Just what the doctor ordered (not a legit doctor) lol Since I moved to Long Beach about 4 years ago, the first thing I looked for was a massage spot. I was driving down 7th street and decided to check this place out. Everytime I walk in I am always immediately greeted by the gentleman working the front desk right by the entrance. I usually asked for an hour massage but they have a few options. I usually decided on the 30/30, which gives you 30min body and 30min foot massage. I always pay up front which I am totally cool with and then I get guided to a private room to undress and get into a bed. Shortly after they come in and ask if you want the massage medium or hard...I of course ask for hard because that's how like my massages. I will say they are very good with giving you what you pay for if that includes time, products, and service all around. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk with offering you the service and payment ls to the actual massage. I have been coming here religiously for years and anytime I have friends or family in town I make sure we stop by for a nice relaxing time. I voiced which areas of my back I had concern for and wanted more focus, but I left feeling the same as I had walked in. My left lower back was hurting so I decided to get a massage. I have only gotten a handful of massages in my lifetime, but had bookmarked Song Massage when I noticed it while driving around Long Beach. I called a little over an hour in advance to inquire about availability for the 70-minute combo back and foot massage. I am sure they take walk-ins as well, but I wanted a certain time. Upon entering, I was asked to pay first. There was a $1 fee to pay with credit card, which was reasonable, but I felt like it was hard to decide how much to tip prior to actually receiving the massage if you also want to tip with card. I then used the restroom and was brought to one of the rooms (partitioned with curtains). I was instructed to undress to my underwear and then lay on the table. I had a female masseuse who asked if I spoke Chinese, to which I replied yes, so we proceeded to converse in Mandarin for the duration of the massage. The massage was very relaxing and comprehensive, and ended up being essentially a full-body massage. I didn't get quite as much focus on my back as I would have liked, but I really enjoyed the hot stone component. I also was wondering if they would soak my feet prior to the foot massage part but for this massage they did not. Overall, an excellent massage with very peaceful calming music and a quiet environment. Pretty good value for the price, $55 for 70 minutes ($65 after the credit card fee and a $9 tip) as of January 2024. Would recommend! read more

Steve gave me the best massage I've had in years. I did massage professionally for 20 years and I know a thing or two... and so does he. I was a bit of a mess and really needed help. He really knows how to work the different areas of the body. Firm but not too deep. I did the 90 min session and had some unusual requests based on my specific needs and situation and he was able to accommodate easily. I immediately booked another session for 2 hours for next week. I have received massage at different places over the years due to some sciatic issues and work related strains. David at this location is one of the best massage therapist I have ever had. He is very considerate of pressure and asks along the way. He learns areas of challenge over regular appointments and focuses on healing those pains. I am a big bodied person and I hold a lot of tension which requires a stronger hand and considerable intuitive response to trigger points. David will feel one area flair up while he is working another, and ensure the pain is immediately addressed rather than stay on routine. I feel better for longer and I appreciate the hard work he puts in to help me relax. The prices here are very reasonable and hot rocks are included. My advice to customers is if you are not skinny, tip the price of 2 people. This is hard work, don't be cheap when trying to find wellness. read more

YES each time. He laid top of his body on my back and head. It was so awkward and annoying. Best part was when it was over. I purchased a groupon for a 60 min massage with hot stones for this place and scheduled the appointment a week in advance with a male massage therapist. I was a little apprehensive cause I read reviews on here about not so great experiences with the staff redeeming the groupons prior to the appointment and if you were late or missed your appointment you were sh*t out of luck... Place is small and in a congested parking lot but I found street parking to avoid the congestion. Since I also scheduled the first appointment of the day (open 7 days a week at 10am) the parking lot was empty and since there were no other customers (the rooms are side to side & separated by drapes) there was minimal noise but you could still hear the staff's footsteps and talking going on. As for the massage itself, when I scheduled it I requested a male massage therapist and an older lady entered so I told her I had requested a male and she gladly obliged. The male massage therapist was a small guy but packed a good punch for it being a swedish massage (they do not offer deep tissue - I choose males because they tend to be really strong and can get to my knots better). The hot stone treatment was a welcome addition especially on my lower back. Overall the quality was decent for the price but would only recommend this place if you get massages regularly and don't require a deep tissue massage for your joints and muscles. read more

This place was able to accept my walk-in request when all other places nearby to me were booked for the day. I only waited about fifteen minutes or so when I did arrive for a masseuse. Pricing was more than fair compared to most other locations I've been to. The massage itself was good. I asked for a 60 minute Swedish massage for full body. I asked for medium pressure. They applied hot stones to my back which was a plus to the experience. I loved my experience here and left more relaxed. It was clean and I loved the gold fish tank by the entrance. I did the Swedish massage with lavender oil and hot stone. If you prefer strong massages then this place is for you! My husband and I go for a massage bc he thought it was a good idea. This place seemed normal, like any other strip mall/Thai massage place we've gone to. We walk in no appt, they charge $55 for 1 hour, per person. We pay and they put us in a couples room. My husband and I both have sheets over us and I never get the sheet removed when she's working on my back? She is just strangely poking me with pressure through the sheet? After 15 minutes I look over and my husband is getting an actual massage with the sheet lowered, oil and motion/pressure directly applied to his back? I ask the masseuse why my husband is getting an actual massage and it's completely different? She doesn't speak she steps out and gets the manager. I didn't ask for the manager and was not dressed which was extremely alarming. He asks and I repeat my question, he asks if I want oil and I said that's not the point I'm not getting any movement or pressure either, he is next to me and is clearly getting a totally different massage. This makes no sense why he's getting a totally different experience when we asked and paid for the exact same Swedish massage. I don't know if this is or isn't relevant, my husband is Mexican but presents white and I am very obviously a person of color. I say I'd like the service to stop and be refunded and my husband can continue. I get dressed and when I come to the front he wants to charge me half price of the non-massage! He claims I was in there for 25 minutes and I explained I hadn't even parked for 20 minutes according to my phone location history, and I showed it to him. Between the charging and getting dressed and undressed was still total 20 minutes. He then asked me to leave a tip? For the person giving me a non-massage? As for the massage, this is exactly what we needed. I love it when the massage hits hard so I requested that and I felt all the knots loosen up. Very nice place! The massage was great. We did a couples massage. They did a full body massage, facial massage, and foot scrub and massage. They do have male masseuses. Also, it's a mix of pressure. My SO said his was perfect with some hard moments, but I prefer deeper and harder massages so I loved it. (Wish it was more time of deep tissue) They gave us little waters after. Very nice place also, it's calming. Just do note that it's not sound proof. We had two rude people come in loud and laughing interrupting our moments of peace.
