Boyfriend and I went here tonight, I ordered the cheese tots, popcorn chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch, and he ordered the garlic butter burger. When we went through the drive thru, we asked to have a minute to think, and then never heard from the attendant again. We asked about 4 times if she was there, saying we were ready to order, and she never spoke again. So after waiting for upwards of 5 minutes for a response, we decided to just go to the pull in spot. We ordered, paid, and within about 5 minutes it said Meya was on the way with our order. Clearly that was a lie, since we sat there waiting for our food for nearly 30 minutes!! We even pressed the button after about 20 minutes to see if we could speak to someone, but no one replied (shocker!). When we FINALLY got our food and got home, the tots barely had enough to fill the bottom of the basket, the burger was greasy and smashed looking, and they forgot my ranch. Really unsure why they were so awful tonight as I've had a handful of alright experiences here in the past, but wow, they absolutely dropped the ball tonight. If something had been going on to prevent them from bringing our food out in a timely manner, we would have understood, but we weren't even offered an explanation. Just an awkward chuckle when we said we thought they forgot about us. If you don't care about your customers as an establishment, then close your doors and go out of business. The food was also wildly mediocre, and was nowhere near the 30 minute wait, or being ignored by the staff. Bonus- none of the food in the picture is actually chicken. Just the crusty fried bits. There were, in total, about 5 actual pieces of chicken in the "jumbo popcorn chicken". The rest was this. Crispy fried bits that taste like nothing other than fry oil. read more

Ordered a footlong chili cheese coney with mustard. It took 17 minutes to make. All I got was a bun, frank, and mustard. No chili, no cheese. I called the restaurant to report it and was originally told that I did not place an order there and when I asked them if they were calling me a liar, they shoved me on hold for 6 minutes. Then another person came on and asked me if I wanted to come back when they reopened (6am) for a remake. Since I paid with a credit card, I asked for a refund. They refused to do that. I came to sonic on a bike ....to deliver an order. I asked the manager for AN EXTRA DRINK LID...to help keep the DRINK FROM LEAKING OUT OF THE SIDES. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME A LID AND SAID SHE WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE ME for another drink. I explained I just wanted to provide good customer service to her Sonic customer. ....she still refused. She does not seem to understand that a 2 cent investment is a small price to pay to provide good customer service. Let me preface by saying, as a restaurant server, I have to go above and beyond to earn every tip I make. I went to this sonic today, and a taller man with a tattoo on his left arm brought our food out. I handed him cash for the order (about a dollar and some change over because I only had 2 dollar bills on me) and he tells me he would be right back with my change. I sat and waited for about 15 minutes before going back up to the door. He comes out and tells me that I gave him more than I was supposed to. I told him I needed my change and he kept trying to argue nonsense with me. All I have to say is if you are that desperate for a tip, maybe you should consider a different line of work. Entitlement isnt a very professional trait to have in the customer service industry. If you come to this sonic make sure you get your change back. read more

Judging by the reviews, others like this place more than I. My sister in law loves it but she's not writing this review. Their million man milkshakes are good and I like the tater tots. That's about it for me. I get hot dogs here off and on. I only get them because I love hot dogs and there's no where else near me that has them. The only place I know of that has a good hotdog is about 10 miles away. I really don't enjoy their dogs but I have to do something so tamp down the craving, so I get dogs I don't particularly care for here. I don't care for their burgers either. They tore down the old Sonic and built another in exactly the same place that seems the same as before with only one major difference -- the old on didn't have a drive thru and this one does. I'm writing this much the same review to go with their much the same new store. We went by for takeout today ( which I hope is the last day of hurricane Harvey) because very few places are open. I have been here countless times and it don't matter who is on the clock they all individually and collectively as a team work harder than any other fast food chain, well maybe besides Chick-fil-A but who can compare. I was looking forward to treating my son and I to an ice cream treat. His order was fine. I ordered a cookie dough sundae. It took the employees what seemed like an extra ordinary long time to fill the order. It was long enough that I was asked twice to pay for the order by two different people. When I got my sundae it was missing the chocolate sauce. I was so frustrated that I did not turn around to have it fixed. I could see four workers in the cooking area and they seemed undirected. Never had a problem with sonics but so far this is the worst location I've ever been to. Ordered the honey BBQ boneless wings today. The chicken came out in a weird orange color compare to the darker brown color I used to get at other locations. They barely put any BBQ sauce on the chicken to even cover the whole piece. On top of that the meat was soggy and had an unpleasant taste to it. The breading was ridiculously soft and can be scratched off easily. Look and taste completely like the leftover food from yesterday. Don't order from here if you expect your food to be fresh. read more

I really want to love Sonic (but I just don't). This location is the closest to our house and was tore down and rebuilt in the last year. Today is National Hot Dog Day and almost every slot was filled and the drive-in was packed when we just randomly decided to stop in for a slushy for my daughter. Service was quick, but a little awkward, which is typically the case when I dare to try Sonic (any location). At least this location generally remembers to give you napkins without you having to special request them, so I added a star just for that. Plus, the All-American hot dog I tried was good! read more

No stars, the absolute worst Sonic I have ever been to! Took forever to place order, then waited almost 40 min to get shakes and slushes. The girl seemed like she didn't want to be there. She brought the wrong drinks and also forgot one. When she walked back to get the right drinks she took almost ten minutes. My husband got out of the car and went to the door to yell at them. I go to school at UHCL and always thought it was a very convenient place for a sonic. So today I decided to try it out since it didn't look busy (maybe 5 cars tops) with my boyfriend. We pull in and it takes about 2 minutes for somebody to take my order, which is no big deal I work in the food industry I know sometimes people are busy. So we order a sweet tea, Dr Pepper, and 4 cheese sticks. We placed our order around 11 and class started at 11:30, I thought I had plenty of time. 15 minutes passed by and I'm wondering where my order is, it's only two drinks and an order of cheese sticks. But again, I understand they might be busy. Then around 11:20 comes around it says that the carhop is on their way. I wait until 11:25 and STILL NOTHING. I pressed the button to cancel my order due to my class starting and the one who answered yelled, "it's coming ok". Never in my life have I been so baffled. I drove into a stall tonight around 9:30 and asked for an ocean water. I was told they ran out of coconut. Fair enough...but then the girl taking our order felt it was more important to talk to her coworkers instead of taking the rest of my order. Always have good service. Food is usually fresh and hot. Request your napkins and ketchup when ordering as with all Sonics there is usually only 1 or 2 napkins...no ketchup. I love the limeades and blasts. read more

We had to wait around 6 or seven minutes just to get our order taken. Like we pushed the button and just sat there. After we ordered ( three drinks, mozzarella sticks, one hot dog), we waited 25 MINUTES!!!! What? Are we at a sit down restaraunt?? We didn't order steaks. We didn't even order full meals! I want to say something nice about Sonic in general, and this one in particular - since I live very nearby. I just can't. The service is slow and bad and or just flat out wrong almost every time. The food is soggy and or cold every single time. The quality of their ingredients gets worse every time we've been there - which is plenty of times in the last 15+ years. The sodas really DO often taste moldy and considering that my stomach is blown up every time I eat there, I suspect they're just not cleaned well. I will not be spending any more money there unless a miracle happens. Shame, too, because I used to like their foot long cheese coney and tots. Probably the best sonic burgers I've had. At lunch. Had a problem one evening that they *did take care of* the following day. Ordered a #2 combo with only mayo, and of course once I opened the burger in my car, miles down the road, the burger is all the way. Too far to turn back, had to scrape the stuff off and eat it, but definitely did call back the next day. They immediately took down my name and offered a replacement meal on the house. At this Sonic I ordered a Crispy chicken sandwich. I was half way through the sandwich when I realized that it was raw chicken. I called the server to tell her and her first response was to immediately cook me another one. Now, I may be alone here but after eating raw chicken I have NO DESIRE to eat more chicken from the same place, or anything else for that matter. So, I told her I would not like another sandwich and that I would like to speak to the manager. The manager nonchalantly came to the car and I showed him my raw chicken sandwich. He slipped me some coupons and said "Are you sure you don't want us to cook another sandwich for you?"
