He also teaches some exercises at the end of the session to help with pain relief. At first, I was shocked a bit by the prices but there are packages that help to reduce the cost. Recently, we had an issue with another NOW location after a massage appointment was cancelled during a stressful emergency involving a chemical spill and mandatory evacuation orders near our home. Even though we cancelled through the app within the required timeframe, that location still removed our credits. After the situation was escalated, the Long Beach team stepped in and handled it with professionalism and care. A team member Brianna contacted us, apologized, listened to what happened, and let us know they would take care of us. That response meant a lot. She let us know that the GM/Owner Jaime knows who we are as long time members. Booking was easy and I did like that you can pay in advance online. You can select if you prefer a male or female masseuse and which type of massage you want and the duration. Upon arriving I was given some cucumber water while waiting. My masseuse met with me before to talk about where to focus and preference. I told him I wanted it hard and to focus only on upper back, neck and shoulders. My massage started off pretty soft and I had to ask him twice to go harder. He also didn't really get in there and it definitely was not deep tissue. It was relaxing but my home massager probably does a better job honestly. I've also had much better massages for half the price elsewhere. The massage "rooms" are divided up by fabric. They're still pretty private but you need to stay quiet with your masseuse. The staff is really nice and my masseuse was nice as well. I just wish he hit the spots I needed. After the massage I was given more water and checking out was easy since I had already paid. If you can save your time and money, please do so. This chain focuses on making money, not on treating customers. The manager also said that they wouldn't refund my membership if I canceled it. This is a way to steal customers' money and time. It's very unfortunate that this is how they treat customers. They don't understand that it's our time and money, not theirs.
