We had a lovely Saturday afternoon here on the final & blustery day of January 2026. So many taps plus wine, sangria and I believe some cocktails as well. More seating than you would typically find in a small brewery, with many TV's and games around to keep you & the kids busy. I liked my Cinnabon cider so much that I had a second. The Smokin Sandy Pineapple parked right out front making some nice winter eats that they escort right back to your table. Worth the drive down to the area if you are not local, you can park yourself for hours and the tap choices are varied & endless. Nice folks! read more

I tried four of their beers during a beer and wing pairing at The Bungalow in Oceanside. The Mexican Lager is great! The classic ale and NEIPA are both good. I'm not an IPA fan at all but theirs was quite mellow and enjoyable. Lastly, the vanilla porter was tasty while being very heavy on the vanilla. This place is awesome. I got the Pumpkin Time beer and it was delicious! Very seasonal and the sugar rim is perfect. They have card games and other fun games like darts to play while you drink. We broke out the cards and played some games before the live band came on. The live band was excellent. The service was super quick very friendly and easy to order. Visit Date: July 29, 2022 Even though I am sober I did some brewery hopping with my friend Sunil and my son. I wanted to check out the Remedy because I heard about them. They were performing at the Brewery on July 29. I like that breweries tend to be kid friendly and cool places to hang out for a little while even if you don't drink beer, plus if you don't drink beer they are a relatively cheap time unless you end up buying some food. I had a lemonade which they gave me for free, a seltzer, a can of coke for my son and two bags of chips. They had a food truck outside the brewery that either is part of the brewery food service or just a truck they partnered with for beer and food conjunction but I really didn't have a chance to see what they offered. The music set up wasn't too bad. They had a giant jenga available, and a giant connect 4 which helped keep my 6 year old occupied for a little while once his phone died out. It's nice going somewhere with games because it helps to keep the kid occupied and the games are fun for the adults too. I would recommend the brewery to parents. If you like to drink some beer it's definitely a good place to be to keep your kid entertained while you enjoy a beer or two, if you're into music and sober like me it's a good place to hang and get some music in with your little one. My friend enjoyed some of the beer because he drinks but I'm not sure what he tried so I don't really have his opinion on how any of the beers were. read more

Damn you, South Shore. I know that's a weird way to start off a review, but just roll with it for a moment. Today I visited this relatively new brewery with a couple of buddies and we had a semi-mixed feeling about the place that I suppose led to that starting statement. It should be put into context that we had just traveled from the unfortunately-closing Barrage Brewery in Farmingdale so we strolled into South Shore hoping to get our spirts up with a somewhat new brewery on Long Island. And hey, the initial ambiance of the place was everything we wanted and more. SSCB was spacious with plenty of tables, bar seats (where we ended up), and a little gaming area in the back. Multiple bathrooms and a popcorn machine also added to a fun and family friendly atmosphere. You could tell people had been hanging here all day. Moving on from ambiance, let's talk staff, or at least the two ladies behind the bar who were super friendly and personable. That's always a nice way to begin. They gave us a tiny rundown of the the tap list before we started to look things over. South Shore has the capability to rock at least 12 beers at once which is great to see. They also had a couple of WA Meadworks' products available on tap adding to the greatness of variety available. Ya know what's also cool? An $8 flight consisting of four tasters (no mead though). Between myself and my two amigos, we were able to knock out all the beers available within our small 4oz glasses. Here's where things went awry. South Shore does offer a nice variety of beer styles, whether it was a chocolate porter or a few Hazy IPAs or German variations of brews, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out for us. It wasn't just me. Trying everything from the Irish red Galway Hooker to the Tri-State Ale House Wheat to the Whatta Gemali NE style IPA, my buddies and I just weren't getting any over the top flavors or tastes. Things were either flat or watery or maybe even just a little too similar ok the palate. I was hoping for more pop from each intriguing style, yet nothing was memorable. Hey, maybe Barrage had a factor, but I highly doubt it, especially seeing how we drove over to Barrier afterwards and had some super awesome suds. Alas, South Shore, you just didn't cut it today. Overall, South Shore Craft Brewery is a beautiful spot with a lot going for it (I forgot to mention their little permanent food truck stationed outside). The staff was super friendly and welcoming into their great space. I even purchased a tulip glass to commemorate our first visit...but I can't guarantee a quick return. Proximity may bring me back sooner than later and when it does, I'll cross my fingers in hopes that the beers have improved just a bit. We're rocking a 3 1/2 stars rounded down until that happens. This place will go far and I'm here to tell you why. Pretty spacious but definitely gets crammed on a Saturday afternoon. Large bar area with plenty of places to sit, including tables and chairs. Bathrooms are incredibly clean and well thought out. Bartenders are nice as hell and make sure you have everything you need to maintain a pleasant experience. Now onto the real reason anyone reads a brewery review: THE BEER! - Flights are 4 for $8, which is not a bad deal and gives you a chance to try their various brews - On average they have anywhere from 8-13 beers to try - The Last Man Stout was a fave, followed by the Red Ale. Their Pumpkin seasonal ale was also delicious and comes with the yummy sugar/cinnamon rim on the glass - The logo is adorable (a little hop turned into a ship) and is printed on all of their glasses (which you can also purchase) They also have a food truck outside that seems to have an ongoing contract with them (meaning the truck doesn't rotate with other food trucks). The name is Schnitz & Giggles which, in turn, made me giggle. They will also deliver the food right to you even if you're seated at the bar. This brewery is also dog-friendly and a few people had their children with them. They have a few games in the back and they also have a popcorn machine which came in handy when we wanted a snack but not a full meal from the truck. This place will do well. read more

South Shore Craft Brewery is a brand new Brewery in Oceanside! I went this past Sunday and was not dissapointed! Plenty of tables set up, both low tops and high tops with outlets to plug your phones in which came in handy for us! The space is pretty big with games set up in the back. They consist of giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, Scrabble, Sorry and even legos! This worked our nicely since we had kids with us. They welcome dogs as well and on this Sunday afternoon, a lot of people had their kids and dogs with them. It was such a nice set up. There is a food truck located outside called Schnitz and Giggles which was very good. We ordered a hot dog, grilled cheese and quesadilla. All very good! Your order outside at the truck and they bring it in for you. I started off with a flight of 4 beers and they were all delicious! The pumpkin beer was definitely my favorite! A groupon and my love for craft brews led me to this brewery. Also.....dog friendly drinking activities are my favorite. Came on a Sunday afternoon with the pups, after an hour at the dog park in an attempt to wear them down. This also happened to be one of the warm days in January. The brewery is in an industrial type area, made me feel like I was back in Denver! They have their own parking lot but street parking seems to be also plentiful here. Their garage door was open, letting in the beautiful and warm afternoon sunshine. It was very open inside with a good diversity of seats i.e. bar stools at the bar, at tall tables, or normal size chairs and tables. They had some games available to play, I spotted a large jenga which I wouldve loved to have played if my dog weren't with us. We got our flight and really enjoyed every beer. Our favorite was the tropical ipa, I have since forgotten the name. I also loved the red ale. The beer we tried all had great flavor, each one I could've easily enjoyed on their own. They tasted fresh and diversely flavorful. On a side note, they had mead and wine available for anyone who wants to join in on the brewery atmosphere but doesnt drink beer. The staff were very friendly and so were the customers. Everyone was friendly towards our dogs, they also brought us water bowls for them. This is the type of place you could spend a couple hours in, meet great people, and have a good time. Seems great for both big groups and pairs to go to. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

Great selection of beers and dog friendly! It was a friend's birthday, and we were able to do an open bar for ~$35 per person. My choice in beer was the #3 Pilsner, as I was looking for a lighter beer that day. There is a huge selection-- from Pilsner to lager to IPA to stouts. A few friends tried the Ginger Beer (#1 on menu), and they enjoyed it! It wasn't overly gingery-- it reminded me of a fall lager. There is a food truck outside that has a huge menu that anyone could find an item they'd like. I got the chicken quesadilla, and it was great for an easy brewery lunch. Other items included pizza/flatbreads, sandwiches, and chicken fingers. My only complaint is that there is no womens restroom. There is a mens restroom and then 2 single person non-gender restrooms. There was always a line of at least 3-5 people waiting to use the restroom and would take about 10 mins. read more

We stopped in quickly to check this place out after doing some shopping at Costco. It's located in the industrial area of town. Living in the area it is nice to have another local brewery. There is a small parking lot with lots street parking. There were ample seats around the bar area. There was people of ages. There were even a few kids inside, which we didn't mind at all. Bar was nice and big. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 flights. Each flight was $8. You could choose from 12 or so beers. Very good variety. They were out of the blonde and you could not choose any of the 2-3 meads that they had on tape. There is free popcorn to munch on. There is also a food truck right outside that you can order food from. We didn't order food but from what I saw the food looked good. Overall the beer and atmosphere was great. Went here after the dog park, used a Groupon initially. We ended up staying for another beer after bc we liked the environment. They have very reasonable prices and even have dog bowls for water and popcorn for free while you sit there and drink. I noticed they also have food menus if you get hungry. We had already eaten before we arrived. They have cocktails for purchase as well as a special menu with Mead. I didn't find out about the mead until we were leaving, but I can't wait to go back and try it out! By the way- the beer was very very good! I don't normally enjoy IPAs but enjoyed most of the IPAs they brewed there. This place is a must see! read more
