    Chili cheese dog with mustard
    Joe W.

Probably the worse sonic I have been too other then they did get the order right hence the 2 stars. Starting off I ordered online then drove from my location 3 min away to this sonic and my family waited there for 20 minutes just to get a wacky pack, footlong chili cheese dog, 6 BBQ wings and 2 drinks. All the stalls were empty except for the drive through that was also moving very slow. I am extremely disappointed at this sonic as all the others I have been to get the order out in 10 minutes or less. The chili dog was a BIG disappointment after getting home it has hardly any chili on it and the cheese was mostly on the outside of the bun. Not saying song go to this Sonic just be ready to wait a LONG time for your order and for it to be somewhat on the ghetto side of how they make it and how much effort they put into it.

Ordered onion rings. They had a strange flavor. Service was good and it has a nice vibe.

Service by Devon was fast and courteous. Slushie, cherry limeade and rootbeer float were tasty.

Not sure I have ever seen an adult working, but these "kids" know what they are doing and provide great service. The food is good. I have had burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings and tots. I have to say that I am not a fan of the root beer. I like root beer and don't claim to be a connoisseur, but know that in-house recipes can sometimes be a bit different than the traditional canned sodas. Also, the onion rings are good, but I am a value seeker and can get a hamburger or other entree with meat for $2-$3 less. Paige's has now become one of our Dunnellon stops when in the area.

I ordered a single cheeseburger, small fry and a root beer. Wish they offered a combo of some sort as it was $13. The root beer was my pull to come here (obviously!) and I had such high hopes. Unfortunately it was flat and tasted watered down. It came straight out the tap and my mouth was watering waiting for it. Just didn't taste good, maybe my expectations were too high. The cheeseburger was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. It wasn't horrible but I was expecting something to sink my teeth into. It was just simply "ok". The French fries were the highlight. Hit, crispy, yummy. That's the best part of the meal. The atmosphere is like a diner and I was met with a very nice young man who greeted me and pleasant. The service was quick. They had Christmas music playing and I was about to read a book while enjoying my meal as I as the only one there but shortly after I sat down a guy came in and chatted away on his cellphone which was on speaker (no etiquette dude!). I don't feel the price tag matches the meal I ate. But kudos to the hospitality!

Fried chicken was really tasty with a perfect crunch and juicy chicken. The fried catfish was breaded with cornmeal, perfectly crispy, also well seasoned and very moist and tender inside. The tartar sauce was homemade and very good but they also have a good peppered vinegar. Between us all we had an opportunity to try a lot of sides. Hush puppies which one of our hush puppy lovers said was the best she ever had (I'm not a fan of these overall so I can't really say). The potato salad was very good, creamy, with just a hint of onion and relish. Baked potatoes and sweet potatoes were enjoyed by all. Loved the crispy okra and green beans. Collard greens were also good. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the pies. Caramel apple walnut was a little too nutty for me but it was still good. They key lime was my personal fave -- the crust was a good crumbly graham cracker that was definitely home made. We also had a lemon meringue and the chocolate coconut cream pie, which was essentially a half and half with chocolate cream and the bottom and coconut cream on the top. Both had beautiful, moist meringues with nicely toasted tops. On top of good food, we had a great waitress who was super attentive and very patient and friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for some nostalgic, good southern comfort food.
