As a frequent shopper here, I can tell you that the 20% sales happens often in store and online, so don't be bummed if you think you missed it the first time. I later learned that it's their green tea diffuser that is all around the store - nice! There's a bunch of modern looking decor items, lots of pillow selections and a small furniture area with things such as ottomans, side tables, bar chairs, and accent chairs. They also have a curtain section. I found myself at their art section looking through their canvas' and came across a huge canvas at 30% with an additional 20% at checkout since the entire store was on sale. The canvas was such a steal coming at $140 after tax. I have purchased a buffet here in the past and although looks amazing, the quality of wood is softer than i'd like and you can see the cabinetry start to warp since it carries a lot of alcohol on the shelves. Love the look but quality is okay. It's a lower grade to medium tier shop for furniture quality but this is the place where you can find trendy decor items that you can swap out seasonally. Definitely still a great place to buy things for the home and I find myself browsing their website and even stepping foot into their store once in a while because it looks so good!

This HomeSense is a combo store with Winners. I saw both these stores on Sunday on my way to an…read moreeatery for lunch. Coming back, I decided to check out this store. It's in a plaza with parking. It was pretty busy. I ended up parking in front of Sleep Country Canada. I could have used a nap after a huge meal, but I went shopping. I like these combo stores because you can walk between them without any barriers. You don't have to go outside. It's nice, especially when there was light snow happening. I liked the Hello Kitty bedding. I don't have any. Same goes with a Hello Kitty pillow. It was so cute. The drinkware section was cool. There was a discussion between two customers and a HomeSense employee. The customer was looking at all YETI tumblers. They all had missing lids. It was weird. I saw an Umbra penguin liquid soap dispenser. I love Umbra. This dispenser seemed small, but it was cute and functional. It's a huge store. I saw mermaid tails. The linens section looked inviting. The lineup at the checkout was long, but it did move fairly quickly. I ended up grabbing a Keroppi Squishmallows plushie while in line. The price was great and the plushie is adorable. I had the nicest woman at the checkout. I was purchasing a small Kipling crossbody purse. She was squeezing the cheeks of the monkey attached to the purse. She was equally as enamoured as I was. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and all was great. She asked if I needed a bag. I declined. I grabbed my purchases and headed to my car as huge snowflakes were falling. One snowflake went in my right ear. I wonder if that's a good omen. I had a fun experience here. One of these days, I may have Hello Kitty bedding. If I do, you'll know where I got it. (61)

Yesterday morning, I had a moment of panic when I realized my wallet was missing--the Louis Vuitton wallet my daughters gifted me for a special birthday. Inside were my credit cards, gift cards, and some birthday money I had just withdrawn. Needless to say, I was distraught and retracing my steps as quickly as I could. When I called HomeSense, a lovely lady in Customer Service answered and calmly asked for my name. To my shock and absolute relief, she told me my wallet had been found and kept safely for me! I can't express how emotional I felt--I was overwhelmed with tears and gratitude. On my way back to Vaughan Mills to pick it up, I learned that the HomeSense team had even reached out to my condo building to confirm they had my wallet, just to make sure I got the message.
