I came in to return two clearly defective items for store credit bc I already purchased the replacements (as seen in my lululemon app). Instead of helpful service, I was told by the manager Collin--repeatedly--that "it's policy" to only do even exchanges, with no explanation. When I tried to express my concerns, he accused me of "having an attitude." Another manager, Brantley/Berkley, then approached in an intimidating manner that made me feel uncomfortable and singled out. He stood watching over me with his arms crossed just to try and intimidate me -- just for returning items that don't live up to their quality! After finally giving me replacements, Collin cut the tags off the new items in front of me, again claiming it was "policy." I've shopped at Lululemon for two decades and have never seen this. When I asked to keep my original tag (as proof of purchase, which I paid for), he refused. I have video of the interaction, and the entire experience felt disrespectful and punitive. Lululemon, this is unacceptable for a company that value ls community, inclusive and basic customer service. Customers deserve transparency and basic respect--neither of which I received today.

A couple of weeks before visiting the Nashville store, I called ahead because the patches on a backpack I purchased had become damaged during a wash. I explained the situation and specifically asked if I could bring the backpack in to have the patches removed and re-sewn. The employee I spoke with told me yes and said they did this all the time, so I made the trip to the store. When I arrived a couple of weeks later, I was greeted by the store manager, Marcos M., who immediately told me it was a "black and white" policy that he absolutely could not remove and re-sew the patches. I asked if I removed one of the patches myself, would he simply sew it back on. He replied that he would see the holes and still would not do it. I explained that I had specifically called ahead before making the trip and had been told this service could be done. Rather than trying to help, he mocked the situation by asking for the name of the employee I had spoken with, which of course I didn't have after a phone call made weeks earlier. I then showed him Stoney Clover Lane's own policy, which states: "If a patch comes off your Stoney Clover Lane item, you can re-sew the fallen patch and add a new one. Stoney Clover stores will sew patches on for a $15 customization fee, but they cannot accept mailed-in items." I asked what the difference was if I removed the damaged patch and paid the customization fee to have it sewn back on, since their own website indicates stores provide this service. Marcos responded that he was following his policy and said he trusted that over "something AI from the internet." I explained that I wasn't showing him something generated by AI--it was information directly from Stoney Clover Lane's own website. Even after seeing it, he still refused. He told me I would need to email corporate and that he would only perform the service if corporate specifically instructed him to do so in writing. Beyond the refusal itself, the interaction was disappointing because of how it was handled. Marcos appeared visibly frustrated throughout the conversation and was not friendly or interested in finding a solution. For a brand with premium-priced products, I expected a much higher level of customer service and professionalism. Overall, this experience left me disappointed, especially after calling ahead, confirming the service, and making a trip to the store based on the information I was given.
