Our waitress was great, but the food was mediocre. We wanted dinner food, but should have just had pizza. The calamari was different but we enjoyed it. My husband ordered chicken parm and we had to send it back. The chicken was chewy and inedible. I ordered the chicken Francese which was okay. That chicken was cooked fine. My family and I were in Jim Thorpe for the day for some sightseeing, and we wanted a quick and light lunch. I'm not sure why there are so many mixed reviews on this place because we had a great experience. When we visited, there was only one person (the owner, I presume) doing everything, as his server was not there that day. He was taking to-go orders in person and by phone from the kitchen, waiting on tables in the back, and preparing all of the food. Nevertheless, he was very kind and welcoming. We ordered a few slices at the counter and took our seats in the back. Our slices came out a few minutes later. We had a couple of bacon chicken ranch slices, as well as a few others. They were all very good. This place has much better-than-average pizza. You can't beat a delicious lunch for four for about $20. read more

11/10/23 Of course since my cell phone service blows I couldn't do a check in when I was here at Antonio's. I've been to Jim Thorpe many times and have seen their pizza in the window. My friend and I were looking to find something fast because we had to keep feeding the damned parking meter- that's a whole other issue)! We decided on this little place- it's actually bigger than I expected and there is a dining room in the back. The dining room is old and run down so if you don't mind no frills - this is your place. We ordered a small pizza and it was savory and tasty. I do have a couple gripes though- our server never checked back with us after we got our food and the dining room wasn't crowded at all. The other gripe was no fountain drinks?? You have to order by the can and that equals no free refills. When you ask for water- you get bottled water- another upsell. This was the first place we stopped to grab a bite to eat before boarding the train ride. We ordered a plain medium cheese pizza. It came out fresh and hot. There's no fountain soda. You can buy bottled or canned drinks. Our waiter was nice. He was prompt taking our order and bringing us our food. The restaurant is tiny. Once you enter the building, there's a narrow hall to get back to the seating area. I would have eaten here again over China Garden but they were closed Thanksgiving day and Black Friday. Pleasantly situated on Broadway, Antonio's seemed like a legit spot to get a slice, as evidenced by the neon sign and pies in the front window. I can only speak to the NY style pizza here, and it was good! Was greeted right away by cashier, ordered a couple of slices to go. Pretty tight at front of store, small kitchen, but seemingly efficient. Dine in area at rear. Slices were great-just the right amount of flop, slight crunch, sweet sauce, but not over sweet. The food here is good and worth the price, no complaints. My only complaint would be to update their store hours because I drove 20 minutes down into town, parked my car and walked up to a sign on the door stating they are closed on WEDNESDAYS. Food was good but the cheese kept falling off. Service was horrible and rude. Asked why we needed more plates and napkins. She was also on her phone the whole time and was very rude. We waited an hour for our tiny pizza. She didn't even say hi to us, she just asked what we wanted. She acts like she hates her job. The chef was cooking without gloves. First off, place is disgusting. They think they can get away with it since theres little to no competition. This being a pizza place, we ordered 2 pizzas. When the waitress brought the pizza out, you couldn't even grab it. It fell apart everywhere. We asked them to cook it more so you know...one can actually grab the pizza and eat it. My husband and I visited this restaurant during the fall festival after taking a steam train to Jim Thorpe. We chose Antonio's because the line to get in didn't seem too long. The food was very good, but the lines to use the restroom and to pay were outrageously long! 45 minutes to pay the bill?! The line for take out and bill paying was the same line! People got fed up with the long wait and just threw down cash and walked out. They really need to figure out how to handle large crowds better. read more

Nothing was bad per se, but it didn't stand out either. Basically it's kind of like a greasy spoon typos diner, just with a pizza parlor focus. The food is all reasonably priced, and the service was merely okay. Somewhat attentive at first, and then trailing off as time went by. Our Local favorite! Love to run in and grab the BEST pizza and wings! The wings are crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Just enough spice in the mild sauce! After doing the fall foliage train ride, we were both very hungry. Hubby wanted a pizza so after my wonderful bento lunch, we came here to get his pizza. He ordered a large to go and while waiting for the pizza we decided to walk up on the beautiful small street. After about 30 min, it was time to pick it up. Hubby asked if he could sit at the dining area which was empty to have the pizza that he bought from their own place but the guy (owner?) rudely told him that since he ordered to go, he can't eat there! It's understandable if the place was packed or god forbids if we were eating outside food but it's the pizza that he had just made and handed over to us. His horrible attitude and treatment of us was rather shocking until I read the other real reviews here. To make matter worse, the pizza wasn't even good.
