    Hot pretzel

My husband and I came here for an event and were really happy to be introduced to this venue! They had an outside vendor making burgers and things like that. Our burgers were delicious and customizable! Apparently they also sometimes have a food truck but they didn't when we were there on a Friday night. The staff here are so friendly and it's cool how they have the outdoor space with games that is family friendly. My husband had a great west coast ipa he really enjoyed though he was disappointed that the other west coast ipa wasn't available. I had a great Cabernet franc but was also disappointed that they didn't have the Merlot listed on the menu. The pumpkin beer with sugar rim was a fun fall treat. The hot pretzel was delicious and a good size. It was also a nice touch to get it with everything bagel seasoning or salt, whatever we preferred. We got the everything bagel seasoning and really enjoyed it. Would definitely come here again!

Visit Date: September 9, 2023 I have a friend who likes breweries. So even though I'm sober I end up visiting breweries with him because it's his thing. So Saturday night I didn't have my son and before going over to my other friend's house after work I met my friend at Somerset. They do have some non alcoholic drinks available, I had a can of seltzer. I think on some nights they have different food trucks guest serving food but they also have some of their own food. My friend and I split two small pizzas. They were very good, one of the employees told us they get the pizza from a local pizzeria. I think my friend liked his beers, I should take photos of his beers and ask his opinion next time I go to another brewery with him. There's more outside space than inside space so I guess this place might do better business when it's warmer out. When I got there they had a band playing and outside they have a bunch of different games around. I also noticed many kids so parents if you're like me and sometimes you want to hang out somewhere with your friends but you have to bring your child along at least in the summer this seems like a child friendly place. I enjoyed my time here and might be back with my beer drinking buddy.

    The pizza here was great.

Had a great time with my son and wife today. Rode bikes over to the brewery and had some great pizza and brews and rode home. Met some nice people and thier lil cute dogs. Very friendly atmosphere. Will be back again soon.

It's always fun to review a brewery. I love getting to talk about all the different aspects of a beer spot, especially when it's fantastical like Somerset Brewing Company. My buddies and I visited this West Hempstead beer haven a few weeks ago and had a truly pleasurable experience. Backtracking for a moment, I did visit Somerset one time prior back in July for a quick pint of beer with a friend when we were looking to kill some time. It was super crowded on that hot summer day (we almost couldn't find a seat), but there was a half-free table we snagged and sat outside enjoying the live music, TVs with baseball on, and the overall dynamic vibe of the place. It was cool to also see a massive slab of wood being used as a bar-top (more on that wood in a moment) for people to order from, basically creating very little need to go inside. Flash forward to this most recent trip and it was a completely different (but incredibly enjoyable) visit. This time there really wasn't much setup outside as it was already mid-November and the weather wasn't outdoor drinking quality. Inside though, there were a few tables as well as a bar top that was also made of wood. That aspect of wood is honestly pretty darn cool as a large portion of the place is made up of different structures and items that have been cut and carved by the owner of the brewery. Even the flight holders and names for the beers are made from wood and gives Somerset a slightly unique quality over other breweries. What was also unique was the enjoyment of many of their beers. The tap list was rather extensive for what seemed like a somewhat smaller setup, and there was a nice variety of IPAs, German-style beers, and a few stouts with everything tasting crisp, complex, and well-made. Highlights included Memphis (a festbier with a nice smoothness accompanied by a small bite on the end), Big Boy (a superbly juicy and hazy NE IPA), and Matriarch (a barrel-aged stout with just the right balance of boozy and rich chocolate/coffee flavor notes). Not drinkable was the super chill and friendly bartender who we talked to about music, sports, traveling, and (most importantly) beer. It was a completely casual and enjoyable experience (no one else was there too which was nice). It was so lax that I could've vouched for staying there all day, but alas, we had further brewery plans on our agenda and so we headed out after finishing our flights. Overall, Somerset Brewing Company is a glorious addition to the beer scene and in a location that isn't already over saturated with breweries. It has a small interior that could get crowded, though it's still a friendly setup (through staff and its woody vibes) plus the warmer months allow a much larger extension of things. Oh and the beer is pretty dang good! I may not be as close to this area as I once was, but you can bet your brewskie I shall return.

Great experience all around: tasty variety of beers (Big Boy and Helen stood out), friendly owner (Manny), great atmosphere both inside and outside and delicious food from the food truck parked in the lot. Highly recommended.

Love this brewery. Just might have the coldest beers on Long Island. It's tucked away off the road but totally worth it. Very cool set up and vibe. Bartenders know their beers for sure. Great selection of beers so there should be something for everyone. A food truck was on hand so we had some finger food with our beer. Dog friendly!!! We will definitely be back. Cheers

Such a fun time! It's so nice to have a chill spot like this close to home. I work in Brooklyn and this is all I see around there so it's nice to have something like that in Nassau! Staff are super friendly, great food and amazing brews

Their selection and variety is fantastic! Service is wonderful and the ambiance is laid back and cozy (inside). The outdoor area is fun and welcoming. Definitely a must if you're anywhere on Long Island and it will soon be your favorite place to stop for a refreshing drink!

Affordable and delicious beers/ciders. They don't have a full food menu but have fair light bites. Nice vibes too.

Beginning in 2014, Bilello began homebrewing out of his backyard shed. By 2016, after working as an intern at Oyster Bay Brewing, he started looking for a space to open his own brick & mortar brewery. Bilello finally acquired a circa 1928 building in downtown Glen Cove and would spend the next two years renovating it. He chose the name "Noble Savage" as a reference to his way of life: to live nobly and have a noble vision, but be savage in your actions. After running out of money, Bilello initially opened the space as a craft beer bar before he generated enough revenue to get the brew system running. Within a few years, Noble Savage became nationally acclaimed for their small-batch hazy IPAs as well as Bilello's strict commitment to using 100% New York State-grown and floor-malted grains from the Hudson Valley. I recently visited Noble Savage while I was traveling through Long Island. They have been on my list since I read about them in Hop Culture Magazine. I arrived right as they opened for the day. The taproom has sort of a rustic feel to it. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the draught menu. The staff were friendly and there seemed to be a small group of regulars stopping by for beers. Throughout my visit, I enjoyed short pours of "Unintended Consequences" (Dark Lager), "Compelling Insight" (New England IPA), "Psychedelic Hyperboost" (New England IPA), and "Vicarious Joy" (Double New England IPA). Everything was really good; I can see what all of the hype is about! Owner and brewmaster Frank Bilello was nice enough to chat with me for a few minutes, give me a tour of the brew system and even let me sample a green beer fresh from the tanks. If you're a serious craft beer drinker then keep Noble Savage on your radar!

Unfortunately, they did not have their usual amount of beer on tap...some sort of heating issue slowed them down. Regardless the three beers I DID get to try were all amazing, especially the DARK LAGER!! It was so good I bought a four pack of cans to bring home and savor! Looking forward to another visit when they have more selection so I can try more! They also have cider...but I was sticking to beer.
