Chili fries, patty melt and double bacon cheeseburger
    Tsz-Cheong C.

My first experience with sonics dates back to 2002 in Oklahoma city. The food is OK with average tasting burgers, but the milk shakes are really delicious. What sets Sonics apart from other fast food restaurants is the nostalgic 50's inspired car port dining experience. Driving up to a car port and ordering your food which is brought to you by a server on roller skates is pretty cool. You also have the choice of dining inside or order through the drive thru. Beef and chicken burgers, chili dogs, french fries, tater tots, onion rings and mozzarella sticks are all served here. Like I mentioned earlier they have great frozen drinks, slushies and desserts here. They have an app you can download to redeem perks but the app is pretty worthless. My son loves going here more for the gimmicky carhop roller skater food delivery system. There are other fast food burger chains with better tasting burgers, but if you're into carhops delivering food directly to your car via roller skates, then this is the perfect place for you.

You been to one, you been to all. Food is nothing to write home about but service is good and if you lazy like me, a car hop is what you need. Who doesn't like sitting in their car and have someone bring over the food? Bottom line it's cheap and it's a quick bite.

Due to COVID-19, your choices are very limited after 11 PM. Thankfully, Sonic is within driving distance. For those not familiar with SONIC, its a DRIVE-IN, not a DRIVE-THRU. You drive your car into one of the stalls in the parking lot and you order your food. A server on roller skates brings your food out to your car and you eat your food in your car. This business model is thriving under the social distancing paradigm. Ambience/Decor: If you like ordering and eating in your car, then this place is for you. Food: This is fast food, don't get your hopes up on quality. Other than the myriad of shakes and frozen drinks, you have your standard fare of burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches. There is nothing here that really jumps out at you as outstanding, but then again, there is nothing here that is overly bad either Service: The servers are delivering your food on roller skates!!! TL/DR: If you are out looking for a quick burger at midnight, come to Sonic if for no other reason than to see servers on roller skates.

Sonic is an experience. I took my nephew here this past Sunday. He ordered the chili dog with French fries and a lemonade. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and lemonade. We both enjoyed our meals. I like that Sonic creates an old school experience because we ordered from the drive-in station and the waitress brought us our food to the chair. She was wearing rollerblades. My nephew enjoyed the Sonic experience. He stated that he would want to come back soon. Thank you Sonic for your awesome food and great experience.

Great shakes and drinks and slushes - half off in the app. Had the churros as well and they were overdone and tasted burned.

I know it's fast food so it's not going to be Great , I just want descent . But this place sucks ! They have a new garlic bacon cheeseburger sounds good right . Nope because the people making them don't understand garlic is potent you don't need a lot , so what do they do pile it on so now you're just eating a greasy garlic mess . It's wouldn't be bad if fast food prices were normal but 13.97 for a meal I'm going to throw out . Skip this place and just eat at home . Drink are the only good things there but how do you mess that up

    The water bottle

I love sonic food so much so i'm throwing you guys three stars. But im in shock and im absolutely no t happy about what happened at this establishment today. I went to sonic with 6 of my friends. I ordered a water and I was charged for it. I was given a water bottle so I figured it was because I don't specify i wanted an ice cup water. That's fine that's okay. But then my friends all proceed to get free water and the same water bottle that i paid 3 dollars for. She only charged me. This made me feel targeted;, upset, confused, frustrated and embarrassed. Charge for water or don't, but don't pick and choose who you charge though. Can't help but wonder why I was chosen for this three dollar charge. Sonic obviously discriminates on some basis, like it or not. what basis? i'm not sure. But leaving this here, something to think about.

Shit on toilet seat and in toilet

The best part of our meal was a kids skateboard, service was "great" shit all over the toilet food was nasty

Was craving sonic since it's been a while. They completely messed up my order and charged me more than what I'm supposed to pay. I told them and said they would get back to me. They ended up giving me a free milkshake which was nice, but i didn't want extra tots or drinks.

Sonic is slowly losing their flare. What used to to a quick inexpensive takeout is now slowly becoming expensive for no reason. Today I ordered my usual order and noticed they are now charging for things they hadn't before... a slice of lime 30 cent, half a slice of tomato 20 cent, pickle slice 30 cent, extra strawberry purée 30 cents. This is what makes ppl stay home snd will influence how consumers spend their money

The first time I had sonic was on my way down to Virginia and it was honestly the best fast food I've ever had(at that time). I drove pass this Sonic a few weeks ago and knew I had to come back so I came back yesterday since it's been so long. First impression of this location, there's lots of drive in areas to order. Easy to order and menu is very clear. Touch screen TV also so you can go back to what they're advertising. Food came out after about 5-7 minutes after payment. - Chili cheese tots - 2 different styles hotdogs - Jr. Deluxe cheeseburger - Frozen shake with Snickers - Ocean water - limeade The tater tots were the best thing I ordered and the only "hot" in temperature thing I received. My cheeseburger was seriously room temp/cold. Is this against health regulations? I ate my food the moment I received it so there shouldn't be a huge temperature change. Hot dogs were super standard and drenched in sauce. It wasn't pleasant. The Frozen Shake was disgusting. I don't know how ice cream can be disgusting but there was warm whipped cream with my blend of Snickers and vanilla ice cream topped with stale and hard snicker pieces. Ocean water was disgusting too. Nothing like what I've had before and was super watered down. Staff that took our order and brought us our food was super friendly though. The problem starts with management and the kitchen staff.

Pumpkin shake and a Sonic cheeseburger with "the works"

Before you judge, let me explain myself. I do not eat fast food. When I was in my 20s, I'd swing by a burger chain, order a combo meal and be on my way. Those GTL days are over. Now I'll have a protein shake for lunch and have a nice early (Not bird wise ass) dinner. If I do want lunch, I'll switch up and have my shake for breakfast. Just how I roll being half way to 90. I've seen the funny commercials, I never knew Sonic Drive-In had locations on Long Island. When my Yelp bud TC checked into one, he was flipping out! You have to try the tots! Wanna know something? I'm down for a burger chain, lets see what's the hub bub is all about. I pull in and it hits me, this is a DRIVE IN. That means folks roller skating up to your car and delivering your lunch so can eat in the car, I hate eating in the car... I do see a few tables outside. And what happens in winter? Are they skating with trays in the the rain & snow? The menu board looks solid, this place is open until midnight? Good for the college kids all times of the day. A few commercials for products play on the menu board. I see a pumpkin shake?? I know its a faux pas but I order a small pumpkin shake in August. Shhh.. As for a combo meal? I don't want to eat a large fry and drink. I ordered a regular Sonic Cheeseburger with "the works", mini tater tots and my mini shake. Total price? $9.50 I don't want to yuck anyone's yum! If you enjoy fast food then you rock on with your bad self. When I unwrapped the burger, it looked rushed. Overall it had a nice taste. The tots spilled out of the bag, I have 7 ketchup packets that I hate to waste, it wasn't a Bill S happy meal. However! After looking at the menu board, they have corn dogs?? Man, I love corn dogs. With small tat tots? Sonic, you may have found a new customer. Now that's how I Sonic.

This was my first Sonic Drive-in experience in New York. Having visited one previously in North Carolina, this one takes the shake. My experience was a good one. Sonic is a classic 60's style Fast Food Drive-In experience. Those of you expecting a 5-Star dining experience with a linen table cloth should sit down and take a number. My daughter raved about the Sonic Oreo blast and asked if we could visit. During lunch I drove on over after avoiding visiting the Valley Stream location near Green Acres and the Queens border. I made a good choice. I placed my order for a beef hot dog, Corn Dog and 2 Oreo Sonic Blasts. Not really expecting much with 2 typical concession stand treats. ROLL... BOUNCE ! Jeremy was our server and he was quick on his wheels. He was friendly and quick. My corn dog was very good. Crispy outer layer of fried corn meal coated in a hot dog. Very good. For 99 cent I was shocked. Many have complained about not enjoying food at Sonic. I thoroughly enjoyed my Oreo blast. Very delicious. Full of Oreos and tasty. I'll be back. Like Arnold

Since we were dining in, they gave us a table number and we placed it in the holder so staff know where to bring the food. Our order didn't take very long to arrive to our table, just about 10 minutes. After finishing your meal, you bus your own table. The menu has options for burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, shakes, floats, and desserts. I ordered a Yellow Label Burger ($13.45) and a Strawberry shake ($6.75). My husband and I shared a Farm Salad ($9.75). The Yellow Label Burger comprises of USDA Prime Beef, homemade fried mac n cheese patty, lettuce, tomato on a potato bun. This was delicious! I liked how after biting into the crispy, breaded exterior it gives way to a hot, molten cheese center that oozes perfectly over beef. The Farm Salad which consisted of spring mix, tomato, blue cheese crumbles, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette on the side was also very very very tasty, fresh, and a good portion. The strawberry shake was also very good and had pieces of strawberries. Black Label Burgers pride on only using USDA Prime Angus beef that comes from a single source, Double R Ranch, located in Washington State, a family-owned farm known for its responsible practices and superior beef. You can definitely taste the richness and juiciness of the beef. My husband had the Red Label Burger ($13.25) and the PB&J shake ($7.75). He really enjoyed his meal as well. I really liked the inside decor and the laid back vibes. Black Label Burgers is great for a quick lunch, a night out with friends, or a family dinner. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the place was busy, always a good sign. I liked the local (Long Island) themed decor, friendly service, spacious parking lot, wide variety of self-serve beverages (tangy lemonade - yay!) and nicely padded booths. Definitely a cut above competitors like Shake Shack in that regard. I chose the signature black label burger made with dry aged beef and regular fries. While the hand cut fries were wonderfully crispy and flavorful, the burger was kind of disappointing - not terrible, but the bun tasted stale and the meat was very bland. Also I ordered the burger cooked medium but it came out pink in the center, not my preference for chopped meat. Maybe I ordered the wrong item? I plan to try other menu items in the future to see if they hit my taste buds differently.

We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night, yet it took over 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive our food. Even then, at the 45-minute mark, only about 40% of our order arrived. For a party of six, our order was not particularly complicated: two burritos, two taco meals, a chicken sandwich, and guacamole with chips. The remainder of the order did not arrive until the 1.5-hour mark. To make matters worse, my son's meal was incorrect when it finally came out, adding even more delay and frustration to an already lengthy wait. Throughout the wait, there were no drink refills, no updates on our order, and little attention from the staff. We also received no napkins or serving utensils with our food and had to ask for basic items that should have been provided from the start. The dining experience itself lacked any atmosphere. There was no music playing and no television on, which only made the long wait feel even longer and more uncomfortable. As for the food, it was lackluster and underwhelming. Tortilla chips and fries were burned. Bun for chicken sandwich was not warmed. The dishes were very basic, with little presentation or attention to detail, and they certainly did not justify the extended wait. What made the experience especially confusing was that this all happened while we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night. A simple order, an empty dining room, no communication, no refills, an incorrect meal, and a 90-minute wait just didn't make sense. The only positive aspect was that the restaurant is dog-friendly. Otherwise, this was one of the most frustrating and puzzling dining experiences we've had in a long time.
