For the past four months I've passed by so many times and say next time. Today was next time. I wanted to love it. But I can't. I ordered a single cheeseburger, small fry and a root beer. Wish they offered a combo of some sort as it was $13. The root beer was my pull to come here (obviously!) and I had such high hopes. Unfortunately it was flat and tasted watered down. It came straight out the tap and my mouth was watering waiting for it. Just didn't taste good, maybe my expectations were too high. The cheeseburger was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. It wasn't horrible but I was expecting something to sink my teeth into. It was just simply "ok". The French fries were the highlight. Hit, crispy, yummy. That's the best part of the meal. The atmosphere is like a diner and I was met with a very nice young man who greeted me and pleasant. The service was quick. They had Christmas music playing and I was about to read a book while enjoying my meal as I as the only one there but shortly after I sat down a guy came in and chatted away on his cellphone which was on speaker (no etiquette dude!). Have visited several times and always a good experience. Each time the employees appear to be in their teens. Not sure I have ever seen an adult working, but these "kids" know what they are doing and provide great service. The food is good. I have had burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings and tots. I have to say that I am not a fan of the root beer. I like root beer and don't claim to be a connoisseur, but know that in-house recipes can sometimes be a bit different than the traditional canned sodas. Also, the onion rings are good, but I am a value seeker and can get a hamburger or other entree with meat for $2-$3 less. I was out for a motorcycle ride down to Ocala to check up on my mom's house, as she was away and sometimes you just need to do that sort of thing, and decided to ride out to Dunellon to see what was happening out there on the way home. I passed by the usual places that motorcyclists hit... the places down by the river, the bars, etc. and instead went to Paige's for a burger. Walking in, there was plenty of seating, and I was greeted warmly. The place has a decent "Diner" vibe to it, though their menu is not a complete diner-style menu, but more on the fast-food burger joint side of things. Looking over the menu they have the usual fast food offerings, which is what I wanted without the corporate signature splashed over them. Aside from the usual burgers and chicken sandwiches, I saw they had hotdogs, patty melts, BLT's, and even a pork tenderloin sandwich available... however, I was up for a burger so that is what I went for. The star of the show, however, was the root beer float that I went for. I mean, root beer is in the name of the place, and they make their own, so I definitely had to try it out! I was not disappointed! The burger was good, but really the root beer float was the king of this meal, and that is saying a lot from a guy who prefers savory over sweet. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area and don't want to have to deal with the long wait down by the river for mid-level fried foods. read more

Some of the best smash burgers I've ever had. Crispy and sweet onion rings. Hand dipped shakes. How can you go wrong with any of this, absolutely friendly owner/workers. We stopped by after a float trip down Rainbow River. The root beer is on tap and delicious! My boys love root beer and so do I. We got burgers and fries and root beer. Free refills on the root beer, which was a nice surprise. The burgers were delicious so were the fries and onion rings. After we ate, we decided we want to try the milkshakes. They were delicious. We tried the banana, the chocolate banana, the root beer, and vanilla. I felt like the whoop or milkshake needed more root beer flavor, but it was nice. The thing that really stood out to us was their customer service. They were so welcoming when we arrived asked us if we had been there before. Ask us where we are from. And they were just so helpful. Even one of the owners came to our table to talk to us for a little bit. This place has excellent customer service Definitely will be back when we're in the area. read more

I have eaten here twice. First time the patties were overcooked and had crunchy edges. The second time I got the wrong burger. They never got the correct burger out to me, gave me a coupon which seems to have a week expiration? Food is subpar. I was not impressed. read more

The wife and I went today to have lunch. The burgers were good, as they were last time. The fries were terrible. Tasted like they were precooked and heated up. Tasted like cardboard. For $4.60 an order they weren't Edible. The root beer was flat. We were very disappointed. For 1 small burger, 1 medium burger, 2 drinks and 2 large fries. Get a burger here. Cooked great with the perfect amount of crunch on the edges. I got a double and was very reasonable price. Their rootbeer has good flavor without being overly sweet. A little light on carbonation for my taste but would get again for sure. Food came out fast too. read more

This was our first time at this location. Customer service at the counter was fantastic. The guy was super friendly and accommodating. We ordered cheeseburgers and tots with cheese, a chocolate milkshake and a rootbeer float. All was terrific. The food was fresh and hot! They have a good menu filled with good choices. They are now open everyday and take credit cards, which is a huge plus. Location is convenient too. The ambience is nice, with a lot of seating, good music, and very clean. Really good food in an unpretentious, nothing cute or gimmicky about it space. The burgers are among the best I've had. Charred at edges, juicy and well seasoned, served on a bun that is a good match in size and texture. Crisp and substantial onion rings, and great root beer and shakes.
