thought it was unfair for those who returned to the bus on time. I recommend just changing the departure time to 430pm. Crystal closes at 415pm. Not to mention that we had to sit in traffic for an additional hour in the morning, so that was a total of 75 minutes that I missed on the snow. The bus is still very convenient if you don't have a car and it is only you for the day.

None of the outlets nor USB ports worked, nor did the fan controls overhead. The slight draft through the vent and the broken seal around the windows sufficed. Our bus carried only five passengers, we spaced ourselves apart, and fortunately nobody nuked a big one. Most of the window gaskets squeaked, annoyingly, and one showed a visible gap. I did think, a window could fall out, and thus would not reach Vancouver on schedule. They couldn't even properly adjust the large LED clock, still set on Standard Time and a few minutes late. Litter left and scattered from the previous trip tells me either nobody cleaned the bus in Seattle, where we originated, or they were given so little time or otherwise cleaned it poorly. I wouldn't have known about MTRWestern had Flixbus not contracted them for the codeshare to Vancouver. Nor would i have otherwise chosen them. They ran the worst, dirtiest, and least maintained bus i've ever ridden.

Along the way we saw: 1 black fox, 2 harbor seals, 1 harbor porpoise, a rhinoceros auklet (unique diving sea bird), 13+ Bald Eagles, AND TWO HUMPBACK WHALES! The beach side lunch was fantastic... the best turkey sandwich I've ever had, made exceptional by the views and the company. The lack of an Orca sighting made this full day trip an eyelash shy of perfect, but we could not have otherwise been more thrilled with our experience on the water with Brandon and the Discovery Sea Kayak team.
