Went to sonic tonight 8pm on a Friday. Two of the menu "red" buttons did not work so after moving spots twice we found one working. Took our order with no sort of appreciation or customer service. It didn't take too long for our food however the guy who brought it out told us "they are totally out of ranch" - I wanted some for my tater tots. Also did not thank me or even acknowledge the tip I handed him, just took it and left. Got back to the hotel to find out my tater tots were 1/2 full and my daughters fries were 2/3 full. I realize it's hard to find help but I would gladly pay more for better service. This was terrible, we won't be back. Too many other places to choose from. read more

We didn't have unreasonable expectations and were still disappointed. Our food took significantly longer than a typical sonic run and was cold by the time we got it. The tater tots and fries were burned and gross. The onion rings were, thankfully, delicious. Went here for breakfast and I was very impressed by the cheese pull from my mozzarella sticks! The toast on my breakfast sandwich however was burnt and they actually gave me the heel of the loaf. There aren't a lot of places around here that are open past 10 pm but this chain is. So one evening when I was out late and had eaten a late lunch and wasn't hungry at a normal dinner time, I stopped in here after 11-ish for a bite. I got a Foot Long Chili Dog special for $2.99 (with onions), a small Tater Tots, a small cherry slushie, and a small coffee to save and reheat in my motel room the next mornig. That cheap hot dog was delicious. The Tater Tots were freakin' awesome! And I don't even like Tater Tots. But these were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just enough oil to help it crunch with a wonderful texture. I know Sonic isn't a typical fast food place - you never go inside - but still, the employees need to be a little more cognizant of the fact that we can still see what you are doing. Stopped there for lunch today and was parked in a stall right outside the door. I watched (after I had received and eaten my food) one of the guys that works there bring a bag of trash outside and set it down by the door. Then I watched as he went and got another bag and did the same thing. Not a minute later, he came out the door with a tray of food in his hands to deliver to a car. Hmmmm... enough time to wash your hands or no? Also, why put the trash right by the door instead of taking it to the dumpster? Which was a few feet away, and he's on roller skates! It's not like he even had to walk there. Right before I left, I watched a girl come out and walk right by the two bags of trash to go have a cigarette. Where she proceeded to stand right next to the dumpster. Hello? Take the trash with you maybe? The food was good - no complaints there. The customer service over the intercom was HORRIBLE. The girl at the window was pleasant and tentative which is the only reason I give 2 stars. I orders a #2 and got a #1. I asked for fries and was given tots. And the chili tasted burnt. The girl over the intercom sounded like she did not want to be there and could care less continued to cut me off instead of listening to my order. At the end she read my order back and immediately said "have a good day" in a careless tone didn't even ask if she had everything correct. I hate doing reviews for stupid fast food restaurants but when I do it's cause they suck. The workers here are nice people but damn they are horrible at their jobs. You'd think it was everyone's first day at this location. I had to repeat my order 4 times for them to get it. They got it correct on my ticket, but the food was completely messed up, like not edible. When bringing up my problem that my food isn't even edible, they offered me a popcorn chicken with a drink bruh, I paid over $20 for food that I can't even eat and y'all offer me a popcorn chicken with a drink? I'm not asking for a $1,000 gift card. Just gimme my money back or offer me the same meal I purchased for your mistakes. This is how businesses fail. Would give this place zero stars, but had to give one star in order to write review. Went to this location on a Monday night at 10 o'clock ordered a large diet. Cherry limeade was told that when ordering this location was out of certain items, none of them were drinks or the limeade's. I told the girl in the corral that I want and a large diet cherry limeade I paid with card at the booth and watched as the menu told me that my order was being prepared that it was in the kitchen, that it was finishing up, and that the order was being brought out to me. the screen told me at 10:05 that my order was being brought out to me. At 10:30 I have not received my drink. I waited an additional 10 minutes, then press the red button and asked what the holdup was on the drink I was told that my drink would be brought out to me immediately. 10 more minutes went by and finally the manager came out Michaela. When I asked what took so long, Michaela said that they were out of everything and that they had a lot of online orders. I asked Michaela who the manager was and she instructed me that she was the manager. And that she would refund my three dollar drink. I asked her who the area/regional manager was and she refused to give me the name. She told me that the girl that was supposed to breed my order out. Her name was Ashanti. I asked Michaela once again who is her manager and she refused again to tell me. She did say she would refund my three dollars for the almost hour wait on one drink. I asked her for my receipts and, she refused to give me my receipts. After asking her once again if I could have my receipt for my order, she then said here and threw the receipt at me. After reading everyone else's review I can see it not just me. Waited for 10 plus minutes for customer in front of me at drive thru. I pull up only ordered a single chocolate milk shake. Waited 5, 10, 15, all I heard was laughing and carrying on inside, as another review stated adds all over drive up window so can't see in no one came to window to take money or acknowledge I was even there. I drove away thinking if I ran my business like this I would soon be out of customers. Shut the doors to this absolutely terrible franchise location. I would have said fire the manager but judging by all the terrible reviews the owner of the store must not care, because nothing is fixed yet. Just pulled in ready to order when and employee was taking out the trash. He went to the dumpster lifted the lid and threw the trash inside. Wheeled the trash can inside the door and stood there pulling trash bags off the roll while chatting with co workers. We observed a solid 5 minutes before we pulled away not willing to risk him not washing his hands while handling our food. Perhaps he needs a refresher in food handling? We won't be back. read more

I understand fast food chains are "busy", but as a paying customer I would like my order correct. I've patron this Sonic's on Ray Road and Chandler twice and both times they've gotten my order wrong, (me not knowing until I got to work that it was wrong). Second time 5/17/22 the lady at the window tried to short change me and not give me all my money back. The first time I didn't not call nor complain about the order but THIS time I had tried to call and complain but no one answered the phone. I was not giving a receipt nor was it taped to the bag as it usually is, so I truly do not know what I was charged for but I do know that it wasn't right and it cost me $7.87 for an ultimate Super Sonic Burrito that was nothing but a plenty of onions, tomato, jalapenos, and only 2 tater tots. NO MEAT WHATSOEVER! It's truly ridiculous that you pay money for something AND expect it and not get it and to think that when you're trying to contact them so they can rectify it BUT no one answers the phone. THIS PLACE GOT SO BAD/: i used to love coming here with my family because it is so close to the house and it's freaking sonic. NOW the CHILDREN AND LAZY ASS WORKERS make this place TRASH. beyond unacceptable. i literally am now going to drive farther, to a different sonic, to get better customer service and food. one time, me and my fiancé went there to get ice cream and when we tasted it, it was like the ice cream wasn't blended? there were chunks of this white powder of some sort - i got sick to my stomach and couldn't eat it anymore. then a more recent time, i went here with my friend and we decided to order on the app bc it was cheaper. so we did that, mind you, my friend got drinks...DRINKS. and it said "Ishawn is on the way". was Ishawn on the way? no, Ishawn was not. THEN when i placed my order, it said someone else was coming..and was someone coming...NO. i was very confused because my friend had DRINKS...how hard/long does it take to make those? NOT LONG. so since my friends DRINKS have not arrived yet she decided to press the red button and call whoever wasn't working back there. she called them...they answered like it was a new customer, my friend asked why is it taking so long?, THIS GIRL HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY "Ma'am we're busy" you're busy? you had 1 car in the drive through and 3 cars in the stalls(that were already there when we arrived). Then my friend also asked, why does it say someone is coming with our order, and no one comes? Drive through at times can take longer than your usual fast food restaurant. Service is ok as is food menu. The mozzarella sticks are my favorite food items. The slushees come in a ton of different flavors. I prefer the cherry limeade slush. read more

I love Sonic drive-ins and have eaten at Sonic all my life. Today I stopped in to pick up a supersonic cheese burger and tots. Got home, I'm sitting on the couch enjoying my burger...which was really great until...I had eaten nearly half of the burger when I bit into the tomatoes and at first thought it was just a stringy tomato until as I was pulling it out of my mouth...to my realization the stringy thing i had bitten into was actually a blonde hair. YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!!! Since my head is shaved and the hair was in the middle of the burger, it could have only gotten into my burger while it was being prepared. Had it not been for the hair, this would have been 4 stars. read more

Sonic. Never had it until I went to AZ. So..they have everything. Burgers, sandwiches, wraps, coneys (what?), salads, smoothies, breakfast items, a billion sides, desserts, and numerous beverage choices. Everyone raves about the tater tots, so I ordered them. Yeah, they were....tater tots....a lot of...tater tots. Don't get me wrong, they were good, but....they were tater tots. I think the Cherry Limeade is where it's at. I'm a sucker for the little marachino cherries in my beverages. Reminds me of "kiddie cocktails." The peach tea is also delicious, as is the slushes. There's one thing I didn't understand about this place: They sell bags of ice through the drive-thru. Now, someone help me out....Is that standard for all Sonics? Or, is it because it's Arizona and it's 19,000 degrees? Just curious. read more

Five stars for a fast food place? Hell yea. This is pretty much the only fast food place (other than In-N-Out) that people actually like instead of eating at strictly for convenience. (That said, it's still fast food.) You can either drive thru, order in your car, or eat outside on picnic style tables. The kids meals make for a great snack (who doesn't like a free toy?) and the coneys are ahead of their time as far as AZ is concerned. The real killer, of course, is the huge variety of drinks, slushies, etc. If you go during happy hour you can get a whole crowd of people large drinks for just a couple of bucks. Don't go expecting fantastic food, but do go in lieu of just about any other fast food place. read more

I went to this location after work last Friday and I wish I didn't. The food came out and while I ate it, I knew there was something off but, I was starving and ate it anyways.. I had the chicken strip basket (Spicy) and the fries were cold and the chicken was a light grey color. I also had an oreo blast that looked as if there was half an oreo mixed in and I basically had a vanilla shake with a spoon. Well, about 20 minutes later I get home and I am violently ill until about 3am the next morning, It was absolutely terrible. I got food poisoning from this place and three days later I still feel ill. I will never go back to this place. read more

Terrible Sonic, I went during happy hour which states online that slushee drinks are in fact part of happy hour only to be told by the employee that our drinks were not. The employee also verified with the Manager. The Manager has the audacity to be dishonest and said that only soft drinks were a part of happy hour, I believe she was too LAZY to fix it on the ticket! I have patronized this location 3 times in the past year.AND I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN....EVERYTHING I ORDERED WAS INCORRECT ... $ 23.00 TO FEED 3 KIDS.
