The staff encouraged her, told her she could…read morebuy it, and the entire store joined in a huge celebration as she said "yes" to the dress. What should have been one of the happiest moments of her life turned into complete humiliation and heartbreak when she was suddenly told she was not allowed to purchase the dress after all. She ran out of the store in tears, utterly embarrassed in front of everyone. This kind of bait-and-switch behavior is not only cruel it violates basic principles of decency and and several Michigan consumer protection laws. The staff did absolutely nothing to help or console her afterward. No one followed up, no one apologized, and no one made any effort to make it right. Instead, they left a sweet, innocent young girl crying and traumatized. As a military Veteran and community leader I urge all families to not shop here, and to take your business elsewhere. This company ignored my asks, disregarded my child and spit on military families everywhere. Boycott all Bridal by Viper locations.

We arrived at 11:55am, went to the door, tried to open it, and it was locked. A woman came to the door and said, "I'm sorry, but we open exactly at noon." and shut the door in our face. So we went back to car in the windy weather and sat there for another 5 minutes. Another group of ladies showed up at 11:58am. They were told the same thing. At this point, it was comical. The same woman that made us wait in our cars for 5 minutes (instead of giving us a warm welcome and letting us sit on a couch to wait and possibly offering us a water) ended up being our consultant. Her name was Amber. She started asking me about my preferences. I informed her that I had already filled out the preference list that was sent to me online. She didn't even bother looking at it. Then she told me that I was going to pick out 4 dresses to try on and she would pick out 1. I told her that I had already selected 5 dresses to try on that were on my wishlist I had created online. I asked her if she had pulled them for me ahead of time. She said, "We're having a problem seeing wishlists online right now. You can see your selections, but we can't see them." I said, "Okay. Well here is my phone and this is what I selected. Could you please see if you have these." She leaves for a few minutes, comes back, and says, "We don't have any of these dresses in the store." Great. Just what I wanted to hear. Still trying to keep an open mind, I look at what they do have in the store. I picked out 4. She picked out 1. None of them were winners. She then went back to pick a few more. One was quite nice. I was really starting to fall for it. We decided to go out in the main showroom to try a veil on with it. Because the dress was 3 sizes too large on me, she said, "Let me see how long it would take for me to order this one and get it here." She leaves, comes back a few minutes later and says, "Well I hate to tell you this, but this dress has been discontinued." WELL THEN WHY EVEN SUGGEST I TRY IT ON IF IT'S NOT AVAILABLE??!! Know your product so you don't put people in this position! With this being my first time trying on dresses, I did learn a few things from the whole process. That was literally the only thing I took away. Other than that, it was a complete waste of time. Between the lousy "welcome", no dresses in the store, the lack of care with studying preferences ahead of time, and no knowledge about what is discontinued or not, it's a complete wonder how this place sells anything. Do not go here.

I just wanted to share with you all about the most wonderful little dress shop in Saginaw, MI. It…read moreis called Lola's Bridal on Gratiot in Saginaw. I called a few days prior to see if they were open on the 5th and they called me back and let me know that they would be open, so I made an appointment. I showed up with my mom, sister, niece and sis-in-law and spent the whole day trying on gowns. Shannon the manager was helping me and I gave her full reign on picking out what she thought would look good on me. She picked out a bunch of dresses and I started going to town. Kelly the owner was also there at the store and she was pulling dresses too, so I had both of these ladies helping me out. These ladies have taste! They both selected such beautiful gowns, and at first I was thinking that I would never find anything because all of the dresses were so pretty...but then I narrowed to down to two. My family and i took a break for lunch and while we were goneShannon pulled a few more for me. When I got back I tried on the other gowns, and even though they were nice...I went back to the first two. Shannon and Kelly were very helpful, but I totally felt no pressure regarding what they thought was better, nor did I feel pressure to purchase. I actually went in not thinking that I would be purchasing, but I loved their service so much that there was no way that I was going to purchase this gown from anyone else! From bridal gowns and accessories, to bridesmaid dresses, they are a full service salon. I would highly recommend them...tell them Carrie Sue sent you! It is not necessary to make an appointment but I think that it is helpful. There were a few other brides in the salon while I was trying on dresses (but I was there for 6 hours:) Since I was in no hurry I kept telling Shannon and Kelly that it was okay to go help other clients. I wanted to savor the experience so I was totally not bothered by the slight interruptions. Here is the contact info for the shop: email: lolasbridalboutique@gmail.com phone: (989) 964-0090 address: 4884 Gratiot Place, Suite 17, Saginaw 48638 www.lolasbridal.com

Let me start by saying, I did find my dress here and I am very happy with my dress. The selection…read morewas decent and it was the first place we went. I am not the kind of person to try on 100 dresses before I choose one so the number of dresses they had worked well for me. Kelly, the owner, was very nice during the process of me trying to find a dress. She helped me in about out of the dresses and gave opinions. My biggest concern was, although I'm from mid Michigan originally, I currently live in Chicago. I work retail hours so I don't have a lot of time to go back and forth between Saginaw and Chicago before the wedding for fittings and alterations etc. Kelly said multiple times that she would do whatever it takes and work with my schedule to make sure that this dress would be able to work for me. After we put more than half of the money down on the dress (we were waiting for it to come in to pay the rest) her demeanor changed. She called repeatedly to get the remaining balance from my mother. She also left me multiple voicemails saying how she was getting worried I wouldn't be able to get fitted for it in time since my date was rapidly approaching. As a side note the dress fits perfectly, and all it needed was to have some layers removed so it wasn't so puffy. I called her and stated that I just started a new job but would have a weekend off to come get the dress hemmed. This is when she told me that the seamstress does not work weekends. Seems like that might be important info to share with an out of town bride before she makes her purchase... I explained to her that I don't have days available to come mid week and her response to me was "I don't know what to tell ya kiddo". As if patronizing me would be a good way to solve this problem. I made an appointment for Monday at 10am which she told me a few times was her doing me a favor since the seamstress wasn't in at that time. Except it wasn't a favor because it was not convenient to me in the slightest. I showed up at my 10am appointment time and took my dress to be hemmed elsewhere. She had said it would be about 200 dollars to hem it and I got it hemmed and bustled at a salon in Flint for an eighth of the price by a woman who was kind and understanding. Do yourself a favor, buy a dress from someone who will be nice to you after the sale. That's the true way to determine someone's customer service standards.

After visiting several bridal stores and either not…read morefinding the right dress or not having the best experience, I decided to stop into The Dress Shop as my last store--just to see what they had. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome and taken care of. Although I'm sure all of their stylists are wonderful, I was incredibly lucky to work with Isabel, and I truly cannot give her enough praise. She was absolutely incredible. Isabel was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the gowns--fabric, designers, styles, silhouettes, details--you name it. She answered every question we had and made me feel reassured and completely comfortable, more than any other shop I visited (and I visited a good few!). One thing I loved was how personal the experience felt. During my first consultation, Isabel asked about my (then) fiancé, how we met, and details about our wedding day. It truly felt like they cared about me and wanted to get to know my story. I honestly felt like I became friends with them! There was never an ounce of pressure. In fact, it was the opposite--they respected when I needed time to think and never made me feel rushed or questioned my decisions. It was such a refreshing, positive experience. This shop--and especially Isabel--is genuinely at the very top of my list of wedding vendors. I've been excited to write this review since the day I bought my dress! Even after my dress purchase, I visited a few more times to look for a veil, jewelry, and accessories, and every single person I interacted with (front desk, phone calls, stylists) was so kind, encouraging, and helpful. I found my dream dress, veil, and bracelet here, and the entire experience was something I'll cherish forever. If you're unsure where to go--especially if you've tried multiple stores like I did--please visit The Dress Shop. You will not regret it.

When we came to pick up the dress, we were told it had been quality checked and there were no issues . Fast forward to prom night. Before she even left for prom, the seam of the slit had popped and opened about half an inch and a seam in the side had popped open. About an hour into prom, one of the straps had broken loose and had to be safety pinned. Incredibly poor quality for such an expensive dress. I called the store for support and while the person at the front desk was nice, she said her manager told her they couldn't do anything about it. I wasn't even looking for a refund, just for them to have their seamstress fix the dress since it essentially broke in 3 places within a couple of hours of her putting it on (and not because it was too small for her). They told me if I wanted it fixed, I would have to pay for it to be repaired. Even then, it's now been 2-3 weeks since sending pictures to get a quote on that repair and I haven't heard anything back. Do better and stand behind your products, especially with your prices! We won't be shopping here again.

We got there 40 minutes before they closed, which full disclosure, made me feel bad but our schedules are what they are. We were immediately treated, given the run down and sent off into the rows of dresses. As we selected dresses, our associate, I think her name was Zoe's, took them to a fitting room. Once we selected 5, my daughter and Zora headed to the dressing room. Zora took the time to "alter" each dress after tying, snapping, zipping, etc and after a few dresses, Zora started looking for ones she thought we'd like. Her suggestions were fantastic. She found several choices we loved and was able to show us alternative color options. As closing time quickly approached, I asked if she minded if we stayed and she was very accommodating, assuring us they were staying late to set up for something, insisting she didn't mind. Unfortunately we didn't find THE dress. We did find a contender and the store is keeping it on file so we can just call if we opt to say "yes to the dress". I was incredibly impressed with all the staff, the selection and the service. I wish we would have found out about this place 4 homecoming's ago. The best part is that they will not sell the same dress again to anyone that goes to the school, not even in another color. I hope we can find another day to go back, revisit the dress and make it happen, if for no other reason than Zora deserves the sale. And I hope I'm getting her name right.
