Part of me wishes that it was possible to hold the sandwich and eat it like a traditional ice cream sandwich, but I'm not complaining about all the ice cream they serve with it. The in house cookies are definitely great and compliment the ice cream well by being warm. We went straight to the back of the shop to watch the production kitchen where the gentleman was actually starting a process (what we learned later) of brittle making. Intrigued, and so satisfying to watch. They have free samples peanut brittle and pecan brittle. We both agree that this is some of the best. It's not the "bust you tooth" brittle (meant your candy got too hot), it's the airy, nice crunch, full of flavor, not too sweet, hint of burnt butter brittle. Yes, yes! They nailed it. It's the brittle you start to eat, and boom the package is done. Of course we had to get brittle, and white chocolate covered nuts, too. They sell a variety of sliced pies, milkshakes and cold drinks. I bet this is the place I will be in the summer, especially for ice cream. Their storefront has not been open long, but Grandma Cleda's been making brittle for generations. You can find out more about their story when you visit their shop.
