I was worried about getting furniture delivered downtown, as I live right across the street from San Jose City Hall, but they showed up early, got it to the 9th floor, and installed it smooth as silk, and they did it all within 20 minutes. Seriously, the guy is a pro. I had a really good experience with them, and would buy from them again! They have a smaller selection but everything they sell is cheaper than other places, so if you're looking to save some money, I would check in every so often to see what their stock is.

I figured the furniture scene on the Peninsula was inferior so I didn't even look locally. When a neighbor bought some beautiful furniture from Eurohaus I thought, why not? Oh, my! I had wasted my time and gas going to SF. We found a wonderful selection, lots of styles, fabrics, leathers and makers. The Italian-made sofas we ordered took 6 months to arrive, but it was worth the wait. They're beautiful, super comfy and I think the fabric might even be cat resistant! (Time will tell, but I'm optimistic.) The delivery was excellent, and the delivery men took great care checking the 2 sofas out from every angle. They noticed a small issue with some of the hardware, and returned the next day with parts and tools.

1st red flag, no pictures can be taken in the store. I think this is so you don't find the same…read morepiece online for less (which you will even at so called discounts). 2nd red flag Brandon (the owner) would not give me the name of the piece I had bought. (Instead sent pictures of dimensions.) Just refused, I think this is so I couldn't google it and see the better pricing online. They put vague names on the furniture like "sofa chair" or "sofa chaise". Great way to keep customers in the dark. 3rd red flag, he covered the terms and conditions section on the paper work with a receipt. I've always seen people staple it at the top left/right hand corners. 4th red flag, he wanted me to send him pictures of the front/back of my credit/debit card and I did what anyone would have done and said no. He got defensive. 5th red flag, he wanted to keep the copy of MY purchase receipt, for what? Don't know because he has a copy. Delayed delivery first he said that Thursday (May 8th) then it was the following Tuesday (May 13th) then on delivery day it was "we are coming between 2-4pm" then they were "coming maybe at 5pm." Couldn't shake the fact that I thought I was getting a floor model and so I wanted the sofa assembled at my home fresh out a box because the doubt was already set in at this point. When that wasn't going to happen I asked for a refund and Brandon responded with a lot of exclamation points i.e. what I think is yelling via text. So if you see the store reply to my post and get defensive take that as your sign to do business elsewhere. Shop at your own risk.

For years we have been searching for a good set of dining chairs to replace the worn ones at our dining table. It's a bit like the story of the three bears - quality varied greatly from place to place, either quality was too low or prices too high, or the style just didn't work wherever we went. Then one day, we happened to find the time and purely on happenstance on our morning walk, we wandered on in here to find a set of chairs that matched our existing table at a price that seemed quite reasonable after discount. Our shopping experience was low key.. we wandered in, looked all around for maybe 15-20 minutes and once we found what we liked, we actually had to flag down a salesperson to initiate the transaction. We never felt pressured at all during the whole time. The Delivery - PRO TIP WARNING: As Murphy's Law dictates, I happened to mistakenly schedule the furniture delivery on a day and time that I would not be home. That would not be a problem, except that to reschedule a delivery, there is a $49 surcharge once scheduled.. However, I called the delivery center to explain my situation, and the delivery came early on the scheduled day BEFORE I had to leave for my other appointment. BRAVO! Overall - 4.5 stars - a half star off for the mandatory penalty charge to reschedule a delivery. Again, they made every effort to show up early ahead of my other time commitment and like in the Olympics, they PLANTED the landing! And oh yes, the dining new chairs are wonderful! - and guess what, the chairs REALLY are made in Denmark.. works for me!
