This was my first time at this restaurant, and it was a terrible experience--mainly due to the service. The food was delicious, but the service was awful! I felt discriminated against by the staff. There was a woman wearing glasses and headphones who took my order while talking on the phone. Aside from taking the order and bringing the food, I received no service whatsoever. After she got my order wrong and served the wrong dish, she actually questioned *me*, implying *I* was the one who had made the mistake--excuse me? When she took the food back to the kitchen, I even heard her say, "use this to remake" (referring to the incorrect dish)--is that right? When she brought out my dessert, she just set it down in front of me without saying a word. Later, another customer arrived, and I clearly sensed discrimination. She treated him with great service and patience--even chatting with him--yet when she walked past my table after serving him, she didn't even ask if everything was okay; she just walked right by. Here for an updated review! This place takes every nickel and dime from customers. The service was not good either. Waitresses are not friendly, they just take your order and go. My family and I have been to this place many, many times and have never had an automatic gratuity fee added and it was for a table of FIVE people! I have never heard of an automatic gratuity fee for 5 people, only 6 or more people. Also, the automatic 3.5% credit card fee is absurd. They are picking apart my wallet. Yes, the food is good. I usually am excited to eat here, but after this experience with a rude waitress, automatic gratuity fee for FIVE people, and an added credit card fee, I don't know if I will be coming back. We been here many times and had no issues. We always been here with four people and never charge an automatic gratitude because we had four people. Most places will do that if you have 5 or more people. Food wasn't the same, pricey and smaller portions. This lady wasn't the same one that's always there. This lady here this day was very strict. Mind you we had two adults and two kids. Most places don't count kids. Well this place does. Keep this in mind when you bring your kids. I had to asked her twice you include kids? I understand if the kid is like a teenager not a young kid. There are better Thai restaurants than this with better price, service and food. Honestly, the food didn't look as good, lacked color and such but didn't taste horrible. The drunken noodles lacked flavor and wasn't spicy, and the wings were disappointing. We thought the wings would've been tossed in a sauce but instead, it was served on the side, like a honey based sauce that wasn't spicy as stated on the menu either. Overall, everything was ok. Decided to try out a new spot and was surprised by how great everything was. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food came out quick. The wings had to be the best I've had in a long time, seasoned to perfection and fried just right. I had a hard time choosing entrees because everything sounded so grand, but I went with the Drunkin spicy noodles and loved every bite. The orange chicken was also great! I have been to this place many times and don't remember when I had an issue. The automatic gratitude charge when you have four or more people is ridiculous. Almost all the places I have been to have that automatic gratitude charge when your party is six or more. And I can attest to the other poster about counting kids as well. Really? Little kids? Will they start counting babies too? Then there's the charge if you want use your credit card. Sure many places have a fee now but not like what they are charging. Moreover the food was average. Not sure what happened either they changed ownership or this place has just gone down hill. Price wise is up as well. One of the hidden gems of the westbank! I could literally eat the beef salad everyday! (Warning: it is very spicy!) The beef salad is the perfect go to for me when I want a lot of protein but dont want anything heavy thats going to make me feel like crap after. They are generous with the meat so that its enough to fill you up but not make you too full, you can always add rice to it if you want more carbs! The pineapple rice was flavored perfectly. Enough pineapple flavor so you know it's pineapple fried rice, but not too much where its over powering. Coconut soup was very good! Be careful with, what i think is bamboo shoots. I had to spit some out because it was too tuff like sugar cane. Service is very good! I've only been once so far, but they seem to recognize their regulars, because they knew what my friend wanted before he even ordered. We love this little Thai restaurant on the Westbank. It's just off Belle Chasse Highway at the side of the Winn-Dixie shopping center. I've only eaten inside a handful of times. We usually get food to go - at least we have in the last two years due to the pandemic. Note: the restaurant is small but cozy and welcoming. I really cannot rave about this place enough. It's a bit of a trip not too far over the bridge onto the West Bank but really worth it. The portions are large. The food is delicious. See it feels good clean. We had several dishes beyond pineapple, jasmine rice, the shrimp noodles, the stirfry, the shrimp, salad, bowl, the spring rolls, and the fried noodles with spicy sauce. This food is so good! I was looking for a thai restaurant that was still open around 8 PM and I stumbled upon this place. I had the red curry and the drunken noodles. Both are delicious and those were the best drunken noodles I've ever had! That dish was even great the next day as a leftover meal! I didn't love the red curry as much. There's not a lot of traditional Thai restaurants around here so I'm very glad to have tried this place out. There weren't a lot of updated reviews so I was hesitant on going. After coming here, it's just best to always go try it and not rely of reviews sometimes! With that being said here is what I ordered. I enjoyed everything and will be coming here again to get my Thai food fix! Pad Thai- with wide noodles & shrimp and no spice. It was on the sweeter side which I didn't mind. The shrimp was so plump and juicy. It was cooked perfectly. I order my pad Thai with wide noodles bc I love the bite of it. I think the pad Thai was a little sweeter than I'm used too because I had no spice added to it ( I did mild since the rest of the dishes were medium.. I think I will do medium spice next time!) Panang Curry- medium spice- it was a nice subtle Curry. The green beans added a nice refreshing crunch to it. My favorite kind is yellow curry which I haven't tried here yet but the panang was still tasty. Papaya Salad- medium spice- I'm so used to Lao style papaya salad that this one was a surprising dish to me. It was on the sweeter side which led me to believe it was- thai -style . It was paired well with the peanuts and was so delicious. I've been craving papaya salad and it hit the spot. Larb- medium spice- with beef. It was delicious as well. Nice, salty, and tasty. I can't really describe it but I definitely would recommend as well. Thai tea- I usually don't order Thai tea bc of how sweet it can be but they made it perfect and not overly sweet. Delish. There's a few options for pad thai on the westbank so I started my quest here at jasmine rice thai cuisine.l because their pad thai starts at $13.95 and had orange chicken as their starred entree. Made an pick up order at 7:15pm and was told it was ready in 15 minutes. Pad Thai: 3/5 It's a huge amount for $14. The noodles seems over cooked and stuck together. I always wish pad Thai protein, chicken in this case, had more texture. It always seems to be missing that sear. Like Gordon Ramsay says, no color, no flavor. But I have yet to see a Thai place do this. The noodles needed more sauce. 3/5 doesn't mean bad, it was more average and I was able to continue eating. I later found out that the sauce I was lacking was on the bottom. Perhaps I should have mixed it up a bit, but that would have been hard given the over-cooked stuck noodles. I will continue my search for better pad Thai. Orange Chicken 2/5 For being a star entree on their menu and charging $16.95, I had high expectations for this dish. The texture was a let down and was not crunchy at all. The sauce fault like it had a cashew nut flavor. Overall, I was disappointed and would prefer orange chicken from Panda Express. read more

Place is authentic and reminds me of a place back in MS that I love. I wanted Pad Thai and Nam Tok and tom yum soup but only got Pad Thai because I wasn't that hungry. This place is located in a shopping center and family owned. The service was great. The crab rangoon were so cute! It is a little different than I imagine though but still good. I think it was missing something but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. The Pad Thai came out STEAMING and we did fried rice to for the bf. He is a picky eater and allergic to seafood so it is a little hard to eat many Asian dishes that may involve fish sauce or oyster sauce. I know it really sucks when we go to eat hahah just kidding.
