I've seen Pop's on social media for some time, but just recently made it to the store myself. It's exactly as presented on TikTok! It's a small store with a changing variety of goods. We had some kids with us and they had a blast checking everything out. Cookie the dog stayed out of the way but enjoyed some pets. Pop let us know when we picked anything with an especially high price, and that if there was anything we were looking for specifically, let him know and he'd try to get it in. Fun shop to browse and some nostalgic items. I got an Idaho Spud candy bar, which I'd loved on a trip to Idaho as a kid. As an adult, not so much! Ha! But was fun to try again. read more

This guy is a joke he is rude, and his products are over priced. Not a good place. The way he pushes the energy drinks is ridiculous.

Unique little spot. I actually tried to come here like a year ago but couldn't find it and wasn't feeling patient so I drove off haha. Had better directions this time from Google maps I think. This place is small and was filled with boxes when I went so they must've had some new products in. They are pretty pricey, you can get cheaper unique snacks from places like Cutie. My husband likes hi chews so I got him a new flavor to try and also got a flavor mixed warhead taffy for us to try. Also I was greeted by an adorable dog here. First thought walking in was how much of a mess it was. 5 boxes open on the floor while the cashier was watching a movie. I took my young kids in and the movie was loud saying pussy and other derogatory words. Not a single item in the store was marked with a price and some items were expensive like $15 for a drink. If theyre going to be that much label them. I tried to be friendly with the dog in the store and it wanted nothing to do with me which is fine but he was on guard. One of my kids thought the office was an extension of the store and started to go in and the dog growled at him. Sorry but my kids have been attacked by dogs before and this pissed me off bad. I will never return to this store. Tried to bring all of these issues up to the owner but he didn't care. read more

People may have different backgrounds and you may perceive their presence as off putting. I get it. My friend who I brought felt the same way but after rationally thinking it thru, they were the ones with the negative connotation from the start. Been to pops twice now. Small shop. But welcoming in the same. Check out his Instagram, lots of cool things features and a nice way to stay up to date on things he is getting in. On my first visit I was told, "if there's anything out there you want and can't find, let me know and we will try to get it in". A worker was kinda rude I felt unwelcomed and I wanted a recommendation but all I was told was "I don't know we have a lot of stuff", I would come back but definitely would need more money next time because it's very pricey in my opinion but I would definitely have staff wearing a mask and cleaning up too. I went in today and the shop touched on all trending Japanese snacks and drinks! Reasonable prices NOT EXPENSIVE... got a rude awakening when I went to their competitor, desert snacks and drinks where they sell a soda from $12-$15 bucks... most drinks at Pops are $5 bucks. I'll be a regular. Owner is cool and informative and mentioned he's always looking for the latest snack and to let him know if I see something that he doesn't have he'll definitely try and get it. I came in looking for a spicy/hot ginger bear and I had a little under a dozen for choose from (not including the ginger ale). The guy who runs the place was super chill and showed a sincere interest in learning about the foreign products I had come in looking for. Saw this shop on a viral tik tok and thought it'd be a cool experience to try some new snacks. My boyfriend and I had to file a police report last night after the owner came outside of the store accusing us of stealing a bag of chips. He came out of his store rushing towards the back seat of my car where my one month old son and 10 year old brother-in-law sat. The situation had my baby screaming because of the sudden volume and tone in everyone's voices, had my brother-in-law crying, and my own anxiety wouldn't even let me speak until Mesa police arrived. Had my boyfriend rush off of the car to settle the situation with hands because we were innocent and he was coming at BABIES. He had the nerve to show him a gun and had two females telling him that the owner would shoot him if he went into his shop again. Mind you we didn't steal a thing from this shop. We PAID for what my boyfriend and his little brother wanted. The owner came out recording us saying he was about to put us on blast for stealing. We will never be back in again. read more
