Went to this Sonic at 10:00 p.m. when they close at 11 and couldn't get anyone to answer the drive thru. We went to check the window and saw a couple of employees trying to hide from us so they didn't have to do their job. We live in Anthem. We just finished a nice neighborhood bike ride and figured we would get a drink at the local Sonic. We of course went in to wash our hands first and I of course went into the women's bathroom and the pictures of toilet and sink should not be as such at 1015am in the morning. As a former restaurant GM, it is unacceptable. Also on a side note we only ordered drinks and not food because of the condition and inattention of the staff. We had to ask someone to help us while the manager was interviewing. My husband mentioned the men's urinal was out of order and the bathroom smelled. We grabbed a quick dinner here last night. I must admit we were a bit apprehensive because of the marginal Yelp ratings. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was attractive and clean. It was our first experience at a Sonic that did not offer curb service, just dine-in and drive-thru. The food was not gourmet, but hey...it's a fast food place. Went back today and actually went inside. Grossssss. Place was nasty. Bathroom had vomit in the sink and the toilet was unusable (I'll save you the details). This location seems to always be a disappointment. We live here in Anthem so we tried out this Sonic because it was close to home but our visit was terrible. All of the food we ordered was ice cold and you could tell by the taste of the fries the fry oil was dirty and needed to be changed. We went back to give them another try but experienced the same issues. If your looking to eat Sonic don't eat at the one in Anthem. Its the worth the drive to the Sonic in Deer Valley so you can get fresh food! read more

About the only thing this place did ok at, was having a relatively clean dining area. All my other issues, have been reported to their corporate office and Maricopa County, I don't need to place them on here. I would caution anyone going here to pay close attention that their food is properly handled and fully cooked. More than half our group ended up getting sick. Waiting more than an hour for food because the employees lacked the ability to manage orders properly and to properly cook the food is disappointing. Its sad that we all looked forward to going to this location from Phoenix for the indoor seating, only to leave thinking it was the worst place we could have all met to eat at. So we won't be back and I doubt Sonic will be brought up as an idea in the future. I do hope my report to corporate and to food safety with Maricopa County helps this place get more in line with regulations and company policy. Lots of improvement needs to be made. read more

I've been to this location twice now and both times was severely disappointed. The floor is sticky all over the place, the table we sat at was super sticky and so were the other ones around us even though they all had marks on them from being wiped down. The employees don't seem to pay too much attention to who's ordering what and the food is just okay. The burgers are slapped together without care, the sodas are constantly flat, etc. If you want sonic, please go to another location. I had 2 orders of mozzarella sticks and an extra marinara sauce, our food came with no marinara despit paying extra for it, and my limeades have come without any lime flavor the past few times as well. Pretty decent food and the best service I've ever been treated with a fast food restaurant in my whole life. I went there last Friday to get food for me and my whole family. I was stunned when I found that all the food and drinks were correct that I had ordered. The boy who talked to me over the intercom and took out my order was so sweet and he deserved that $10 tip. Sonic is one of the options you can choose if your looking for a quick and easy bite here in Anthem, like any other fast food establishment this place offers cheap and average fast food meals. While like many other fast food establishments you can choose from this one seems to have a lack of employees at its disposal, so when it starts to get packed don't expect a fast response from the employees. The employees that work here are very kind and are task oriented making sure that your here just to pick up some fast food and leave, not waisting any time. I myself have never experienced any problems with my food here, or how they prepare my order, I'm only giving this establishment a 3/5 because of the lack of employees working there, this usually isn't a issue because it's hardly ever crowded here.
