During our family reunion, this was a constant meeting spot, barbeque area, and general hang out place. The adorable cottage sits back from the road so no water view (see the Duplex for that) but the generous deck overlooks farmland, the mountains, and the friendly neighborhood alpaca. Best news is that Karen's Cottages allows dogs which is getting harder and harder to find in Sequim. Now we just have to worry about fighting over this place in the future.

Would have gotten 5 stars except for the following; 1. Each time you come or go you have to get out of your car and manually open/close the gate. For what they charge for rooms they should have an electric gate and give people the code. 2. Breakfast is only served at 9AM, and often you want to get out early to beat the crowds to hiking/scenic places. 3. The ice machine has been broken for quite some time, so if you want ice later in the evening you need to hope the house manager is around. Otherwise it is a wonderful place to stay.

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and I fear no other B&B will compare. The property was stunning with both mountain and ocean views, lush lavender fields and a cidery all on the property. I was just expecting a pastry and a coffee for breakfast but the full breakfast rivaled some top tier restaurants. Ginger and Scott are ideal hosts, they were full of knowledge and provide great recommendations. The comfort, ambiance, views, and hospitality make Salt and Cedar a destination all on its own. Mark is the chef for the Williams Manor and Organic Gardens, a new bed and breakfast in Sequim. It was a delicious meal prepared with seasonal and organic ingredients, much of which Mark actually grew himself! Stuffed tomatoes, shrimp with herbed cream cheese on baguettes, blue cheese dip with crackers - everything was scrumptious and beautifully presented. And the pickled garlic scapes were so incredible, I believe I embarrassed myself. Mark's task was complicated by serving outdoors, in a garden and a somewhat limited budget. Comfortable B&B in Port Angeles - we enjoyed our stay last week when we were in the area…read more Five Seasuns B&B is close to the PA ferry terminal (we arrived from Victoria BC), the northern areas of Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, Sol Duc Falls) and the northeast part of Olympic peninsula (we visited lavender farms in the Sequim-Dungeness area since our visit coincided with Lavender Fest). Value was fair. We paid $828 for two nights in the Indian Summer Suite ($918 with tax). For this the missus and I got a private bedroom with a queen bed, and our children each got their own beds in the kitchen/living area. The single bathroom and shower stall was adequate for our needs and we had a parking spot underneath the unit. Caroline, who has owned and operated the B&B for 8 years, was consistently communicative, warm and helpful. She baked cookies for us both evenings, and served us healthy and filling breakfasts. She also offered good advice on where to go for dinner and sightseeing. Bonus: the grounds are captivating, with deer and a fish pond on the premises. We would be happy to return.
