Our drive up machine is not working & he came to save the day in minutes & was patient enough to bring us condiments. I like to call corporate or managers when someone is stepping up without throwing team member under the bus. He is professional without overdoing it or with that sarcastic tone. Shout out to the staff for coming out in the snow (but not in roller skates? Just kidding) to bring us our food! I absolutely love Sonic - I think the idea is extremely clever and likely has changed American drive-thru's forever. I'm not sure if all Sonic's allow you to pay at the machine, but this one does and it's awesome. The person behind the mic was also so friendly - I had forgotten that combo's include milkshakes and he had told us he would make our's a combo to make it cheaper. Their milkshakes are also so thick but so delicious with whipped cream and a cherry! The hot fudge tastes like a basic chocolate milkshake, but in my opinion there's nothing wrong with that. I also love their chili cheese tater tots and cheeseburgers and their Coney hot dog. Not that any of this is gourmet, but if you've been on the road for a while and you need a pit stop but it's awfully cold and snowing out and you don't even wanna run for the door, Sonic works out perfectly. "Holy **** there's a Sonic!" I exclaimed to my girlfriend when I saw the Sonic logo on the highway sign. Every time I see a Sonic ad, I feel like a 5 year old watching Saturday morning toy ads - being teased by the unobtainable. We're bombarded with Sonic ads back home, yet there's no Sonic within ~100 miles. So, there was *no* doubt we were stopping there. Pulled in to the slot, hemmed and hawed about what to get, and finally settled on a burger, tots, and a peanut butter fudge shake. OOOHHHH MOMMA. I could feel my moobs growing already! Food arrived......... cold. Yes, cold. Mind you, this wasn't at an odd time, it was ~6pm. My burger patty tasted like it sat in the steam tray for a couple of hours. Bun was borderline stale. Tater tots cold, mushy. Shake, while correct, was meh. This was at 6pm..... shouldn't that be a dinner rush? Freshest foods? Girlfriend's food was cold too. On top of this, our orders were wrong. My girlfriend's about 80% wrong, mine about 30% wrong. OK, that's enough. If this is "Sonic good", then they can keep it. Asked for the manager, who was Mike that night, and he was very understanding. He started by offering to make new food (no thanks), then offered a refund which we accepted. For some reason, I really enjoy Sonic even though I fear most fast food and know how bad it would be for my general health and physique if I ate it more than occasionally. I think would always recommend getting Sonic's corn dogs. They're uniquely good and they have promos from time to time that price them as low as 50 cents each, but more frequently 99 cents each. Sonic had a most amazing promotion during which they were selling "Boom Boxes" (get it?? Sonic Boom..) for $5 over this past summer. They were an awesome full meal deal that included a fancy hot dog all dressed up and topped, a burger, a drink and tots. Oh, how I miss those days. Another menu item I strongly recommend are their jalapeño poppers. So good. They're not at all spicy since all of the seeds have been removed, but they're delicious. The service is always friendly, but sometimes gets the orders wrong. If you stay there to eat, they're happy to rectify any mistakes. If you're not staying there, take a minute to check your order or play the game of food roulette. You may view it as a Japanese omakase sort of experience where the kitchen decides what you are served and your initial order was merely an opinion that you expressed, but was vetoed by the powers that be. read more

For starters...they don't follow the hours they list online. I'll show up here when it says it's open and turns out they are closed. Then when they are open, half the time they don't have what I'm trying to order...but it's never the same thing. It's weird, one day they're out of hotdogs when I order a hotdog, next week they ice cream machine is down when I want an ice cream. The food is low quality, the service is brutally slow. This place is so disorganized even pre Covid. Every time I've tried to order here by myself or with friends/family who don't have sonic by them its a nightmare. They are always out of most of there menu so good luck ordering. Tonight I waited in the drive thru and they said they were out of shakes and ice cream. Another time it was there system was down for 45 minutes and like stated before you order and it's always that they are out of something. Went here about a year ago, and this was/is one of the worst places we've ever been to. Extremely unsanitary and the good looked no where near as good as the foods pictured. Also, Cherry Lime Ade's are the bomb and make sure to try Molten Cake sundaes ! To make it even better, each order comes with a mint candy. Overall not that great for a Sonic, other locations definitely have a better quality of food. My sonic burger was barely warm when it came to me, along with slightly burned cheddar poppers (at least they were heated throughout) and iced tea that was slightly more sweet than I've been used to. The slowest service I have ever received from any "fast food" restaurant I've ever been to in my life, on MULTIPLE occasions. Coming from someone who used to work at Wendys where they literally record the drive-thru time and strive to make it as fast as possible (yet neglect customers dining in) I could not believe this place is still in business! Many times it has taken close to a half hour to receive food in the drive thru, and we were the only car there! My first visit to Sonic was the result of avoiding an enormous cluster of standstill highway traffic and the catlike agility of a very forgiving minivan. Sonic has been advertising in this region for close to a decade, but it was not until the past few years that any were actually built. First, some commentary. Sonic's faux-retro business model caters to a car-based culture. Though many of us are wholly dependent on cars for transportation, it seems quite strange to use them as a dining room. This was probably a real thrill in the 1950's when cars started to take off, but today it just seems like a gratuitous throwback. The parking lot is not designed well considering they force their employees to wear roller skates. Sure, there is a small walk-up area with limited outdoor seating and a drive-through for people on the go, but unless you enjoy eating in your car - and I don't see why anyone would - you will find this place to be quite limiting. In the winter, dining "al auto" will be the only option since there is no indoor seating. The food itself gets two stars for typical fast food adequacy. The hot dog, burger melt and tater tots were all pretty close to expectations, with the exception being that nothing was actually served at an appropriate temperature. Warm, at best. The onion rings tasted like they were coated in pulverized Honey-Comb cereal. The most remarkable thing about the menu is the extensive drink selection. I had my eye on the "Ocean Water" (a berry/coconut drink...I think) until I realized it was actually bright blue in color. Instead I opted for an unsweetened raspberry tea - possibly the highlight of my meal. So why only one star? Aside for my distaste for the concept and the mediocre food, by themselves worth a two star review, there is a glaring issue at this location that would definitely steer my business in another direction if again given the chance. The bathrooms. Or should I say, bathroom. The restroom designated for men was shut down. I can't imagine what it looked like, as the restroom designated for women was in absolutely deplorable, filthy, third-world condition. Empty toilet roll holder with a questionable roll perched on a handicap railing. The hand-dryer was encased in dried soap scum from the dispenser above it, probably two years worth since that's how long the place has been around. The floor was several shades darker due to caked/smeared filth. The door lock was broken. If the bathroom is this dirty, I can't begin to imagine what the other restroom looked like - or for that matter, the kitchen. "How does this place stay in business?" I live here and have avoided this place due to amazingly non-existant service and incorrect orders, but I had a hungry out of town guest and we were shopping near there. Pulled into a space & pressed the button. .....nothing. Waited, saw an employee come out, chased her across the lot to ask if there was a problem with the speaker & she said no-they TRY to take orders within 5-10 minutes & I should go to the car & wait. (it had already been 10 min!) By then the drive through was empty, so I pulled in...and waited at the speaker. By this time I HAD to know how long this so-called fast food would take, so I sat there for another 20 min while car after car waited behind me, gave up & left without even ordering. By this time it was getting cold & boring, so we left also. My passenger, who was seeing this through fresh eyes sat there figuring out how much business they threw away-a low estimate of $5 in sales lost for each prospective customer certainly adds up! Every time one left we said "there goes five bucks!" It was funny to us, but if I owned this poor excuse for a franchise I don't think I'd be laughing, and if I'm Sonic's main office I'm sure I would be upset by the reviews left here-same complaints over & over, for as long as this location has been open! If you are here, you are in the middle of a big concentration of soulless corporate eateries, and a number of excellent local establishments-go to one of them! I was so excited to finally get a chance to try Sonic. I always saw the commercials on tv and it looks yummy. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Everything we ordered they said they ran out. We wanted crispy chicken, but all they had was grilled chicken. It was grilled chicken in two pieces of bread. Bland and boring. We wanted onion rings. They ran out and gave us tater tots instead. Their fries were not hot and basically tasted liked it was microwaved. The drinks were ok though some were drenched in syrup and the others were lacking. I have been going to Sonic up in Easton, pa which was always great. I was excited when a new sonic opened closer to me but what a huge disappointment they are!! My first time there I ordered a coconut cream pie shake they gave me the wrong one they refused to acknowledge that they got the shake wrong. My second time I bought a hamburger now it wasn't busy when I ordered the burger and when I paid and got the burger it was cold so never again if I want Sonic I will drive to the better one obviously! read more

Here's the thing: I love Sonic's food; I just don't like this Sonic in particular. I'm not sure why but they ALWAYS get my order wrong. Every. Single. Time. Honestly, it's gotten so annoying that I've just stopped coming here altogether. And no, I didn't go with a large family or anything- just me and the BF.
